Thank you. Looking forward to setting up my lodge and staying this year instead of working!

I have been to Ft. Bridger many times over the years, but never for the big event. I'm not so sure I'm missing much. That's a LOT of people.

It’s a good time, and chance to visit people I don’t see regularly, but yes it’s a lot of people

That was wonderful introduction. I am getting my trader tent together to start going to events. My son-in-law is a chef and we are wondering about being a food trader? Don't know what it is called.

There are several traders that sell “dinner”, usually a stew or roast, others do kettle corn, or dessert things, and of course the best seller, the root beer tent. If you’re looking for a more traditional, or replica food check out Townsend’s channel. He has hundreds of recipes from the 17-1800s.

@@Clayonthetrail thanks! I love townsends videos! I was wondering if he needed to have a specific setup to sell food.

I took my family over there Monday afternoon. It was definitely much bigger with much more people than I anticipated, but really neat. Had us some pulled pork, and lots of other goodies. Also picked me up an old fashion fire striker kit from one of the vendors to play with. I was on the look out for you, but never did see you or anyone on a horse up there that afternoon.

As soon as they start letting cars in Monday afternoon we get out. Modern flint and steel will spoil you, old school requires a char cloth, or similar, and will teach technique, which makes modern stuff a piece of cake. Sorry I missed you though, I was looking forward to visiting again.

Looks like a hell of an event. Wish I would have known about it.

Labor Day weekend every year. It used to be a drunken rowdy event years ago, now a family friendly look at the past.

Yep, just revisiting it. Would have been great to ride my bike up. Next year.

This was an awesome video man! I need to get over there this year I haven't been since I was a pup. Too bad about the Mountain Man footage. Maybe we will see some of that this year? Nice work
