THIS IS WHAT WE NEED! We need FILMS! We need stories! Thank you Sam for all of your work and for inspiring US to tell the stories that need to be told! You truly are an artist! 🙏
Sam...... I almost cried.... Your cinematography is ALWAYS emotion evoking; and raw and real. Please never change and never stop. The world needs your artistic input.
🥹😭 I am speechless…. The storytelling, the visuals, the sound design… and not to mention how “one last shot was the biggest lie I ever told” comes full circle at the end!!!!! This is a masterpiece, you two crushed this! And Chris, you are a beautiful soul, so happy you came out on top 🙌🏽
legit was almost tearing up at the end. Chris, I'm so freaking proud to have met you dude, you're such an inspiring human and deserve everything that's coming your way right now in this life. Sam, thank you for telling this incredible story the world needed to hear.
What a beautifull story and what a great film you made of it. it's like i see myself, 3 years sober, making memories with those who are important to me and capture them with a camera so the memories are last forever.
Wow...Sam...this is absolutely breathtaking. I have no words other than thank you for making this gem of a story and Chris, Im very glad to hear of your outcome. You're truly an inspiration.
Chills. Chris- my heart aches for how many times you’ve been broken. The healing never stops but I’m so thankful you’re here 🙏. Resilience personified. Thanks for sharing your story. This was so powerfully captured. Great job Sam & team 🙌
Sam, you just left me speechless… The depth and beauty behind ‘One more shot’ showcased in those stunning visuals and Chris’ moving story made this short film truly breathtaking. When are we watching you on the big screen, Sam?
Man this made me tear up. Honestly I’m so proud of you dude, I know we’ve never met in person but I feel like I know you. Such an inspiring life and film. Congratulations on everything guys!
Knowning Chris for a bit now, and watching this, made me emotional, he is one of the most kind people I have ever met, at any moment a comment he says or an expression he does brings a smile to you, and I am so grateful you found a way to live life at the fullest. Big love bro ❤
I remember stumbling across this random photographer in the Antelope Valley and seeing him as he was trying to coordinate meetups in that space. So wild to have been a witness to this journey and see everything come to life @ChristopherBalladarez really cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you and Forever amazed at your dedication. You did a great job @Jay and @Sam capturing the story of this dynamic duo found in Christopher and Veronica. What a beautiful moment.
This film hits me a lot. I've been losing interest in my dreams of being a photographer because of how I was so stucked in my past traumas. Now, this make me feel that there's always a shot. Damn, I feel comfortable now and back to my dreams. Thanks, man!💖
I can relate to his story to a point. I have been sober almost 7 years and photography has helped fill a void in my life. I have always been an outdoors person but with photography, it pushes me to get out to places I would have never gone before. Congratulations to @ChristopherBalladarez on 5 years sober and for another awesome video from Sam. The struggle will always be there and that will always be a fight but photography is a positive outlet.
Truly inspirational work @SamNewton and thank you deeply for sharing your life's journey @ChristopherBalladarez . It takes real strength to give strength to others who need it. Thank you both 🙏
Trust me when I say this - I am intrigued by a lot of creators, be it Benn tk, Eric Hedenfalk, Sam Kolder, I absolutely love their work. But when it comes to Sam Newton, Man I am not only intrigued, but the way he create these videos with his power of storytelling, I just feel like I am not only watching it but I am the main character of that video. Truly Sam, when it comes storytelling, I do not find anyone even close to you. You are my inspiration. And I am finally commenting on your videos after so many years of watching and sharing your content. ❤You definitely created an impact in my life.
I love when you make these films bro! You have a way to capture someone's story in a short period of time, but it feels like you've expressed a life time of experience all together.
This is obviously beautiful. As somebody that struggled with addiction and have now put my obsession towards cameras and film I can also relate. I have found my obsessive personality to be a curse and a gift. If you can learn to pinpoint and sort of choose what you're obsessed with can be very very powerful. If not it takes control in something you don't choose. I've realized that I pretty much always will be obsessed with something but it's what something that's important. Very beautiful you guys are so talented.
Sheeeshh man! I can relate. I commend you for coming out of that brother we take it one day at a time! I feel you on having other obsessions haha I realize that I will always be an addict but that’s a good realization to have because as long as I know it’s as long as I’ll be sober! Coffee is definitely addictive thooo haha
@@ChristopherBalladarez ya I forgot a couple times. Not fun. And they were not joking that.. I ended up right back where I was. Literally two days and I was back to where I was before I quit. But the times were I was just kind of getting by. Enough to keep up appearances and maintain a job. And it's like. "I thought I was doing good". But really the obsession was still there. This is a masterpiece on a whole new level. Such a storied life told so eloquently and extra, deeper meaning hidden in every cut, every shot choice, every word. Amazing work!
10 out of 10. The feeling of gathering those shots and stitching them together in post to drive emotion is palpable, and I can completely relate. It presents a canvas to the world that can't be seen by looking at the person themself. I am also a C70 shooter.
Wow! What an incredible film! It touched me deeply, evoking genuine tears and stirring up a whirlwind of emotions. The storytelling was exceptionally powerful, making it an immensely emotional cinematic experience.
Excellent use of animations to help tell the story. I love how you also experimented with filming differently for this one. I loved the energy created by the unorthodox camera movement and the matching cuts. Love seeing a different approach. Happy for Chris man. Most people never come back from that type of past. Glad to see you thriving Chris!
One more shot has everything it needs. You have created a breathtaking video to inspire the thousands of people who feel small and insignificant their whole lives. I really hope this reaches millions of people who can find their purpose and the road to travel in life. The narration, visuals, and aesthetics along with the message in the end are inspirational. You are really an inspiration for many. Great work!
I relate to this on so many levels! Being in recovery myself and struggling with feeling adequate when I was younger to also having a passion for photography. Man...brought tears ❤ This is so incredibly beautiful ❤
hands down, one of the best stories that You Sam have told! Incredible subject, an important topic and an inspiring story. Thank you for conveying it to us an! Thank you..
Great story and very heartwarming and encouraging. May you continue sober and passionate about life. I'm a recovering alcoholic (30 years) and photography and video has been the thread that's kept me going through some very dark times. Capturing the beauty of nature and meeting people and documenting their stories has made me see beyond my troubles and see the human challenge and promise in everyone.
This is nothing less than true art. This was the first video I watched on your channel and you took me through your journey from second one. Thanks for sharing it and happy for you finding photography and video!
Thank you for sharing your difficult but inspirational story. If only others could find the non-destructive passion you found, it would save many lives. Your pictures are beautiful and touch my soul. I wish you success, love, and most importantly: peace.
