No he didn't say it , I remember hearing him say this about semiconductor industry because it is very capital and resource intensive industry and not easy to setup. Look how US is struggling to bring chip manufacturing in their own country when they were the ones who invented it and still do most of the research in that industry but manufacturing is different than that.
Whereas India has never had a major role in semiconductor manufacturing but when it comes to designing chips we have come a long way since the past 2 decades, most major chip manufacturers and designers have offices here and we play a major role in chip design, the service part . So that's why it makes sense to do that , to focus more on design and software which has been our strength instead of trying manufacturing high quality semiconductors and trying to compete with TSMC and Samsung on this. We should play to our strengths

Every 6 months, he alters his position shortly after his previous one proves unsuccessful. During his tenure as RBI governor, his primary achievement was giving media interviews. His attention leaned more towards media appearances than actual tasks. May be he knows that he has better prospects in politics than in real economics. Contrastingly, Shaktikanta Das stands out as the most adept RBI Governor, successfully navigating crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

    • @exelrode

@@anilbhat91 Oh so you think he doesn't know any real economics? Yea I bet you wouldn't have said it if he would just suck up to BJP like other cronies do. Clearly you're a lowlife troll who can't make rational arguments so he tries to cast doubt on the qualification of such reputed scholars. Shaktikanta Das is a former IAS officer who didn't even study economics in his life, 1 first year student of economics would know more than him. And everyone knows how corrupt indian bureaucrats are , he must have been sucking up to politicians his entire career as IAS, that's why BJP picked him up to be governor of RBI

What Dr Rajan, and many other sensible economists, have been saying that India needs to leverage and apply its intellectual capital more effectively because that's where the money is.
For instance, the market cap of Apple Inc. is $2.8 trillion and that of Foxconn, Taiwan, is $70 billion even though the latter is the largest supplier of iPhones. In economics it is called the smile 🙂 that is, because the most profitable parts of a business cycle are at two ends of the chain, namely, design and brand marketing. Manufacturing has a far lower returns, mainly because of high competition and widely available technology (as opposed to proprietorial uniqueness in tech). Both design and marketing, in comparison, requires high-level of intellectual power - creativity, ingenuity, innovativeness - and thus the returns are often very high.
If one are where Indians have genuinely made their mark it is in application of brain power. Some of the smartest businesses are headed by smart Indians. It therefore makes sense to focus on furthering our innate talent by creating more and better educational institutions. It is obvious, a skilled manpower can turn in more profits. And earn better wages. It is not anybody's argument that we forsake manufacturing or agriculture but let us focus on where the returns are the highest.

During UPA govt average inflation was 10%. But now only 4.8%.
His favourites have always relied on imports and so they would have bought even untested covid vaccine at 4 times cost and earned kickbacks. There was no tested vaccines in the world would he say US UK china were not prepared where more people died.
World acknowledged indias success in dealing with COVID and also with economy.

In 2014, the Indian economy was valued at 2.4 trillion dollars. If you consider a growth to 3.7 trillion dollars today as a significant accomplishment, then it suggests a lack of understanding about the typical growth rate of economies. Historically, economies tend to double in size every 10 years, even under moderate to low-performing governments. Unfortunately, your revered supreme leader has not only failed to stimulate economic growth but has actually caused the economy to regress. Instead of reaching the 5 trillion dollar mark, we are currently stagnating at 3.7 trillion dollars. It's worth noting that the previous government, despite having limited power, managed to advance the economy forward.

What government can do without out any hardship, open new courts all across India, every court must work 24 hours and ensure law and order. It cost no financial burden to government. In fact every court brings additional income to the government through penalties, court fee stamps so on .

The appointment of the judiciary is not considered a part of reform. Is it the responsibility of the judiciary to appoint judges? How would you justify the 'Doctrine of Checks and Balances,' which is a crucial parameter for judging whether a country is democratic or not? If you want to bring reforms to the judiciary, the first step should be to introduce transparency in the appointment process.
As you mentioned, the NDA wants to control the appointment process, but I would ask you to look at the composition of the National Judicial Appointments Commission (NJAC). Additionally, merely opening new courts in India will not solve the problem, as existing courts are suffering from vacancies. There are more than 4 crore cases pending in higher courts. What is the Collegium really doing? If they were so efficient, then why do people have to travel to Delhi every time there is a case? Why are the lower courts so inefficient? When it was advised to establish four Supreme Court branches in East, West, North, and South, the Supreme Court rejected the advice, stating that it would undermine the reputation of the SC.

