This song was such a bop and I didn't realise until now it was Caroline Polachek
Same, and I've been listening to Caroline Polachek a lot after what I thought was discovering her work. When she did the nano commercial song! Things like this make me think Superman's disguises only being glasses isn't as dumb as it looks. You don't always recognize people when you don't expect them because of one little different detail, like a name.

I've listened to this many times over the past 3-4 years but only just now have I listened to it through a nice pair of enclosed headphones.
One standout thing that sounds just incredible about Bruises (over headphones) is that incredibly awesome bass line featured throughout the entire song.
Love it. Chairlift is so underrated. What a pity.

I think this girl is super talented. I think she sings a little like yael nain on this song. But she re-invents herself on every song, really amazing. I hope this band goes far. Very creative and interesting.

I discovered this band in 2013, but in 2015, represented my first year in the university, this song, was in my phone in my third year of my career.

Hundred times I have heard this mystic song. Slowly I realized some treasuries: she sings like a true girl telling lovely things to her boyfriend. The intonation makes me shiver, the boy's voice too. Great tune! Brings back the new wave moods. The synthesizer in the background reminds me the early O.M.D songs, for example the "Almost". But the whole song is a modern, fantastic good one :-) Thanks :-))))

I must say that Chairlift is very underrated by myself. I have never paid much attention to them, but until recently due to Caroline Polachek's fame I have given them a chance and the few singles I've checked are songs that I ve heard several times but that I didn't know it was them, songs that are part of my ecosystem but that I have confused with other many indie artists. You know, the typical ''Oh, I didn't know this song was by them, Oh, I didn't know this other was theirs also''.
It had been a curious yet comforting experience.

The synthesizer creates a nostalgic sound, the song has a bittersweet almost sad sound, but the girl is so magnetically attractive. A lot of feelings happen when I listen to this song. The video also evokes a nostalgic and depressing atmosphere, but the girl is so hot.
