@@dirtygarageguy lol the only reason most people don’t do one full motion is because they working in tight spaces, you’ll still get an accurate reading using the right tools
I certainly agree this is good practice due to the fact the clicker wrenches do give false readings when bounced. The shock loading from bouncing causes the clicker tab to be more easily over come from users perspective letting out a audible click before reaching the desired torque value. That being said though, as others have pointed out; if the wrench is in good working order and no design flaw is present preventing it, the click tab will reset into the pivot pin. So on the next pull the wrench it will have been reset and able to obtain the proper torque value.

Sad part of this is that the factory if to blame for the problem here. If they didn't use plastic oil pump gears the problem would've been so common. I am rebuilding my 350 for the 2nd time because the shop that did the first one used the plastic oil pump gear that was available.
Very nice ! The one big issue with the KTM/ Husky /GG 350s and 250s . Cam journal grind damage ! Even with the 2015 and older 350s that had the big #1 journal bearings . Thinking of trying a Nikasil plating on the aluminum ? Seems like it would give it less resistance /slickness with the oil passages etc. Heat and hardness should be a bit better ? What do you think ?
I've got 3 KTM 350 cylinder heads that need this procedure. Do you still perform this refurbishing? I can't find anyone that can do it. Please contact me
How much does this repair typically cost? I unfortunately have the same issue with my Husky 350 head, however the plain bearings have worn significantly more into the head an cam bridge, I think the head may be beyond repair, however after watching this video it has made me think differently.
As always nice work! Why do you put those large screws in? I know that they are to keep the bearings from spinning and that they are on the non load bearing side but would it not be an idea to put a small hardened locating dowel in the head that does not break the surface of the bearing?
Thanks for an excellent video. Is there a reason to use aluminium instead of a more common plain bearing material like bronze or is it what was found in the garage?
