i think deep down most people who do the tree, the presents, the decorations, dinner and movies do not care about christ or the biblical stuff. its about an experience to them and how it makes them feel. sometimes they use friends and family as a reason, but thats why we do thanksgiving.

Do not put Christmas above what the celebration is really for. U don’t know ppls heart or motives. Only God does.. yes u know by their fruits! They if believers answer to God. Not to me or u. Get your eyes on Jesus. Not the n ppls motives. Yours or mine. Self righteousness is a sin..pride how u got things right. And u pray just right-right? 🤔🤔 think about your own motives u do before God. They have a splinter you a log n your own eyes. Get yours out first.

What I have a problem with is Pastors who are supposed to know scripture to teach it correctly, justify celebrating Christmas by saying you do what makes YOU feel good and nevermind what God says repeatedly throughout scripture, old and new. Teaching others to disobey God and put yourselves first. How is that ok?

I no longer do. I knew for years it was pagan but purposely turned a blind eye to it until I read 2 Kings again and God convicted me after seeing how angry Israel made God for perpetually worshipping false gods. I cannot pretend anymore what Christmas really is and where it originated from. Placing a Christian stamp over idolatry doesn't make it ok no matter what you tell yourself.

    • @CaptainBars
      @CaptainBars 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

Although I cannot prove that Jesus was born in December, what I *can* prove is that you *cannot* that He wasn’t.
To elaborate on what I mean, let’s examine the account of when Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, served his week in the temple and burned incense. Many scholars believe that the duty he performed in Luke 1:8-9 was the regular daily task of incense-burning that the priests performed every morning and evening throughout the year as per Exodus 30:7-8. However, a careful examination of Luke 1:9-10,21-22 may suggest that one of the days in that particular week of incense-burning was the annual Day of Atonement. Here, we are told in verse 10 that “the whole multitude of the people” were praying outside during this time, and, more significantly, verses 9 and 21-22 appear to show that Zacharias was completely alone in the temple when he performed this duty and was visited by the angel Gabriel. For if someone else had been waiting/praying just on the other side of the curtain that separated the altar of incense from the rest of the temple’s court, then don’t you think they would have overheard the conversation between Zacharias and Gabriel instead of wondering why Zacharias was taking so long in there? Now when turning back to Leviticus 16, and focusing in on verses 12-13 and 17, the reader can see that on the Day of Atonement, an Aaronic priest was required to be completely alone in the Tabernacle (tent/temple) when performing the required duties. At other times of the year however, as seen in examples like Leviticus 9, Aaron and his sons, as well as Aaron and Moses, were clearly shown in the Tabernacle together. We can also find examples of Aaron and his sons *eating together* in the “Holy Place” (Tabernacle) in verses like Leviticus 6:16, 7:6, & 24:9. So aside from the Day of Atonement, was there any other time of year where the Torah commanded a priest to be completely alone in the Tabernacle? If not, then we may proceed to recall that the Day of Atonement occurred between mid-September and mid-October, and that Jesus was conceived six months after John the Baptist (Luke 1:26,36). And assuming again that John was conceived almost immediately after his father’s encounter with the angel, and that Jesus was in Mary’s womb for the normal period of nine months, we can jump ahead the fifteen (nine + six) months to reach a date ranging between mid-December and mid-January for Christ's birth.

Deu 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
Deu 12:31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.
Deu 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

This is correct, and what's worse is that Roman Catholicism sinfully re-cast the pagan feast of the birth of the sun god, Sol Invictus, which occurred near the winter solstice, as the birth of Christ and celebrated the blasphemous mass in his name: Christ's Mass.

Jesus' actual birth was actually around mid September, about when Feast of Tabernacles is celebrated. Constantine, as well as other traditions introduced pagan practices to special Christian dates and significant times, which we now practice today eg. Santa Claus, trees, mistletoe, etc however alot of these things have their roots in paganism and are not Bible based at all.

Alexander Hislop wrote a book about the catholic religion and says that December 25th was actually the birthday of Tammuz a false man god. He said that Nimrod's wife had a bastard child by her lover, and claimed it was the reincarnation of Nimrod. Birthday celebration was started by pagans/heretics during the time of Nimrod. His (Hislop) book. "Two Babylon's" tells a lot about how the Roman church absorbed the Christian religion and added the Nimrod era customs.....

The Christ Mass started as a church service, and why it was on the 25th of December may only be a matter of how the liturgical calendar worked out in those early days. They read the story, which happens very little now from what I can see. Why not anymore? What is not to love about the story? Even many unbelievers like the story even though they believe it to be a mere myth. More would like the story if we did not insist it is true (which is necessary). Publicly reading the story in our churches and in our homes would put the Christmas celebration back on its foundation.

(John 10:22-23) We do not need to bring a pagan holiday into the Church with all its pagan symbols and tell God that He needs to accept the way we worship Him instead of worshiping Him the way He said. Same goes for Easter.

No one knows precisely when Jesus was born. As far as I am aware. So if we take Christmas as his birthday and give thanks to Him, why is this so bad? If you celebrate it as a time to drink, overeat and don't believe in God (as so many don't), then that's up to them. Perhaps they like the idea of a Santa Claus with a toy factory, or maybe they like being drunk, overeating, and decorating the house. That's their prerogative. If Christians want to keep Jesus focused, then go for it. It is a chance to spend more time with Jesus, renew your faith, and give thanks for his coming. We won't fall into a pagan trap if we love God.

Good scripture example. Satan said: "You will not surely die" (Gen 3:4) That is the plan. Spin the truth and marginalize the sin. "Cancel" anyone who resists the corruption. It's called..."you shall be persecuted". Ever wonder why those persecuted in the tribulation are a small group? Because it will be a "little flock" that survives.(Luke 12:32) I hope you research everything and learn how much the denominations have created, "the commandments of men"...."But in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" Matt 15:9)......Good luck......Seek, research, learn the truth, never take their word.

