This reminds me of the PvP Ele build that's deep into enhance so you can melee between casts and have frostbrand on your weapon for some decent burst/slow. The guy had full caster gear and a +sp mace, he would melee weave with flurry and the frostbrand slow was just punishing.
On your paladin leveling guides, do you think the stam/spirit paladin would be able to compete in PvP while leveling? I enjoy picking fights on the way to 60 and didn’t know if that was viable enough to score some kills.
Stam/Int is better to pick fights. You end up having 120%+ more mana and can win most fights through raw durability. Reckoning = World PvP while leveling. Reckoning Pre-Charge, Goblin Mortar + Gnomish Netomatic + Swiftness Pot + Nades kills just about anything. The Bomb either kills or drops them so low in life they have to health pot... but if they pot to live = you can sit on them with auto attacks tell they die with Swiftness Pot. +Str Gear isn't needed. If no Reckoning you have to have Repent. But the battle plan is the same... Sit on People Tell they die. In both cases MANA is a big deal because if you don't have it some classes (Shaman / Priest) can out heal you and kill you same time... you go oom and die before they go oom and die... Same with Hunters. You oom and Die before you can chain togeather enough Time on Target to beat them to death. Mana Mana Mana Spirt is BAD because while Paladin is a button-less auto attack andy OFFENSIVELY... they are a Button Spammer DEFENSIVELY / in PvP. Cleanse, Freedom, Heals, Seals, Judgements... Spirt Regen suffers... Goblin Mortar, Gnomish Net, Nades, Swiftness Pots.
@@kapbetutaleks2878I’m not saying your wrong, but that’s why I am asking playtime. A lot of builds playtime talks about during PvP from what Iv seen have been based around not basing stat builds around str/agi. For example when I played Druid sometimes the optimal build was to have a big health/mana bar, not damage stats. The long game. I have not tested the Stam/spirit in the way he has and a lot of his topics I have never really thought about so maybe I am missing something. Edit: he replied while I was replying. Thanks man. Good write up. Makes sense.
If u were to level a Warrior in HC, would u also recommend a Shield? I tried to make it work in my head, but it seems to me that Warrior gets less benefit with shields than the other classes.
2 Hander is better for 1v1s... Shield is better for 2v1 or when you are in trouble. I would use a 2 hander but would be a fast 2 hander tell level 40. Its the miss miss, dodge, parry, miss that gets you killed as a warrior... or not knowing "Free action Potion + Shield Wall" is your "Bubble Run" Slow 1 hander with Shield for a war is LEGIT good though if you never tried it.
@@Morlon23 yeah... MC really helps the slow 2 hander play style. And sweeping strike + WW is GREAT 1vsX protection. You just have more tools to live at higher levels.
Hmm Is it better to use Flametongue? Or Frostbrand weapon? And what’s the set up after Healing Focus? Just enhancement like normal? Or is there an argument for elemental afterward?
I think you go hance... but honestly you can just do what ever. Hance increases your melee damage but your survivability all that much. Natures Swiftness... your 21 talent in resto... has no GCD... so you can Cast LB, Chain Light, and ES all in the same GCD... the CL having been NS'ed in this case. Defensively its chad AF and a really big deal. Once you are THAT deep in Resto... you will notice there are talents like +5% Nature Spell Crit... soo humm....
@ just by looking at the talent trees, you could go down to Nature’s Swiftness then switch to Elemental for Elemental Devastation then put the rest in enhance for 11% spell crit for lightning spells and possibly 14% melee crit. I know for a fact Frostbrand can crit too, not to mention most shaman gear that I recall has agil on it.. Not to mention, you can increase your armor even more with Ancestral Healing
I believe they mathed out the various weapon imbues and it varies based on what you trained most recently and other factors but the TLDR is.. it barely matters, they're all super close
@ I actually looked back at an old Defcamp vid and supposedly, for the most part, Rockbiter just takes the cake for choice while Windfury and Frostbrand have a variability which makes them somewhat comparable.. mind you this was during the beta so maybe that’s changed.
