This is how things should be, but when you take immigrants only for the sake of looking virtuous, it's just a "bring in and forget". Activists and politicians always forget that these people need housing, food, jobs, a decent life. When they do remember it is when they go there to provide them with a fish for a day for likes and votes.

they do make the effort, when the state guide them. There's a big difference in the Netherlands between the morrocan guetos (product of bad immigration management decades ago) and the more recent syrian refugees, much better integrated . The difference is that the later were provided tools like language learning, professional education and well distributed housing. The Moroccans didn't have that, so generations of them are growing in guettos that feel alienated from the rest of the poblation
The problem is never immigration itself, but how it's managed. Sweden made the same mistake the Dutch made decades ago with the Moroccans.

Exactly. The segregation is extremely dangerous. Fortunately, I think this is going in the right direction, following the decrease of immigration it will probably become more diluted in the long run due to simple diffusion. This is especially the case if we work actively against segregation, which is not impossible
The problem is that the toxic immigrant subculture can suck up new working immigrants, or harshen the policies so much they dampen this important immigration. This working-class immigration is extremely important due to the failing fertility rates

"normal" murders usually gets solved. The ones were someone kills his ex girlfriend, beats someone he knows to death etc etc. Those kinds of murders are in decline as well.
But gang murders carried out in immigrant areas will usually not have anyone who want to testify (which is reasonable, they can end up dead), and no one involved in the conflict will talk to the police. The DA can't negotiate with criminals regarding punishment either, so the state can't offer any insscentive to rat.
Swedish institutions were built to handle an extremely homogen nation state with strong cultural checks on behaviour. They were not built to handle american style multi culturalism with visble racial minorities that gets segregated and adopt different value systems from the rest of society.

This can include learning their language, appreciating and observing their culture, being able to mix with the people of that country, respecting their laws and most importantly proving oneself useful to the country (like doing a good job that country can appreciate).
If you cannot respect the country which welcomes you with open arms and gives you citizenship or PR, then you should not be their in the first place and chose your own home country or the 200 other countries available on Earth, if doing simple things like this is so hard for you.

Here in Italy we have been dealing with the Mafia from time immemorial, and they too like to use minors to commit crimes and homicides. But let me tell you that longer sentences did not help in stopping or limiting organized crime. Gangs and such don't send minors to commit crimes just because they get shorter sentences, but also because it's a form of initiation in the gang and to not get senior members directly involved. What the Swedish government should do is focus on fighting the gangs as organizations rather than focusing on their individual members, like being arrestable simply for being linked to organized crime even if there isn't any direct link to some concrete crime, or protecting and rewarding gang members that turn against their own gang in favor of the law.
The last exemple helped us Italians in weakening and even destroying some mafia groups, and even if the Mafia problem today is far from solved and some groups are still powerful, organized crime as a whole is less violent than the past.
This is only one side of an issue that obviously requires and multilateral approach, but on regards of legal rulings and law I believe that these options would be better to fight sweeds criminal gangs.

Sweden democrats are the ones who are being wrongfully accused of being far right. 90% of their proposed policies have been enacted by either Finland or Denmark. If you want to call Sweden democrats Far right you must call Denmark and Finland Far right countries too.

I don't know, I'm not so sure that Italy has been so successful in fighting the Mafia, it could be, on the contrary, that there are implicit agreements whereby if the Mafia avoids showing too much violence then the law is willing to close a watch out, or the mafia has changed its modus operandi to be less attackable, this would also explain why the 'Ndrangheta is the most powerful organisation, precisely because it avoids the type of violent crime that instead characterizes the Camorra or Cosa Nostra.

The migrants who have been socialized differently and often violently in their home country go to Europe and bring with them their mental baggage. Because of the big bad word “racism” it is unacceptable to criticize them and the blame of high crime rates between migrants is way too often shifted onto the welcoming host society. But integration is mostly the responsibility of migrants, if you don’t even put in the effort to properly learn the host-country’s language, how can you ever advance and become a functioning member of society? Also, migrants and refugees seem to move to Europe and expect to see gold bars raining from the sky, as soon as they realize that you (obviously) cannot expect an easy and carefree life as a poor immigrant in a culturally very different country they too often turn to crime. How is it the host society’s responsibility that migrants are poorer than the average citizen? If I moved to Japan right now without learning japanese and unable to find a proper job, how is this Japan’s fault? It’s my fault for having too high expectations and putting in too little effort
Like, how can you migrate to a much more wealthy country without qualifications, no social circle, no knowledge of their language and no ambition and expect not to be poor?

Well, it only matters to the host country insofar as what the consequences are if they don't.
Personally, I prefer my crime rates not to go up, and for less of my city to house slums. So I'm all for putting resources in front of migrant communities to ensure they integrate and learn the language. City planning to ensure that they integrate with the local community rather than clump up in isolated communes. Maybe even have tiered systems where learning the language is incentivized by the system? Incorperate it in to whatever system that's aimed at impoverished areas in the first place while you're at it.
Because its like adopting a kid or a pet. Maybe it was a good idea to adopt, maybe it wasn't (and many people will have strong opinions here). But now that you've taken them in, you actually need to potty train them if you don't wan't piss and shit all over your nice carpets, and that is a much more immediate problem to solve.