Christ mass is to gather in his name to give thanks which is good anytime of year. We should not only be giving and take time for others once a year rather all year.
What is wrong as I see it is saying the day of Christmas is exactly the day God was born in the flesh for if incorrect this makes one a lyre and there is no proof of the apostles celebrating that day outside of hanukkah, the day Jerusalem was taken back by the tribes of isreal. Scripture actually points more around the fall time if studied as talk of when Mary being pregnant is spoken of as John the Baptist was born around the same year which 9months if the math is done points more towards the fall season. Plus men were in the fields this also points to harvast time not mid winter.
I leave trees and santa out of it even though my fam does not, I won't judge them for this possible sin though God might. I fear the Lord so I refrain from joining in reindeer games, I simply enjoy time with the fam and give thanks to Jesus Christ. Jesus ate with sinners not doing as they did but still loved them enough to gather with them, I am sure at the wedfing Jesus attended that paganism was around him at that time yet stayed with love n joy turning water into wine. Paul as well sat with greeks who did not believe when he visited athens woth paganism everywhere.
The world love xmas which most pagans and athiest do as well. This makes one wonder why....they hate the Lord yet crlebrate the day 🤔 sounds pagan enough to me.
The world dislikes those who speak truth and love Jesus Christ. Don't celebrate xmas and watch the hate spill out of people. A sign that its not about a holiday its about wanting to be apart of the world to fit in and pride that being people don't want to admit their errors. Celebrating xmas is not salvation. Belief in Jesus Chridt and repentance does. Traditions of men do not matter for all our works are as filthy rags.

The fluff of buying name brand and spending money for people who have everything is not what Jesus wants but what do you do with your pagan family members? I spend moderately and praise Jesus/God daily whether it’s Christmas or not.
I’d say, don’t go overboard lol and speak of our real Jesus and not about Ole Sanny Claus as my dad used to say lol
Have joy the year through and praise God and keep Him the focus.
At my family get together, we always pause and read scripture and then feast and open presents.
They will never be able to take away the true meaning of Christmas out of our hearts, even if they call it the holidays… will never work and we all know that.
Have a blessed Christmas with your loved ones and keep the peace and strive to live like Jesus did 365 and Jesus gives us choice and I know who I choose and act like it lol or strive to daily. Prayer for our loved ones daily and keep it going and don’t preach to family who don’t want it but let them see Jesus’s love in you❤

Christmas (Dec 25 A date choose by Man) A Day set aside to Celebrate by Giving in Kindness as GOD wants us to be loving and kind to each other all the time. But Christmas Is about fallowing the actions of Saint Nichols's act of giving In Honor of GOD to each other and our needy. We should celebrate JESUS our Savior's birth and birthday in May-June (YES, I realize the date is in question but think they're pretty close with May 20-21 or June due to the season being described with weather and fruit in season and the time frame) Mary picked a Fig to eat. So, this would have been in the spring. So, in my home we get to Celebrate GODs kindness Twice. Dec25: Do As St Nick and Santa Clause St Nick's helper. And then Again in May20: Birthday party for our Savor Jesus Christ in May! NO matter what you do, Always Celebrate God the father and Jesus Christ our Savoir! Enjoy your blessings and be Loved! Was she picking them on her way to Bethlehem, and she saw some figs, had to have them and told Joseph and the donkey to stop? Did she pick them while she was in labor or after she gave birth? What reason was she picking figs?Where in the bible (book, chapter ND verses) does it talk about Mary, the mother of Christ, or any other Mary in the Bible out fig picking 🤔

The history was that in the wake of pagan ritual outbreak the date was chosen to combat these pagan traditions with the worship and glorifying of Christ.
And, it worked. Those pagan rituals were quashed and instead the date became glorifying Christ’s birth.
It never needed a specific date, it should be celebrated all the time likewise with His death and resurrection.
But that’s the history of the 25th.
The world however is trying to claim hold of it again and with Easter. And the fact that the world is trying to remove Christ out of the picture for both dates should be quite the evidence to us.
      Thank you, and God bless.

      @@ribread9501
      Incorrect.
The problem was that people of Rome were worshipping on different days. The Sun worshippers were worshipping on Sunday and the Christians and Jews were worshipping on Sabbath (Saturday). So, they decided to make one day the day of worship and chose the day the Sun god was worshipped. Thus, Sunday worship was brought into the Church.
At the same time, Jews were being persecuted. And Christians did not want to be included in that persecution so they adopted Sunday worship and celebrated Easter, another pagan holiday, in place of Passover. All this to distance themselves from the Jews. Meanwhile, Jews who believed in Messiah were being killed off because they would not bow to Rome. They continued to keep Sabbath and Passover. As the Jewish believers were killed off, the leaders of the Church became Gentiles. Eventually those Gentiles decided they no longer needed to keep God's Law which further distanced themselves from the Jews. The harlot Church of Rome did all these things.
And when protestants left the Church of Rome, they adopted a lot of the same practices of the Church of Rome. None of them are practicing Christianity the way it is supposed to be practiced. They have basically thrown God's Law out of their Church along with His Holy Days and brought in Pagan holidays which polluted the Church, making it profane.
I hope someday they repent and come back to true Christianity and do what Messiah did. He kept God's Law perfectly. Which means He also kept God's Holy Days. We should be keeping God's Law and His Holy Days too. After all, His Law is to be written on our heart and it will become our very nature to keep it perfectly like Messiah did when we are transformed to be like Him at the second coming.
