This American PC 'documentary' is what's contributing to the 'tectonic' shift that wasn't even unpredictable to begin with. The same woke BS that contributed to Trump's victory in 2016. Maybe fix what's going on in the US first instead of pushing your narrative about Sweden's 'rise of the right'.. again with your labels.
Your documentary is 2021, but you're putting up stats between 2017 to 2018 that shows low increase in crime - why, to fit your narrative that crime increase wasn't that high and the right wingers are alarmists?
Of course you pick a model immigrant that says he doesn't want welfare and speaks more Swedish (good for him and he deserves a good fresh start in Sweden).
But many official reports point to immigrant strain on their welfare system because many immigrants, especially the women actually chose to not enter the workforce.
Maybe learn from DW documentaries - they are reporting what's really happening. Neither PC story telling nor BS conservative talking-points that Americans are so fond of doing.

Saudi doesn't really give 'dignity' to it's immigrants. It's notorious for it's poor treatment of migrant workers particularly from third world countries. Saudi is not comparable to Italy; the latter actually has a conception of human rights and is leagues better in that regard.
But I agree with the duties bit. Any refugees and immigrants must be taught their responsibilities as part of integration programs. Focus needs to be on how they intend to contribute to the society that took them in, fed them, housed them, gave their children free education and so on.

Which requires a nation wide consensus that they may not able to achieve ever. All the while their still relatively small but very vocal muslim minority continues to grow, which coupled with low birth rates of the natives will be increasingly difficult to achieve.
To rectify the situation Swedes need to act now. Quickly, resolutely and decisively. But it doesn't look like Swedes of today even have the balls to openly admit the root cause of the problem. I also own a small Indian restaurant on the side wise,I'm grateful for the opportunity to live in a country that is so nice with magnificent culture and people.I would also like to add that I am a law-abiding citizen who pays my taxes regularly. I'm from India and have been living in Europe since 5 years. I've been staying in Sweden sinec 2 years and I've witnessed a lot of issues with immigrants not adapting to the local culture. Sweden has one of the most beautiful cultures in Europe. Most of Swedish holidays are related to nature. This attracted me to move here and probably settle down here. I'm really happy to be working here and paying my taxes. But to know that my taxes are going to people who are creating chaos really concerns me. I hope the government can solve this mess and restore the Swedish culture. Jag älskar Sverige och jag är glad över att vara en del av kulturen.

Those attributes make Sweden (Denmark too) the absolute worst places to send people who are brought up to despise such values.
It never, ever was going to or could work, the mentalities are so different it was plainly obvious (well, should have been) the Muslims arriving would not ask for meatballs and ABBA music, they would DEMAND mosques and that the Swedes adapted to their values, rather than the opposite.
It is such a pity - if not criminal - how naive or sadly calculating the Swedish MPs have been. The Swedish culture has been destroyed. I cannot believe Swedes in authority positions are that naive so yes, it must have been a deliberate decision to do this to Swedish culture.

@@AvazBahromovSort of yes, not muslims specifically but immigrants. That's not shocking though as that's how we sustain our economy as everyone who lives here obviously takes their education seriously and get high paying jobs. Currently the richest is the native populous or people like me, a 3rd generation immigrant. As we've already climbed that ladder. In my opinion that's a pretty great societal structure. My grandpa was a first generation immigrant and he worked as a buss driver. You come here and give your children an opportunity for a good future. However if you don't raise your child properly nor adhere to the culture of Swedish people you'll have a world of issues as it's almost like you're living in a tiny bubble of the country you came from. You're split from society in a way. In Sweden there are so many people who are segregated so they form their own communities and that's also where our gangs come from. 85% of gang-criminals are born outside of Sweden or have one immigrant parent, and it's not shocking when a lot of the immigrants coming here don't take the country seriously and see it more as a cash cow. Of course this is not really the norm, it's a large minority however which sucks. Another thing is immigrants from outside of Europe may have it harder, I'm Greek personally and we have a more similar culture due to being European ourselves. Summarized shortly, some people come here and ruin stuff since they can't nor want to adapt. If you come here don't expect to become a millionaire. Raise your child to be one instead.