The reason this is considered 'racist' is that immigrants don't commit more crimes than natives. Instead, they are more likely to be poor and poor people do more crime.
The problem is keeping immigrants in poverty, not where they are from or their mental baggage (if mental baggage was really such a big problem, Europe would not have been so peaceful after the trauma of WW2)

Like you say, one of the main talking points is how there is poor or no integration for those who come to Sweden from the middle east and Africa. The largest båt that the right are beating the left with is that while the left argue that more welfare is needed to help these people, the right point out that it IS exactly because of unquestionable and generous welfare that these people don't have any pressure to truly become Swedish citizens. They don't need jobs, don't need to learn swedish, don't have swedish associates and do not become Swedish.
It was also a very poorly thought out and shortsighted move from when the left were in power how to house these new arrivals. Massive housing building projects were created and finished. Then these areas were almost entirely filled with foreign families, creating massive communities with only foreign families and then promptly abandoned by the state to be cared for by the local government who now had to try and organize all the teaching, all the welfare, all the unemployment, and all the upkeep of these areas.
The entire system, top to bottom, is currently a run don't shit show that is in desperate need of a complete and total overhaul if it can be saved at all.

I'm Australian and had a debate with a Swede online about immigration and integration a few weeks ago. The Swede was making a dumb claim that Australia hates immigrants and shuns immigration and that we need to be more like Sweden. The fact is that Australia is 30% immigrant while Sweden is only 20% immigrant. Australia is far more diverse and multicultural than Sweden, how do we hate immigrants so much when we receive much more immigrants and are much more positive towards immigration?
The difference is that Australia takes in people that we need: Highly educated young and skilled people and their families, Sweden seems hellbent on taking in any random that shows up and a lot of them are uneducated men from war ravaged countries. Australia has adequate infrastructure and resources to handle and welcome new immigrants while Sweden lets them in and dumps them in ghettoes where they remain unemployed and form gangs. You only need to look at Afghans in both countries. Afghans in Australia are incredibly hard working, they run small businesses, are assets to their local communities and stay out of trouble. In contrast I've only heard bad things about Afghans in Sweden. This is why immigrants flourish and integrate very well in Australia while Sweden struggles to integrate new arrivals.
If anything Sweden needs to be more like Australia but Swedes are too naive and set in their own ways to listen to anyone not Swedish.

They truely believe they are morally superior to other people and that Sweden is some kind of humanitarian superpower. In my opinion the Swedes actually deserve the misery they are creating for themselves. Theres a bit of karma to it as well. They are like dodos and are too naive or stupid for long term survival. People who become criminals due to economic reasons usually steal something from the nearest supermarket or a handbag or something, they don't become murderers. To murder someone you have to have a certain mindset and I can tell you that killing people isn't a rare occurrence in Africa and the Middle East. If gun violence specifically is the main problem, you don't need to look any further into this. I'm gonna be a bit bold now and predict that gun violence will decrease significantly after Sweden deported most of their "cultural enrichments". Oh, and about the rapings... I think everyone knows what's up with that as well.

Incredible that the other EU countries look at the calamity of non-EU immigration into Sweden and thinks “we’ll have some of that”. In some societies rich and poor alike basically know how to behave and crime is low. In some societies poverty befalls a feral minority and often these are the people responsible for a huge proportion of violent crime. Unfortunately these are the very people who often flee their country to start a new life in an unsuspecting and naive foreign country that is ill equipped to deal with their behaviour.

I am from Australia and have lived in Sweden nearly 20 years. I think one major reason Australia has been far more successful than Sweden in integrating immigrants is because of the inflow mix. The inflow of migrants to Australia is fairly mixed but with a heavy bias towards South and East Asia whereas for Sweden nearly all come from the Middle East and North Africa. Also - Australia has stricter entry requirements and attracts many foreign students who stay as well as highly skilled workers who also stay when their 1 year expat employment contract ends. Then of course is the large amount who come from other English speaking countries. And finally, Australia has a history and culture of being an immigrant country.

    • @Alejojojo6
      @Alejojojo6 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

Exactly. Also an English speaking country, which makes things easier. English is known by almost anyone specially many migrants learn it. It's easier to learn and thus to adapt to the country you moved to than Swedish which is more complex and less appealing for many. Australia has also way less porosity in it's borders being an Island so they cannot have a horde of refugees (like was the case in Syria) to come to your country that easily. Another key factor is Islam. It's much easier to assimilate non-islamic people in Sweden and Australia than islamic ones, which makes Australia with mainly Asian or Hindu migrant populations much easier to be assimilated and made part of Australian society and also the idea that "Australian" isnt an etnic-group thing but a nationality. While Sweden is a nation-ethnic state with most of it's migrants being muslims.

According to the French right 90% of Muslims assimilated , by contrast the Christian minority in the Mideast don’t assimilate and openly oppose assimilation and are extremely racist towards non Christian’s and France is supporting their efforts not to assimilate in the name of “ France secular obligation to support Christians to preserve their culture” in the Mideast especially towards the Maronite Christians who are politically and financially associated by France , for example in Lebanon many of the previously Muslim majority cities welcomed Maronite Christian immigrants from the north but once the Maronite became the majority in this cities they banned renting or selling properties to non Christians in the name of the preservation of Christian culture , in short immigrants & minority’s are a challenge everywhere , and the issue of minorities must be discussed in the larger framework , what’s their rights and obligations , for example in the 80s the Maronite Church was the only and first religious institution in the Mideast to be involved in establishing a terror organization the UN accused them of committing genocide , it was downplayed by leaders in the Mideast in the name of unity between Christian’s and Muslims although the victims were mostly Muslims children and women in few days more Muslim civilians were killed by a terror organization made up of Christian monks then the entire terror attacks in Europe ( wither it was from the right left or Muslims wanting to change western policies ) .
