That’s Reese on keys… he’s great and he plays for Joe bonomassa now 💕

Reese was and still is a keyboard master. His keyboard work with Stevie was perfect for the music that was boiling out of SRV.

If that song doesn’t move you, nothing will! This song is so good it brings tears to my eyes. Just an unbelievable performance by Stevie and his band. Gone too soon. His music will live on forever. Just a scorcher!❤

Reese joined the band for his 3rd album, Soul to Soul. Couldn’t Stand the Weather is the title track of his second album. One of my favorites.

I think the “Mary had a Little Lamb“ 1989 Austin TX is a must see th-cam.com/video/WWU6hpPJG_c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-2oPf6UUS8crOPx0
This also features Reese Wynans keyboard

Reece Wynans🎹🎶💯. He had just joined the band the month before this performance and was with them to the end. Reece brought so much to the table and it really helped Stevie to catch a break throwing to Reece. He is featured on many more songs so you are in for a treat.
    More featuring Reece:
Mary Had A Little Lamb Austin City Limits 1989
Riveria Paradise Austin City Limits 1989⭐️🌟✨💯‼️🎶🎹. A must see💯. This is the extended and incredible version!
Cold Shot Austin City Limits 1989
To name a few. Reece is still touring as the keyboard player for Joe Bonamassa
Stevie also has some official videos that I've never known to be blocked and Cold Shot is one of them and it is tongue in cheek and hilarious☺️
    Keep these coming Lee🎸🎶💙‼️

Reece Wynans on the keys - joined the band around 85 and became part of Double Trouble ever after. And his skills to play off Stevie - they have a special chemistry. "Mary Had a Little Lamb" Live at Austin City Limits (1989 so late Stevie at his best) - Reece goes crazy in that and its also some of Stevie finest jazzy blues along with phenomenal clean super smooth vocals. One of his most classic live cuts (which one isn't?). Thanks for keeping his fire alive! Peace/

Reese was doing his thing for sure. Love it. But also I would point out that this is a masterclass in playing rhythm guitar.

My favorite live version of this by Stevie and Double Trouble. The Capital Theater is in New Jersey. SRV liked his Texas flag as his backdrop.
For your next Stevie Sunday I suggest something a little different.
Willie the Whimp live from Denmark. Whole band having fun!

Reese is to the keys as SRV is to the guitar. Added to Double Trouble in 1985. Stevie called the expanded Double Trouble a triple threat. Top musicianship, every one of them, and top camaraderie and respect.

Reese Wynans was part of Dickey Betts’ band Second Coming who jammed with Duane Allman and Jaimoe and became The Allman Brothers Band. Duane eased Reese out in favor of his little brother Gregg, obviously not from any lack of talent by Reese, but because he was his little brother and was a great singer and songwriter. Gregg died in 2017, and Reese played The Allman Brothers Band’s 50th Anniversary show. SRV loved The Allman Brothers Band and saw them play just before Duane died in a motorcycle crash.

So now I’m realizing that this show when he played there, was before I even knew he existed I was probably 15 or 16. What a dunce I am. I lived 1 mile from the theater at that time.

Lee if you love when he plays on the neck you won't believe how he does this at the Montreux Jazz Festival 1985 performing Tin Pan Alley featuring Johnny Copeland as well. You've heard the Toyko version but this is a must watch as it so completely different. He never played the same song the same way ever. Only played in the moment🎶🎸💙

I was at the Capital Theater in Passaic, New Jersey in 1985. I saw Hellhammer, Exciter, Mercyful Fate and Motörhead headlining. I wish I was old enough to have seen the Frank Zappa show there with the yellow snow, and I jumped up and down on the on chest of a… and the Grateful Dead played there and everybody apparently. It’s been bulldozed for decades. I can’t remember what is there I think it’s a a store or apartment building. I don’t know.