Fairly good question. Most players go Engi/Mining in Hardcore for Target Dummies, Nades, Recombobulator Trinket, Goblin Mortar and the early googles. As a Shaman this isn't a bad idea. Target Dumby + Earth Bind Totem is LEGIT to run away with ESPECIALLY if you have a speed potion. On my Paladin I have Bubble + Speed Pot Set Asside for RUN RUN RUN use only. Shamans can get a similar combo going with those items. Scratch that. Now That I am thinking about it. FREE ACTION potion = what you should run with. Lots of mobs Net and if you don't know which ones can easily kill you. So Running = Earth Bind DOWN + Target Dummy DOWN + Free Action and just Run. If you are deep enough in hance tree... so say you have 21 Points in Resto for NS... Improved Ghost Wolf is Legit amazing. 1s Cast +30% Run Speed with your freeaction potion. Yeah so Engi... because you gunna NEED Target Dummy.
So warriors spi / sta and shield too? It should be put to the test because there's too much theory and not enough concrete evidence for your claims. I leveled a pally full sta / spi and a 2 handers a couple months ago. The kill speed was atrocious but since it was my first pally I can't compare with a sta / str build. Pretty much indestructible. I died at lvl 59 on a stupid quest in Silithus, the mobs respawn endlessly and it wasn't explained well in Zygor so I went in quite confidently (they just said you're going to be ambushed by 3 mobs). I would advise to have a bit of int because sometimes spi regen isn't fast enough and having a deeper mana pool would help with having more heals before getting oom.
Yeah. I like 1/3 of my gear to be Stam/Int for sure. Just to much Spirt Regen when you don't need it and to little when you do otherwise. No idea about warrior... but I have heard repeatedly people say things like "I followed other warrior guides and kept dying... then I just put on a shield and it was MUCH better" The warriors levelign guides are like slow 2 handers + pull 2 mobs and Cleave. Couldn't pay me to level that way in Hardcore. A helpful bit of info is this... 1 in 45 mobs you fight will Dodge, Miss, Parry, Parry, Miss sooooo much that it will x2 how long they take to die. 1 in 200 Mobs will x3 Those slow 2 handers are GREAT! Until RNG comes for you... And thats to say nothing of random pats, respawns, layerings. Aim for Silvered Bronze gear and see how it feels I say.

After i ignored all HC guides for warriors i made it in protection spec and sword and board to 60 (1-30 in Fury). So yes, as i learned, sword and board is king for all classes who can wear it. [edit] only play HC SSF
Math seems to support that claim yes. Paladin is the only 2 hander class I think is viable to level as 2 Hander... just because heavy armor and SOOOO man get out of jail buttons. Do I Recommend it? Hell no!
No, we don't. There's plenty of actual Shaman exclusive content creators. He's just posting Shaman videos for content, not because he knows what he's talking about.
Shamns dont gain the same benefits of spirit mana regen as pallies and get much worse health regen than warriors. WF totally cares about weapon speed, as extra attacks with a 2h far outperform extra attacks with a fast 1h. That said, RB is arguably still better. Using 2 lightning bolts and a flame shock on every pull will have you drinking after 2 mobs. I actually prefer 1h + shield on HC Shaman, but its still mostly white hits, not a ton of spell damage. Maybe a shock, a light ing shield and a searing totem for spell damage, but seldom more than a r1 lightning bolt (to pull from distance) should be used.
WF doesn't care about weapon speed. She is 20% Chance to Proc Per Auto-Attack regardless of weapon speed. So for example a 3.8 Speed Wep will proc one time in 19s of swing time. While a 1.8 Speed Wep will Proc once in 9s. The Procs are more often... but do less Damage. DPS is almost = however if DPS or Weps are =. There was a chart some years back showing what weapon hancement were good and when... and it was all about dead even. Cdew I think made it or commented on it if you want to look it up. LB LB FS Auto Regen is what you do at the higher levels when it takes a LONG time to kill mobs and your LB's and FS's hit like a girl. They will take 50% Mobs life and you are stuck Autoing down the rest. Rather then DRINKING in Spirt Gear you just Pull Next Mob with LB and Kill it slower. LB's are Mana effeicent, Shocks are not. On Paladin I will kill a mob in 30s rather then 20s by not pushing duh buttons... letting spirt Regen. Drinking is downtime you just don't want.

Nope... all your weapon hancements go well with any wep speed. Its more about armor of target... high armor = Flametougue... low = Earth
