As someone who is about to start my gas safe course this video is very helpful to get some understanding and perspective about how to repair and overcome problems with domestic properties
Your a very good engineer should be proud I’m a qualified engineer a year In December and I’m definitely still learning I really appreciate your videos thanks
Nice work. I, too, work as a maintenance engineer, and it's great to see other engineers take such pride in their work. With the baxi filter, you can take them out and clean them from my experience, and also, with the synchro motor, you can just replace the motor, and it can save a lot of time. Great video, though.
On the vaillant if you reset the boiler you can press the top right to get the digital pressure gauge up and the pressure changes when the pump kicks in unless pump is stuck or the low pressure switch is blocked
Damn I wish I had seen your vid on the hive before , I had to do my first one on an s plan plus in a 10 way box, never done hives or had much experience wiring took me hours 🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾
Quality video! Could do with abit longer per job. Used to love heating geek videos which are focused on repairs and other jobs which are different to others on TH-cam. Keep them coming mate!
I've just done my ACS. On the training for track pipe, they said if you solder with the track pipe connected, the flux vapour can corrode the inside of the track pipe. Not sure if that's what happened here but maybe
I dont know what it is with the ecotec range but the last 5 ive worked on all had same issues…. Exp vessel, prv, diverter and pressure sensor always go on them
@@advancedboilertraining any from the TIS range, sure toolstation does them. Your pen proved voltage, not how much and it can't confirm your neutral. Better with voltage testers that show voltage, ac and dc and allows you to confirm a whole circuit via live to neutral
love the uploads, just one bit of advice, don't use that deathdriver to test for power.....as the only part stopping severe voltage shooting in you is the resistor, and they can fail. keep up the good work tho.
That landlord with the flats should be prosecuted as he has used a non gas safe registered engineer not surprised as the majority of landlords just want work done on the cheap

Thank you! Yeah I’m still learning everyday as well. The nice thing about this job is you will never stop learning

Yeah I’ve managed to take the filter out in the past but this one was like it was super glued it. It was much quicker/easier to change the whole valve
Impressed pal, keep these coming 👍🏻
Thanks Shaun! I’m really grateful for all your comments 👊
can you please do a video on gas safety inspection what you need to do on the day with an assessor
Great video, shows how varied the job can be. Thanks for the mid position tip on that vailant, that's why I've struggled in past with that motor! 👍
Thanks for the comment! Yeah mid position makes life so much easier 😂
That track pipe probably got splashed by flux on a part where the yellow sleeve had a nick in it
As always phenomenal! Great work indeed.
Thank you Robert!!👊
Great video as usual
With the baxi return valve I have just cleaned the filter on many occasions and it does the job👍👍
I’m really enjoying your videos keep them coming.
Thanks Neil! Will do💪

Great video tanx for the upload 👍
Thanks for the comment!💪
Brilliant vid. Cheers mate...
Thank you!💪
Great stuff, love the video 👍🏻

Thanks for the comment!👍

Oh no🤣 wiring centers can be such a pain! So fiddly

Thanks for the Feedback Brendan, going forward I’ll try make each job longer 👍
Amazing collection from you
Would like to ask about baxi return isolation valve what u changed. To do that do I need to drain whole system?
Yeah you need to drain the whole system 👍
yes bro how long have you been a gas engineer and where did you do your acs
I've just done my ACS. On the training for track pipe, they said if you solder with the track pipe connected, the flux vapour can corrode the inside of the track pipe. Not sure if that's what happened here but maybe
Maybe!! Didn’t even think of that. It doesn’t help that I done the same thing😅 thanks for that Craig 👍
It's the same as flux on the annaconda
Quality videos bro 😎
Glad you like them!
Top class 🎉
Thanks Paul 💪💪
top draw fairplay to you love it
Excellent content 👌
Thanks Lee👍
On diverter valves, I always change them as they tend to leak again and that would save me from a recall. Not that expensive part
Yeah the cartridges aren’t worth the headache sometimes. Always depends on if you get good quality ones or cheap ones
Worcester juniors are a pain
@@advancedboilertraining Also make sure that your Not 180 degrees out !......I did that Once !!😅
Really good content pal. Some useful stuff. I’d upload some of mine but you’d hear my crying all day😂
🤣 it gets like that sometimes!
I just start recording after I’ve finished all my crying😂
@@advancedboilertraining 😂😂we’re all the same pal 😂😂
When you work on a boiler, do you always have to analyse poc after any work carried out ?
Yeah always need to do your 26.9 checks
Where did you buy the cartridge tool from for the diverter valve ?
what tipe oo liquid do you use to clean the heating exchenger? Thanks in advance.
Just water and a brush 👍
Where did you get your special tool to remove the Vaillant D/V cartridge?
just eBay mate 👍
I dont know what it is with the ecotec range but the last 5 ive worked on all had same issues…. Exp vessel, prv, diverter and pressure sensor always go on them
Built-in obsolescence !! 😂🤣
New to the channel nice video
Thanks Josh💪
Sure you can try recharge expansion vessel first? B4 fitting a new one?? 😢
Fantastic jobs ,well done sir
Tracpipe not been done properly should cover up the joints with their tape if i remember correctly
on the valve actuator motor why didn't you just change that?
was this really one day . how do you deal with over runs and what hours are you putting in? love your content
Where can I buy that tool please
If you go on to eBay and type in: “vaillant cartridge removal tool”, you should be able to find it
Spirit of salt is that in any shop
Yeah any plumbing shop. Just need ID
Shocking that 15 on to 22 like that 😂 can’t believe people have left it like thst
Tell me about it🙄
Class videos, but stay away from that pen tester with the light in it, spend a tenner on voltage testers
Thanks! Any good ones you would recommend?
@@advancedboilertraining any from the TIS range, sure toolstation does them.
Your pen proved voltage, not how much and it can't confirm your neutral.
Better with voltage testers that show voltage, ac and dc and allows you to confirm a whole circuit via live to neutral
Track pipe will be flux dripped into pipe from my experience
Yeah that makes sense
love the uploads, just one bit of advice, don't use that deathdriver to test for power.....as the only part stopping severe voltage shooting in you is the resistor, and they can fail. keep up the good work tho.
There ok actually it's like saying if ur hand slips when using a fluke meter
Got that tool lol
Cadent would have just discked the meter

That awful wiring at 20 mins!
😂
Good job 👌👌👍
Thank you Jock!🫡👍
