  • Child custody law in South Carolina has many facets. Our Family Law Unit Head Melinda Taylor reviews these facets and the 17 factors that a Family Court Judge reviews in making a decision when custody is contested. Listen and learn about custody 1) when parents are married v. unmarried; 2) legal custody v. physical custody; 3) sole custody vs. joint custody; 4) primary custody vs. secondary custody; 5) split custody; 6) shared custody; 7)visitation-standard, liberal and supervised; and much more!

My guardian adlitem did absolutely nothing and still charged a ton of fees! The court system is crap! He got away with leaving my 4 yr old in the vehicle for hours while he worked construction and did it multiple times. I even had proof as well as written affidavits from his ex employees. We spent thousands and nothing was done!

My ex-wife and I have a 14 year old son and she has let a man who is still married to a woman in New York move in with her and hes with each family every other week. the other man makes my child feel inferior and puts him down and has actualy publicaly threatened me when my exwife and he tried to beat me to the school on my day and check my son out on my designated day to take custody and cops had to be called to school which embarrassed my child.what should i do in this case he wants to live with me.
