I need to find a wife like you they look amazing my grandmother used to bake every weekend we would go to hers and she had baked all sorts life was so different back in the 70s and 80s your food looks absolutely stunning
I am getting in a canoe, and paddling to yours for tea...From Michigan! We don't get Mr. Kiplings, and no one makes Viennese Whirls here, nor Victoria Sponge. They are my favorites and now I can make some for myself. Thank you SO much!!!
Gosh this brought back childhood memories for me Cheryl, I used to help my Mum make these every week, along with a batch of rock buns & fairy cakes, when you come from a family of six children & a Dad with a sweet tooth, they were soon demolished with gusto!😁 Yours are much more professional & beautifully presented 👌 than ours which we just baked like wee biscuits & got ‘arty’ with the prongs of a fork!🤭 Thanks for sharing 🙏, bringing back some happy memories of times gone bye. Hope your having a good week, take care. xx 👩🏻🍳🧁😋💕💞🩷
~WOW, Cheryl! These are really lovely. Yes, it's a few steps, but very easy! ... When baking/cooking, I think sometimes people mistake time consuming (or more than 3-4 steps, lol) with difficulty. I think these could be easily made festive 🎄by drizzling a tiny bit of simple glaze (glue for the sprinkles) - then use red & green sprinkles 😊 (silver and gold would be pretty too)
Oh yummy, Viennese whirls are an absolute favourite and they must be even yummier made yourself. I can't swear mine will turn out as pristine as yours Cheryl but I'm definitely going to give these a go! 👍
Oh, I love Mr. Kipling Viennese Whirls! I order them through Amazon as they aren’t available in most stores here in the USA. I’m very glad to have a recipe to make them. I really like the silicon baking mat with the circle guide on it! Your cookies look delicious. I can demolish a box of them pretty quickly so I wouldn’t expect these to last very long! 😂
I have always wanted to try these but have been very intimidated by the fancy shape even though I pipe frosting for cup cakes for some reason piping a cookie seems much harder! These look incredible I will definitely give them a go now! Be well, thank you! 😻
Oh wow these look absolutely amazing!! I looooove Viennese Whirls!! I may well give these a try, I will try to remember to come back and let you know how they turn out. I would appreciate it so much if you could please share where you bought the baking mat from? Thanks Xx
Hi Cheryl, sorry I just have another question please, do you think it would matter if I used the same type of piping tip for both the biscuit and the buttercream filling? I don’t do very much baking at all, I do have one tip, but it’s just the 11mm star nozzle. Thank you x
Mr kipling better watch out, Cheryl's about !! 😅 they look fantastic & not difficult, well you made them look easy. I will definitely have a bash at these , I've not git a sweet tooth but I do like these, but not had them for ages. Have got all ingredients, probably will just need a big nozzle for my piping bag tho but I can pick 1 up when I go shopping. Don't think mine will be as neat as yours tho , bit hopefully taste just as good. For tea tonight or tomorrow I'm making your Greg's chicken bake, excited to give that 1 a go. Will let you know how ot turns out. Great video Cheryl as always
Way back when we used to go to Grandma’s vacation cabin in the mountains, the nearby village had a grocery store with a bakery attached. They had something very similar, but oblong shaped (think hot dog bun sized, but a flat sandwich) The bakery called them “Swedish Pancakes”. I’ve never seen its like (or name!) since.
Amazing, Cheryl! I may consider making these for my grandchildren's Halloween treats. Someone earlier mentioned fairy cakes. We do not have fairy cakes here in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Would you consider making those in a video? It would be good for The Grands!
I measured all the ingredients with a scale in grams and the dough was quite thick and was not as silky as the dough on the video. I added a couple of spoons of water to have the dough easier to pipe. What could I have done wrong?
How many idiots think margarine is butter - they use margarine because it’s cheaper - don’t think margarine will work as well! Look a bit like a Devon or Cornish cream tea, but with biscuits instead of scones - the difference between the Devon and Cornish versions is the order in which you put the jam and cream on!
the word "whirl" sounds fantastic in your Scottish accent ❤❤
Whirlllll 🥰
Same with film and ..murder lol 🤙💡
Looks delicious 😋 Greetings from England 😄 Have a great day everyone 🌻
I need to find a wife like you they look amazing my grandmother used to bake every weekend we would go to hers and she had baked all sorts life was so different back in the 70s and 80s your food looks absolutely stunning
Nailed in 8 mins, and not a word wasted, straight to the chase, with tips, and motivation . And of course,, as folk have noted..very mellifluous . 💫

These look amazing I’m definitely going to make some
I bet these are absolutely scrumptious. And it's good to know this could be a make ahead treat even if they really won't last that long.
Oh yummy, Viennese whirls are an absolute favourite and they must be even yummier made yourself. I can't swear mine will turn out as pristine as yours Cheryl but I'm definitely going to give these a go! 👍
Easier than you'd think! Just make sure the mixture is loose enough to come out of the bag...and everything else will be plain sailing 🙂👍

Delicious.
These look wonderful....you really are a super baker!!
Thank you so much...but these really were very easy ☺ so long as you get the consistency correct and can get it out of the bag! 😆
These look lovely. Will try them soon. I thought of you as I was visiting Scotland last week!
Aw! Hope you had a wonderful time! ❤
@@WhatsForTea I did. A few days in Edinburgh and family gathering at the clan seat castle.
Can make them with a gorgeous lemon curd filling too 🍋
@@sapphire22011 That sounds equally delicious, as does lime curd.

Will definitely be trying these, they look exactly like the shop bought ones but bet they taste better.
Oh they taste amazing 🤩 just as you'd expect with the very fine almost powdery texture...delicious! 😋
I have always wanted to try these but have been very intimidated by the fancy shape even though I pipe frosting for cup cakes for some reason piping a cookie seems much harder! These look incredible I will definitely give them a go now! Be well, thank you! 😻

Look for kanelbullar or lussekatter, and see if either of those look like what you remember 🙂
Looks very tasty
Delicious would love to try but dont think I am capable of making them look as good as yours.
Your recipe is almost as delicious as your lovel accent thanks for sharing 😊
I use salted butter
Amazing, Cheryl! I may consider making these for my grandchildren's Halloween treats.
Someone earlier mentioned fairy cakes. We do not have fairy cakes here in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Would you consider making those in a video? It would be good for The Grands!
Look delicious , just one thing , did the video skip ? As I didn't see the oven time or temp 😮
180 or gas 4 for 13 mins 😊
I measured all the ingredients with a scale in grams and the dough was quite thick and was not as silky as the dough on the video. I added a couple of spoons of water to have the dough easier to pipe. What could I have done wrong?
could they be frozen?

yunny aunty cheryl can you please deliver xx
😆👍🚛
Made it 1k likes it was annoying on 999
The mixture is too thick and won’t pipe out of the piping bag! Me thinks next time I will be adding a little milk to the mixture so I can pipe it!
Hi Cheryl, how are ? Can you post 📫 me me a few? I will pay you
