Does not work for me. The popups I am troubled with (for several years) are not external ads but "ads" promoting legitimate video content on the site itself. When reading content, there will be a large, inline image relevant to some other story. When I scroll past it, it reappears as a small popup toward the lower right of the screen but partially obscuring what I am reading. I can dismiss it (annoying enough) but it comes back if I refresh the page. Google already set to block and resetting it makes no difference nor does dumping cookies. (Some other people seem to be fighting popups from a source external to the site itself, more virus-like behavior.)

Dude, could you help me, the last few days when using hotmail, if I open an email using my touchscreen it pops up in a new window which is really annoying. When I opened with the touchpad it doesn't only the touchscreen but I like to use the touchscreen as it is a lot easier and faster.

I turned from block ( default setting ) to " block". It got better, but still have pop ups in the right side of the screen. Thank you though.

I would try cycling the block on and off then close the browser ans restart.

Whenever I'm clicking something it redirects me to a different tab (with a different site)- I have redirects and ad advertisments off.
Strange. Have you verified there are not extensions that you don't recognize installed?

If only it could also prevent the google chrome pages unresponsive popup. It doesn't.
