Hi Tom. I moved forward with the Leopard purchase (seated model) using your affiliated link and discount. Thanks again for your thorough review. Terrific content. I’ll continue to like and follow your channel. I grew up in Mesa. It’s easy to see you’re in the vicinity from the appearance of the landscape. All the best. Jeff
Thanks so much, Jeff! I think you’re going to thoroughly enjoy the Leopard. Let me know how you like it once you get to riding around. Yah I do a lot of riding in the Mesa and Gilbert area. Occasionally I’ll venture out to South Mountain in Phoenix or Queen Creek. Starting tomorrow the 100F temps are supposed to finally go away until next year. Fingers crossed haha. I may finally be able to ride in the middle of the day instead of super early in the morning.
I took many falls and risks as a young person! But as a new rider, I feel it's too easy to get hurt, especially by things you don't control, like weather, rocks, animals, potholes, and scooter breakdowns (while riding), to name a few. So I, as an older person now, may stop riding, given the crash risks and time for an older guy to potentially recover. A broken bone is risky for an older person, and can require an operation, which can be fatal. If you're a twenty year old - fine, you may be fine in most falls and operations. But not so if you're approaching 45 or older.
There’s definitely risks to riding any of these devices. And taking a fall, especially at speed, can result in serious injuries or worse. I took a spill on an electric skateboard 6 months ago at 28 mph and I was quickly reminded that I’m 37 and not 18 anymore. I was lucky to walk away with some gnarly road rash, and some pulled muscles. My helmet definitely saved me that day. Speed is a major factor in safety. The faster you go, the less time you have to react. And when you do react, speed just exacerbates any over corrections and knee jerk reactions.

After seeing the first review and now this one. I have purchased an Ausom Leopard. You are very thorough with your reviews. I've already subscribed to your channel and hope to see more videos. Thanks for your help.
I rode it few times now to work with the seat on. It's 14 miles each way and it was smooth sailing. I reached up to 32 mph on flat surface and got to 34 mph on a down hill. Overall I love it. It's made for NYC traffic.
Hey Tom, great video, What you’re describing with the scooter and quick turns is known in the motorcycle world as counter steering, it works on all motorcycles but became more recognized or acknowledged when sport bikes became more popular. Counter Steering on a sport bike is just part of the life, just thought you’d like to know the recognized term of your instruction, your selling me on seater scooter thing, my girlfriend r I de a small fat tire ebike, and I think with the right scooter, seated I could get her enjoying the scooter option more. One scooter I’ve been keeping my eye on is the one called Confon, Keep up the reviews !! Stay safe !!
Thank you! And thanks for sharing the technical term 😊. I’ll check out some sport bike videos on it. Yah I honestly didn’t think much of seater scooters until folks commenting on this channel throughout the year piqued my interest. As it turns out, it’s really fun haha. Plus, since you’re lower to the ground, you get the impression you’re going faster than you really are.
Haha! That’s right. The seat is totally worth it. I personally never really took the seat seriously because I didn’t think it was necessary. It was actually folks commenting on this channel that pushed me to give it an honest try. Now I love it. It’s nice to have a choice to either go seated or standing.
The tires are actually thicker than a standard bike tire. They are tubed, so I recommend adding Slime or something equivalent as a precaution. I have yet to get a flat from a puncture riding around the desert. The only flat I got was from a damaged valve stem.
Thank you! So the new Leopard DT1 pro doesn’t have a seat accessory unfortunately. The one that comes with the original Leopard bolts into the deck and the new DT1/Pro doesn’t have the deck bolt holes.

Love that Queen Creek Wash trail. One of my favorites.
It was my first time on that trail and really enjoyed it! It’s amazing what you can discover scootin around town haha.
I bought my friend an EVR Pro 2.0 & he loves it. Certainly the ATV of e-scooters
That thing looks like a tank haha. The scooter to ride for the end of times 💪. Looks like it supports a lot of weight as well. 200kg load is insane.

Ah makes sense. Yah many scooters usually all have the 265lb/120kg limit with the exception of a few, so 200kg is awesome!

Great Video.Would you get that same 35 miles or more on the new DT1 Pro.if you road single motor at the same settings and speeds?
Kukirin G2 Max is that you?? I wanna get one, but totally wondered about the seat!

Are the tires like that of a Bike where i would need to be worried about goat heads puncturing them?
