I don't know. I don't think she's in a right state of mind. If you've ever listened to some of her recent songs then you'd know that losing Joe after 7 years (the guy she thought she'd marry) was a big deal. Songs like cornelia street(which expresses a fear of losing him), the great war, lavendar haze, lover, endgame, delicate, gorgeous, king of my heart, dress, new year's day, call it what you want, paper rings, daylight, cruel summer etc. have been about him so breaking up with him was terrible and not just that but she was in the middle of a tour. Even as a fan of the The 1975's music, if you know anything about the band you know that Matty has often come off as a pretentious asshole. It's usually come off as a bit annoying more than anything, but ultimately harmless. This however is just unacceptable and trash behaviour. I will add, the podcast where Matty made those comment was on a podcast run by two comedians who from I understand are known to their fanbase for that type of "edgy boy" humour, so if you read the comments sections under the podcast posted to TH-cam, you can see a lot of their fans are not phased by it all, in fact it seems like they're playing it off.
Cum town was a great podcast and The Adam Friedland show is also great. People have different tastes when it comes to comedy but getting upset months later is embarrassing.

Someone commented on one of my comments on another channel that Taylor Swift has been Regina George this whole, and I can't get the accuracy of that comparison out of my head since. I love Taylor, however I don't get why she would date a person who goes almost everything she and her fans support. As a POC swiftie, this has been very overwhelming and disappointing for me. I agree with everything you have stated. I already spent thousands on her merch and concert tickets. I have went to the Tampa show and have planned to go to the Detroit show. However, I want to sell my ticket ASAP. As a black female, I cannot support this. It breaks my heart because I have been with her since she debuted. I adore her music and have stood by her when it got so ugly with her image. However, she is making it very clear what her actual beliefs are. I feel like her music is not 'made' for people like me.... Also, I used to support Lana, and even went to her concerts and bought merch. I cannot anymore after what she said back in 2020. I guess I am forced to support black artists only. Ummm...I think you've got it all wrong. Firstly, I don't think Taylor meant for Joe to be harassed. Her making a song about her break up doesn't mean she wants him to be villainized. It's a way of expressing herself and in a way, she's addressing the rumors and trying to make people understand how it all fell apart. Never in the song does she insult or antagonize Joe, or call him a cheater like everyone thought he was. Secondly, no I don't think Taylor is in her best period rn. She just broke up with someone she dated for 7 years, who she loved and who 90% of her songs is about, who stayed with her through thick and thin and not only that but she's in the middle of the biggest tour of her life. You know what would be a better idea than having ice spice as a feature, breaking up with Matty and publicly saying you are against bigotry. I remember being a fan of Taylor in the 00s when she was heavily making country sounding songs. What became her appeal in the beginning was that people wanted to know who she was singing about in her songs, as she started dating celebrities it became more interesting to line up the boyfriends to the song. Some people became annoyed by that aspect but people being entertained by the situation out weighed them. I believe people being sexist about her creative process she decided to become more private about her love life. Her diehard ride or die fans would disagree but I feel like her new original album fell flat. When I looked up back into squad era once, she was quoted as saying "if I'm always going to be seen and have my pictures taken a lot, I want to be seen with a lot of friends". It was in a magazine too I think.With that being said, I'm always so surprised by how many people would still act like all of her friendships were genuine and that this squad was anything other than an attempt to be everything, everywhere all at once. Seriously...that Karma remix sounded like a parody of a generic pop star for an SNL skit. I really had to double check that it was actually Taylor Swift's music video, and I don't even really care too much for her music. Normally, it's at least catchy, but that was pure dumpster fire ear trauma. I get that the timeline of the collab would have had to have been before all this backlash, but the quality of that song is so sus. Let's not forget that we live in the age of AI generators that can throw stuff together in 30 secs or less in some cases, and all a creator would have to do is editing. But unfortunatly recently something happened that upset me.(other than the issues that have come up, there's a thing that's more personal for me) I'm a gen z fashion designer from Iran and because of where I'm from I don't get a lot of opportunities to show my work. When I was in high school(5 years ago) I sent taylor a bunch of sketches I had done inspired by reputation album and I did it just to say how much I idolize her. I recently saw one of my sketches made into one of her looks from her eras tour and another designer was credited. It made me really sad cause taylor always talks about standing up for young artists😔

Even as a fan of the The 1975's music, if you know anything about the band you know that Matty has often come off as a pretentious asshole. It's usually come off as a bit annoying more than anything, but ultimately harmless. This however is just unacceptable and trash behaviour.
I will add, the podcast where Matty made those comment was on a podcast run by two comedians who from I understand are known to their fanbase for that type of "edgy boy" humour, so if you read the comments sections under the podcast posted to TH-cam, you can see a lot of their fans are not phased by it all, in fact it seems like they're playing it off.

Someone commented on one of my comments on another channel that Taylor Swift has been Regina George this whole, and I can't get the accuracy of that comparison out of my head since. Her fans are the plastics, and her constant need to play the victim is giving Regina writing about herself in the burn book vibes. The rest of us who have seen through her facade this whole time have been given the Janis treatment. We are weirdos who must have some sort of unhinged obsession with her. In reality, she is just the epitome of tone-deaf elitism that those of us in the lower classes with real problems and struggles are fed up with. What makes Taylor even more sickening than the other elite is that she is never actually held accountable for her toxicity. For example, the private jet carbon emissions controversy...her response to it was disgusting, and none of her die-hard stans have any business calling themselves environmentalists if they had been prior to the incident and now. Not to mention the obvious weaponization of her fanbase (doxxing, death threats, and harassment over relatively minor criticisms) and her own past of grooming minors.
I'm sick of her whiny, victim complex. She is emotionally stunted, and it isn't a good look. The deification of celebrities is a major problem in this country, especially when such celebrities platform problematic people with problematic behaviors and ideas. You are who you choose to be around. If you associate with and fail to condemn people with disgusting behaviors and viewpoints then you are at the very minimum complicit and at the very worst exactly like them.

When I looked up back into squad era once, she was quoted as saying "if I'm always going to be seen and have my pictures taken a lot, I want to be seen with a lot of friends". Seriously...that Karma remix sounded like a parody of a generic pop star for an SNL skit. I really had to double check that it was actually Taylor Swift's music video, and I don't even really care too much for her music. Normally, it's at least catchy, but that was pure dumpster fire ear trauma. I get that the timeline of the collab would have had to have been before all this backlash, but the quality of that song is so sus. Let's not forget that we live in the age of AI generators that can throw stuff together in 30 secs or less in some cases, and all a creator would have to do is editing. That or she and her PR team knew the Ice Spice backlash would eventually become an issue and tried to get ahead of it.

There has not been enough time for the karma music video to be made, as well as CD production, for the ice spice feature to be a PR cleanup because of matty. But unfortunatly recently something happened that upset me.(other than the issues that have come up, there's a thing that's more personal for me) I'm a gen z fashion designer from Iran and because of where I'm from I don't get a lot of opportunities to show my work. When I was in high school(5 years ago) I sent taylor a bunch of sketches I had done inspired by reputation album and I did it just to say how much I idolize her. I recently saw one of my sketches made into one of her looks from her eras tour and another designer was credited. It made me really sad cause taylor always talks about standing up for young artists😔
