  • Short film shot using the vintage lens, on a Canon 4000D. Very inexpensive setup but quite happy with the results.
Make sure to watch this with headphones!!

Very cool - love seeing nature. I quit like those hand held shots now. A few lighting changes here and there :)

Hi, do you still remember which settings u used for video canon 4000d?

Hey, it’s been a while! I remember I used full manual and used the more blue white balance with the iso as low down as possible.

do you recommend the 4000d with basic kit for shooting short films? especially for those who don't have a lot of budget, or rather the 2000d for a few hundred more?

Hey! It’s definitely doable with the 4000d, if you check my channel I filmed a short film using it when I was a real beginner and the quality is serviceable, definitely get a tripod though and remember to warp stabilise footage if possible as the lack of auto stabilisation in the camera is really noticeable. I think for this video I used a helios lens I got from eBay for about £20 with a lens adapter so definitely options out there till you decide to get a better camera!! Good luck out there
