@@DeepakAlisha Sound is in the recorded file, there are no speakers on the camera, so you can't hear sound played back on the camera, but you can on a computer.
How to connect camera to computer so i can view videos?
I tried to removed my memory card from my camera and i put into the computer, but im didn't find the file of videos, can you help me what i can do?

When filming myself on it, I use canons camera app to focus with my phone, then I mark where I am standing, run to the camera, turn it to manual focus, video mode, hit record and run back to the mark. It's not brilliant but its a work around :)

I bought this camera in 2019 for 199€ with the 18-55mm objectiv, a little bag and also a 16GB SD card. It was brand new because it was a birthday present for my father but we took until now like 20 pictures with it so I guess after this Guide it is time to start using it again :)

This is exactly what happened to me upto now I am still struggling with this camera
I was so close of buying the m50 mark2, but I bought the 4000D instead. It is quite hard to work with, but with these videos like this one should help me a lot. Thanks, Kai!
This is an awesome guide Kai, you're doing such great work for beginner photographer/videographers out there! Really impressed with the results from this camera, the cheapest camera we've ever owned as a 100D and we always struggled with the same kit lens. Think the 4000D looks pretty decent overall for the price, would definitely stick a nifty fifty on there and it would definitely do a good job on portraits and b roll I think.

Tip is to download canons webcamera utility. Then you can record directly to your PC/mac using OBS or similar with no "12 min" limit. You can also use manual settings and record without screen on overheating your camera. Also you can controll your setting from the computer using the EOS utility.

I have just purchased a Rebel T100 as I am in the USA. I love the tutorial it was so timely. I understand that I must up my game when it comes to video production. I too was shocked when I hit the playback button and realized there wasn't a speaker. lol Oh well, the price point was in my wheelhouse so I have installed an external mic and I make sure I have my laptop when shooting outdoors. Again, super awesome video and thanks for all of the tips!

This was very useful! I did figure out pretty quickly that I wasn't going to make my 400D my primary videography camera. But it should make an acceptable B-roll camera, at least.

I had a 4000D, and really enjoyed it for photos and would definitely recommend it to beginners for such.
I originally bought the 4000D to use as a "B Roll" camera for a multi-camera environment. Unfortunately the limitations on video were just a bit too much for me.
I ended up getting a used T5i to tide me over, which was similar in cost, but overcame many of the challenges. Eventually I upgraded to an SL3 when budget allowed, which was a big step forward.
In my opinion, the 4000D is a great budget starter for photos, but not quite there for video. That being said the information provided here at least gives one a fighting chance. Thanks for the excellent content.

That's how life goes sometimes it be the same with our speaker with her video or something the power shot camera I have is a Sony h300 is good I can hear sound through camera but yeah.

I was using this one in the past and i can say for a newbie this is a good camera. But i would suggest that if you have the budget to buy for a btter one then you should go and buy, I’ve been using this camera for i think 6mo before switching to canon 800d.

3:07 Actually you can record with a microphone on this, you have to get a separate cord to do it ( I forget what it's called) but I've done it before.

Great question - get some ND filters for your lens - if you adjust the shutter speed you will have different types of motion blur.

It’s possible - but video on the 4000D is hard work - it records sound but with no external speakers it becomes difficult to listen back to and get the levels right - also no options to add a mic - you will have to record audio separately and sync in post. Additionally there is no Dpaf - so the focusing is going to have to be done manually - meaning lots of possible out of focus footage while you try and film and play at the same time - save yourself the headache and get something like a Canon M50, M6, G7xmarkiii or a Sl3(250D) 🙏🙏🙏

In your editing software you can make a project that is 4K and scale your 1080 footage to match it

Yes there is - but there are no speakers on the camera - so when you play the video back on the camera you won’t hear any sound - you have to play it back on your PC or Mac to hear it

It's okay-ish if you don't need to move the camera, but just try using it on a gimbal....the AF doesn't cut it. This camera is basically only good for taking photos in manual mode. Everything else is really a waste of time. So, if you're a beginner and you have one, forget about making movies where the camera has to move, and learn how to shoot pics in M.
How to take a video with sound
The video will automatically record sound - but the camera doesn’t have speakers - so you can’t hear the sound on playback - you need to move the footage to a computer or MacBook to hear it 🙏🙏
