I played trumpet for about 5 years 3 years being first and second chair symphonic band but I gave it up after getting to real life and I want to come back to it but don’t wanna go buy another 2000 dollar trumpet I would love something that gets sound and something I can pull out when I have free time have fun
That had a really beautiful tone. Much better than some brass trumpets even. Smooth and dark... I'd love to see what Miles could do with something like this.
I'm looking for a ptrumpet, but I can't identify if it's the newest version or the older, do you know where can be this 2019 version ptrumpet bought? Thank you
The low range is still not responsive to me. I'm not a trumpet player per se, but I teach trumpet lessons and for me, the traditional brass trumpet is so much better. That being said, I love the weight of the pTrumpet. It is such an effortless horn to hold.
It's a cheaper option to learn on, but it doesn't have the timbre of brass. (See also: plastic recorders compared to wood.) Now how about a left handed version.
Does not have the brassy sound of a trumpet. Way too dark. Maybe fine if you're playing symphonic music like this guy does. Perhaps it is just his tone because he is a symphony player. I would like to hear a commercial player play some things on this. I suspect it will really suck.
@@sonacphotos Really. So why are there beginner, intermediate, and professional level trumpets ranging from $100 to many thousands of dollars? Why doesn't every professional musician just get one of these cheap plastic trumpets and play them since it's about the playing and not the instrument after all. That was a ridiculous comment.
@@BillSmith-rx9rm there are some differences between each instrument but it mostly comes down to the player and how they make it sound. If you ever see a really good musician playing, they usually can pick up a beginner instrument and make it sound the same as a professional one. The mouthpiece is one big detail too because its what actually gives the trumpet its sound. If I have made any incorrect statements, please correct me because I’m still learning just like the rest of you (:
@@wc6046 to the average person on the street whose ear isn't attuned, you might not notice the difference but if you get attuned to what a decent brass trumpet sounds like, the sound of plastic trumpets reeks of plastic - you can just hear it in the sound, even when played by a good player as it is in the above video - he makes it sound about as good as it can sound but it's still a plastic trumpet. Players in a theme park clown band might use one but no serious orchestral section player or classical soloist would play one in performance. Here's a short example of a solo trumpet playing an iconic solo - if the link doesn't take you there automatically go to 58 seconds. It's a C trumpet instead of a Bb trumpet but the idea is the same. You didn't go below low C. Finding that register dodgy on the ptrumpet.