So how is it possible to develop innovation in India
. Another interesting thing is if any encourage many unscientific things like cow urine for COVID, many plant material anothe side very big publicity Govt only doing this kind job.

Monotheism (the doctrine or belief that there is only one God) is blamed as the instigator of ignorance, oppression, and violence. Monotheism has been a "totalizing discourse", often co-opting all aspects of a social belief system, resulting in the exclusion of "others". Monotheism is less pluralistic and thus less tolerant than polytheism, because monotheism stipulates that people pigeonhole their beliefs into one tenet. "Monotheism is irreconcilable with the existence in our nature of the instincts of benevolence" because it compels followers to devote themselves to a single Creator. The logic of monotheism ... yields little basis for tolerating other religions". Monotheism anesthetize the sense of wonder as if one were committed to a single line of thought by a cosmic legal contract".

Dear Raghu Ram Rajan, do you realize what damage you and your supporters would cause by not having a strong leadership for Bharat ? No doubt about your brilliance but, you need introspection if your intelligence is influenced by wrong forces ow you yourself wear wrong glasses not to appreciate the change in Bharat we saw through past decade and the world recognized … does your alternative leader Rahul has ability to serve even as a clerk in RBI ?
Do you realize what damage Dr Manmohan Singh’s rule caused - not because he was not brilliant but because he was in the influence of wicked corrupt forces … are you dreaming to be in power in the shadow of Rahul ?
    Wake up !
Even if media persons or voters think they are smart enough to find faults in Modi or his governance, they can’t afford to be foolish enough not to vote to re-elect or support Rahul and his folks …
Not having Modi government back to power will terribly ruin Bharat … this is not the time for complacency nor for allowing poisonous media smarties spread poison … all wise citizens must realize this very seriously and do something about it in their capacities…
Feel free to openly oppose and criticize complacency wherever you may spot … even among near and dear ones … the forces behind Rahul and his gang are very damaging for safety and survival of all law abiding common citizens in coming years …

People like Raghuram Rajan, have split loyalties and parachutes into India when election approaches . He is not trusted by the government and they ignore him, because it is believed to be working for a foreign government and is benefited by their patronage. So the only options he has is taking to Tamil Nadu government and go on some podcasts. For the last few years he has been preaching that India should move away from manufacturing to software, but he will not say this to Tamil Nadu State government because it's the leading manufacturing state in India.
He finds is so hard to accept that PM Modi has transformed India rapid lyfor the better and very soon it will be the third biggest economy in dollar nominal terms. His masters want India not to develop and he is speaking his masters voice. But fortunately most of the people know where he is coming from. Remember Japan was destroyed by the Plaza Accord forced on them by America in 1985 to appreciate the Yen against the Dollar and German Mark(Re: Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, Colombia University) and this led to the slow fall of the Japanese economy which did not grow for the next 30 years while the American economy grew by 1000% yes 1000%.He is not to be trusted.

This guy studied from IIT delhi , later did his MBA from IIM , and PhD from prestigious MIT but still during his tenure Indian banks were crumbling , NPA were soaring high, and there were some major scams due to improper Management . Mr. Shashikant is humble person did his graduation from Odissa and MA from DU that too not on Economics or Finance but in history, still he is one who take strict action on banks , he is one responsible for bring PSU Banks on Track, he forces financial Institution to comply with RBI rules and penalizes strictly when they failed to do it Executed Basel 3 norm which was cumbersome and pending for so long , more responsible towards his works. so, long story short it is not necessary that a more education will also bring you discipline and work ethics , become good in academics doesn't means good in execution too.

nonsense, he laid foundation for Das to do the cleanup. Rajan as the Governor was forcing the banks to give factual information of its asset book. During UPA 1&2 there was too may bad loans given out and the nature of those were all fraudulent and clandestine. For example if a borrower took loan from more than one bank, other banks did not know ta borrowers history. The borrower could default multiple times. To counter this, regulations were put in place so banks were aware of the previous loans by a borrower.

Economics is not like physics, it is highly subjective.
Physics like maths is objective. Either it's truth or false. Biology and chemistry also are almost completely objective subjects. Geography is objective.
History, social science, Arts are highly objective.
    Economics lies in between.
So while economist might have taken all the degrees and might know about definition of terms involved He might be ZERO at understanding common sense.
This subjectivity has led to Romila thapars and Irfan Habibs to manipulate history, Wokes to manipulate Social sciences and Gulzars to islamise bollywood in garb of art.
