You said Lava and it got me thinking if you could do that with epoxy. Make bright red hotspots with red molten crack in between what looks like chunks cooling and hardening.
At 16:53 you show a second vanity or a rework of the first. this vanity has integral sinks. I and I'm sure many others would like to know how you did this. The white sink did not belong in the same room as the epoxy top it was sitting on. The second version was stunning. From what i have watched applying epoxy to a vertical surface is tricky. What makes the application crack & peel. I love the look regardless. How durable is the product and are the chemicals absorbed by the food when food is placed on the counter.

Good questions Colleen! Yes you can go over Formica also when we start our project, we brush the edges horizontally before walking away from the pour. After it has cured 24 hrs we then we sand with 220 between coats, and then apply the second coat. You should have done a piece of wall art with left over epoxy. Would have been a pretty cool addition to the kitchen. It looks awesome though! (Wish I was swimming with the dolphins right now 🥰)
Does the epoxy that comes in the countertop kits have UV protection? Or if we are looking to make sure to have UV protection (doing a white counter) should we buy the Art Coat epoxy that says it has UV protection?
Great question. The Art Coat would be ideal. While the Countertop epoxy does have UV inhibitors, the Art Coat has more! Art coat would be the epoxy you want for a white project. -Thea

If you don't have our Metallic powders you can also use our Epoxy dyes or simply rustoleum spray paint!

Watch lots of vids make a list and just do it, if you mess up not a big deal sand it down a bit and try again everything can be corrected
Owner choice of colors are horendes. mud with sparklers. Hawaii has so many colors beside dirt and lava
