  • The Triumph Street Triple was the king of the naked bike category in years past. But as other manufactures wanted a slice of the segment, Triumph started to fall short. Triumph has fought back with a new Street Triple 765 line to take on the competition. We sent Bradley Adams to test out the new Street Triple 765 to see if it can take back the throne of the naked bike category.

    The 765 R is a deal and probably fine on the street. Full quick shifter, decent brakes and suspension, full intertial ABS...I have an 2019 Triumph ST RS, but I never take it to the track. It's incredibly easy to ride, very smooth, and handles great. A gentleman's bike that handles great and is very fast.

    The middle weight naked bike class is on 🔥! Between the Street Triple R, Mt09,, 890, and Z900 you can’t lose. A lot bang for your Buck. Bikers rejoice!

      I love the Z900 but anyone buying a new in 2024 is getting scammed. They are so far behind in weight, materials, electronics etc and I really hope they do something in 2025…

    The bi-directional quickshifter has been on the R since 2020. incidentally the RS has won every middleweight shoot out involving the KTM890R, MT-09SP and Monster SP in all the major UK bike magazines including Bike and the worlds no 1 motorcycle publication MCN.

    9:07 yeah the tach display sucks on this bike BUT in the visual trays you can add a numerical tach which just shows you the number of rpm and is actually really nice to read

    Always liked the triples. After all, I still have my '75 T160 (in pieces) but.......I worry about the warranty and maintenance costs.
    Followed a couple channels in the UK. They kinda got screwed on the 600 mile service and warranty problems (Triumph's).
    Me?
    I'm a tall guy....I'd have the Speed Triple

    I love the 765 RS, the big issue not sticker shock but the maintenance schedule. I love riding although I am mechanically inclined, and own a large selection of tools, I don't like doing anything much past basic maintenance.
    This is a bike for people who, after the warranty is up, like wrenching or spending money at the dealership for valve adjustment and so on.

    I think it's fair to say that Triumph has the best middleweight naked sports bike on the planet. I think KTM's 790/890, Aprilia's RS 660 and BMW's M1000RR could defend themselves in a brawl, but for a straight up street bike (no track) the 765 R for $10K - Triumph built a winner! Jes sayin'

    I just can't get over the preying mantis front ends on the street and speed triples. I can get a new Speed Triple RS 1200 for $14.7k at a local dealer and I just can't do it.

    Hi..I currently own a street triple 765 S..do you think 2023 RS would be a good upgrade or should i look for a 10r..just worried for my height which is 6.1

  • @AMPJ08
    @AMPJ08 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Nah that’s the click-bait here. Performance wise it might be there yes but nothing replaces the feeling of a fairing, clip ons instead of wide bars and attacking sporty position at a race track. The RS will sell for sure in the streets and odd track day but as said for true track experience the sport bike remains the tool of choice.

    • @JD730
      @JD730 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have to disagree. I have a 2020 street triple RS, had a 2014 street triple and had a 2010 ZX6R ninja. After owning the triumphs, I would never go back to a supersport. Clip on's , leaning over and being cramped into a ball isn't much fun on long trips and a street triple is very capable on a track. To each their own but i'd never go back.

      @@chicblair Oil change every 6,000 miles. With a break in service completed at 600 miles. Our shop charges a little over $200.00 to service a street triple 765. As far as aftermarket parts I don't know what you would need, If you're a good enough rider to need more than this bike in stock form consider yourself lucky as you're one of the better riders around. I might add frame sliders and lever protectors.
