Just catching up on these. This was an interesting pixel horror game. When I played through, I figured out you can use the sandwich to stall the rat. Makes getting around that so much easier.

From the mother's dialogue it seems like he's been dead and she's in denial

2. get the axe
3. destroy the clock
4. kill everything (including the eyes in mom's room)

I feel like the house is alive and maybe the clock could be the heart with the ticking being the heartbeat and how it is being filled with blood with each ending.
A little spoiler for the game the clock is actually a part of the game. If you break it then all time will freeze and I think you’ll be taken to another part of the house and it shows another ending. The real ending to be exact
Would make sense if its the clock the mc did write in her diary that the the day keeps looping

Explanation: When Tabby's father comes home to kill her, she was saving her family. But when her father came home to hug her, she killed her family. Turns out the father was proud of her for killing her family. He wanted her to become like him, a serial killer.
