Picked mine up from a big box store. Got what I felt was a crazy good deal because they were a store return/open box. Paid $230. Absolutely blown away. ESPECIALLY at that price lol. I have a Klipsch R-14B sound bar and 10 subwoofer hooked up to my tv for movies. I had planned on just using these for Bluetooth music and my turntable. I have to say…. These sound so ridiculously crips that I’m tempted to just ditch my sound bar entirely. I ran the RCA from my receiver to my tv and watched a little game of thrones. The highs are SO clean on the R-50M that I felt like the background noises around camps and castles have never felt so real. Anywho, my two cents. Great review!
So I picked these up about a week ago and this is my first entry into Klipsch. These do not sound that bright to me at all although I am getting older but my family does not think they are bright, they prefer the sound to my Definitive Technology Mythos. I just now ran them side by side with the RP 500m Mark II and have to say I am keeping the R50m. Has anyone else ran them side by side yet I am curious on your conclusions. The build quality on the RP line is very nice but then again sound is important. I just can't justify almost double the price.
I have heard and owned both myself. I prefer the R-50m over the RP-500MII as well. Different sound signature but it's all in the synergy of your system and what sound you like.
How is your shield connected to your amp/receiver? HDMI I assume. Maybe you're using a USB DAC?? Just don't know how you're getting that device capability on Amazon music.

Glad you like them! $230 is bargain for sure.
which one is better when compared to the r51m?
good review! just bought pair of R 51 PM for 429 USD in china. I'm worried if new model of Powered monitor will launch soon... lol
Great speakers for the price
Very clear. Remind me of studio monitors.

I hear you. Most would probably not hear the difference. Good choice!

Useful review
Bonjour de la France....... excellent travail
Can u compare it with jbl stage A130
Do they sound bright? I want to hear cymbals.
I could everything clearly in the high frequency range.
I noticed your Amazon Music app said your device capability was 24/192 - Curious what you are streaming from device wise?
I’m using the Nvidia shield pro.
@@Upscaled_HT I thought that capped at 48? I don't get bit perfect from my shield.

Please reply! lol @upscaled_reviews
@@matthewbyrnes2879 the shield is going straight into my receiver. Nothing special really.
Can I use these with a focusrite audio interface ? ( no amp - just straight off my laptop)
You need some sort of amp. You can power them easy off a mini amp from Amazon. amzn.to/3dw8A9x
@@Upscaled_HT Thanks. I notice that amp has no bass and treble controls. I suppose could install a graphic equaliser software on the pc, right ?
The foam around my JBL woofer has deterioated. This makes the speaker useless. It's about 10 years old. Am I too unfortunate?
10 years is a little short but foam surrounds are less dependable than rubber surrounds.
Upscaled Reviews Are these the same as r51m?
Can I use this as surround back speakers?
You absolutely can.
The dip could possibly your room
Yup. Every room will measure differently.
