I grew up watching Senna and Piquet, than I saw Barrichello and Massa doing decent jobs. Now I'm happy to keep watching F1 and rooting for Brazilian guy!
@@f1alpaca i think 2025 will be a learning year for him, and i dont expect a lot from him. I hope the car gets good for 2026, and with the experience he gathers he can score points or even podiums
@@f1alpaca sauber will not be competitive next year, but it will definitly be a learning year, 2026 is where we can expect some good point finishes but still cans expect much from Audi in the begining, its very likely they wont hit it right at the beggining.
One thing that few people know is that, unlike other drivers like Antonelli, Bearman, Mini, Colaponto, Hadjar, etc., Gabriel did not do an extensive testing program. He did not do this in F3, he did not do this in F2 and he will not do this in F1. This makes his results in F3 and F2 even more impressive, even when compared to drivers like Piastri and Russel, who always had previous testing programs.
One very important thing. He is only 20 years olds and speaks like a very experienced driver. He as great persona and always talk the real deal without excuses.
Came from the future to say this guy really made it! F2 champion!! 🏆 Sadly the best rookie will drive the worst F1 car. Things are not easy for brazilians...
As far as I heard the Mclaren driver develpment program was created because of him, Tony Kanaan, as he is one of the Mclaren racing departament directors, said he had a hand behind it all
Because of who? because McLaren has a junior program since early 2000s Hamilton/Magnussen/Vandorne/Norris are examples of McLaren junior drivers. They have others driver in their program too.
Also Bortoleto chose the number 5 as his race number which has a lot of history in F1 being the number of drivers like Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Michael Schumacher (when he wasn't at Ferrari), Emerson Fittipaldi, Sebastian Vettel, Nelson Piquet, Fernando Alonso, and other drivers that i might have not mentioned
bad joke when you say Zhou can show more... never showed any potential at F1, F2 or others... just ogt a seat due truck of money (money talks). Prove its medium/ good new drivers such as Olie and Colapinto are doing more than half of the grid... now imagine latest 2 F2 champions there, together with Vesti and now Bortoleto...
@@f1alpaca what does he mean is that Brazilian drivers do suffer a lot with Ayrton Senna's shadow, especially every youngster who showed any potential whatsoever, suddenly had to deal with "does he is the new Ayrton Senna?" conversations early on; drivers such as Felipe Massa, Bruno Senna, Felipe Nasr and others got that pressure from both media and fans, especially in Brazil where the fans missed a proper champion since Senna's death 30 years ago, and, yes, Bortoleto has some chance of joining that group
It’s been a long, long time. Brazil has a huge history in F1. I hope Bortoleto honors that legacy.
I am certain he will
I grew up watching Senna and Piquet, than I saw Barrichello and Massa doing decent jobs. Now I'm happy to keep watching F1 and rooting for Brazilian guy!
He looks very promising. I just hope the Sauber is competitive next year

He's a quick learner
Bortoleto: F3 first year, champion. Now F2 first year, champion. What a performance!
Phenomenal. Crushing performance this season
I am so happy to see bortoleto in f1 VOA BORBOLETO 🦋🦋🦋🦋
One very important thing. He is only 20 years olds and speaks like a very experienced driver. He as great persona and always talk the real deal without excuses.
He is ready, no doubt.

True. Like Alonso said, Bortoleto will have the worst car next season among the other rookies, hope people don't forget that he is the best rookie
Pra o Brasileiro nunca é simples, mas felizmente a gente também não desiste fácil
I'm ******* happy for Bortoleto, but still upset for Drugovich, that dude deserved the seat as soon as he was signed at AM
You know the story of the Aston Martin seat
He's also very mature for his age.
THE BOY FROM BRAZIL!
Bro is 2 years older than me and is already in F1, I'm cooked 😭😭😭
You're not the only one mate
You got 2 years, no excuses.
That means you’re the same age as Kimi Antonelli mate
As far as I heard the Mclaren driver develpment program was created because of him, Tony Kanaan, as he is one of the Mclaren racing departament directors, said he had a hand behind it all
Thanks. Didn't know that

amazing video, this deserves such recognition than bortoleto
Thanks
-Que venha logo 2025, 7 anos ja foi tempo demais brasileirinho😭

-Come 2025, come soon, 7 years is already a long time Brazilians
DONT FORGET GUYS A LOT OF US BRAZILIANS DIDNT HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE THE SENNA YELLOW HELMET AND BORTOLETTO BROUGHT THIS FEELING BACK IN F2,
Good video, fair assessment. Keep it up
Thanks
Such a great video, this deserves more recognition
Bortoleto 🏁🏁🏆🏆🏆🏆🇧🇷🇧🇷🏎️🏎️🏎️
Let's see when rains. There was another brazilian who started with a bad car... and we know what happenned 🙂
"I believe the title is his to take" - well and so he did!
So he did indeed
Ainda bem que ele terá dicas de Alonso para acertar e melhorar o carro já que o Mago New vai estar na Aston Martin
I hope sauber doesn't do him dirty like they did to Felipe Nasr who got the IMSA championship with his mate driving for Porsche Penske this year

Bortoleto ❤
4:03 the brazilian martin brundle
He won the F2 a couple weeks ago, please update your video. Thank you.
If I had a penny for every rookie that's "a future superstar" I'd have 3 pennies in 2025.
🇧🇷
VERY GOOD ❤ THANKS
😊
I think that’s exactly what’s missing on F1, competitive cars and Brazillians
I think next year will be quite competitive, at least among the top 4 teams
No one is a superstar one day before.
True, but the guy won F3 and F2 titles in successive rookie years. Not many drivers have done that
After Fitipaldi, Senna, Massa and Barrichelo another Brazilian descendant of Italians in formula 1. Ps.: just a curious thing

I think it's a bit more complicated than that
I think both sauber drivers are underestimated because of their car. The first year of Alfa Romeo showed us some potential.
Bro, its not BOROLEROU. Its BorTOleTO. T T T.
Gee, here comes the pronunciation police
It's funny when being Ayrton Senna's compatriot is both a gift and a burden. I hope he has an incredible season within his team's limitations.
Another one to be crushed by Senna's ghost...
what?
