These airlines are learning something United States airlines learned a long time ago; the frequent flyer program can be and is a huge cash cow; Delta (and United and American) have leveraged this for revenue generation.
It is more difficult to popularize loyalty programms in europe and aisian than it is in the US, due to different regulations on credit cards, (even populatity of credit cards), and culture
I fly KLM every year (MSP-AMS) and those price hikes are making it very difficult to sustain. I'd opt for Air France to CDG if that airport wasn't on par with a medieval torture chamber! I like FlyBlue and I have amassed good status and miles, so it will be a difficult divorce.
I think that AF is a far better partner for social co.dition of the employees compared to LH. And for the pax, FlyingBlue is far better than Miles and More. Look at Sabena. It is just a copy of LH (same with Swiss). KLM can keep its dutch soul and habits. I think that pair is the best in tha airlune industry.
As a frenchman, I took my last AF flight 20 years ago, and i'm a frequent flyer having travelled to more than 55 countries. Flew on KLM once on my way back from Kuwait some time ago. Both airlines are despicable, and the Parisian AF lounges a laughingstock.

41% is a huge increase.
Schiphol probably won’t be able to increase the fees with 41% again because the regulators deem the increase unreasonable.
Very interesting, good job 👍 (hope that there will be more video about Air France!)
That airport keeps raising its fees and people will just fly to different countries. Keep it up government, you'll screw yourself.
Very succesful. No mention of KLM City Hopper, I think they contributed too.
No mention of Hop neither, but all figures from these airlines are diluted in the mainlines figures …

Ca me semble quand même un peu exagéré son analyse, mais bon..
oh yeah
I used to work for KLM for 20 years.Pity they didn,t choose Lufthansa instead of Air France as a partner.
AF is the better partner.
Naaaah
@@SnurX At the time they had to make a decision yes, nowadays I'm not sure.

The airports are a company on his own. Has nothing to do with the airliner, just a home base!
But you are right, Orly and CDG are horrible!
Have a feeling it will disconnect soon
Why?
@@arienoordzij3823bad rep.they will split soon