Because a lot of countries that are majority Muslim have been dealing with war in recent times and that influences the culture. At one point Christians were the ones waging wars over ridiculous sectarian disagreements and greed. Almost all religions seem to have violent aspects (read the Bible, Torah, Quran, basically any major religious script.. all reference extremely violent events sometimes in a positive light), but it changes with time which cultures/religions, etc. experience and even perpetrate violence. It's not overly complicated. Doesn't mean that it should be excused and politicians do need to be smarter about immigration laws.

I am an ex muslim in a muslim country, my life is in danger but I have never thought to flee my country to go to another cultured country as some of my friends did to live a better life, I live as a non muslim for 5 years and I would still literally die for my county and my people eventhough they wouldn't care about me. And if went to another country and became a citizen I would probably do the same, I get conected to the land abd the origin. It all comes to my pride and love of my country that I belong to.
I think people can move to Europe to study, work or live with their spouse if he or she is from there, living as a stranger would be hard u less you move to a melting pot like the US, Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia even the UAE) These countries were either completely built by immegrabts and refugeese or half built by them. Personally, I never believed that people would completely fit in Europe or anywhere where the indeginous people are the majority. Because a lot of people are obsessed with race and skin colour these days. I am not talking about white people only as the media portrayed. I am not white but I am fair.
So as I said, they can visit but never would feel at hime if they choose ti live there with the indeginous because it takes some few bad examples to make the anti immigration to fight and hate all the immigrants. there wether they came a week ago or a decade ago or more.
In my country, we have European people live and work and even retire here and I can see that they live very peacefully even it's a muslim country. They live very happily and never heard someone from them complain about racism and that's great. Maybe it's in the people
But I speak for myself, even I am very aware and I know what to do and wgat to don't, and ready to adapt, I can't go and try to fit in other countires as a guy who can't handle racism abd desrespect .. I got offered a job in Germany but I didn't go because I just don't want Germans to treat me bad and in my head Germans are nice and smart people (I don't see the past, I am talking about the present) so I choose to not to move to Germany to keep that good image in my head about them. I have even started to learn the language but I stopped and just decied to stay here. I want that immage I have for Germans and Europeans to stay clean because people there can be tired of some of immigrants craziness and problems in their countries, so their racism and xenophobia against me would be justified which is wrong but sadly tgat would be the reality I hate to experience as a good immegrant.
This is my bold deep opinion, and as I said, even my life is in danger and even my own people can be dangerous and hateful towards me, I choose to stick to my country and find a way to live and grow here. And to be totally honest, some refugeese have started to move here recently and I don't like some of their behaviours too and I am fully aware that things could become much worse and I am ready to stop the bad guys for the sake of my country. So yeah I understand this and I have always understood the culture shock thing and that people usually don't easily get along even with their familes and close ones or same ethnicity and nationality let along with strangers who came with new cultures, religions and thoughts. And you never know ! Those people could come and shake or effect your country/pride.

I was interested in this country and I had the impression that for many decades the Swedish authorities, especially those from the social democratic party, have been performing a kind of social engineering towards their nation in order to transform it into some kind of utopian society.
I have a similar impression now in connection with the mass influx of immigrants to Sweden. It has such a horrendous scale that I find it hard to believe that the authorities that allowed it to happen are not aware of the consequences it will entail. So I am convinced that this is a continuation of this experiment in which Swedish society is to become some new kind of society, some mixture of many races and cultures, whether the Swedish people themselves want it or not.

It went from being one of the safest places in the world as homogenous society until the 70s from one of the highest numbers rape per capita in the world as a "multicultural" society - most the rapes are against swedish women by non swedish men, social housing and welfare is dominated by non-swedes, as are the 'no go zones'.
