Oh good I'm not the only one scouring youtube for Tennessee whiskey reaction videos lol my favorite part is waiting for the first run and watching them lose their sh@t.
@Chris Stapleton I`m from Europe and I`m listening to this song for the first time. And yes, I`ve got chills all over. You`ve got yourself a big new fan :))))) Friendly greetings from Slovenia :)
Chris Stapleton got me hooked on to country music and I thank him for that! Country music is absolutely amazing. So many feelings in most of the songs. ❤️🔥
"You're as warm as a glass of brandy..." That part gets them every time. Shoot, it got me. As an African-American woman, I enjoy all types of music. It doesn't matter the color of the artist. Chris Stapleton is that guy. His voice is like a blend of southern soul, blues, and country. He makes you feel whatever he's singing. It's good you admitted that you didn't know much about country music. There are a lot of us who think the same way until we stumble upon a country artist who changes our view, the way Chris Stapleton did with you. I've always liked country from a young age. I remember seeing Garth Brooks and instantly connecting to his music. There are a lot of amazing country artists out there Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Willie Nelson, Luke Bryan, etc. You get the picture. Great reaction. Keep them coming.
You just melted my heart when you said, "I realize how ignorant I was" - you're so humble in your reactions and so open to new things, and that's what is most appealing about your videos. You make me want to be more open-minded. I clicked on this thinking it might be a song I'd heard before; it turned out to be new to me, and I loved it, too. Thanks!
Chris Stapleton is an extraordinary artist: his voice is soulful, edgy, bluesy; the vocals are amazing, the arrangement is perfect; he's an exceptional artist
I heard this sang by someone who was doing like the music sheet version... No heart in it at all and a bunch of people were saying how they adored that cover. It was horrible compared to Stapleton.
When Chris sings this song he means it. He didn't write it, but every time he performs this song it's dedicated to his wife and daughter. He quit drinking for them.
React to Chris’ “ I Was Wrong”, “Parachute”, “Millionaire”, “Death Row”, “Broken Halos”. Warning, once you go down the Chris Stapleton rabbit hole, there’s no escape!
I absolutely love watching peoples first reactions to Chris Stapleton’s voice. Thank you for this I really appreciate it this man’s voice is absolutely brilliant
Honestly it’s not that you been missing it this whole time. Chris truly is a diamond in the ruff. So much soul and passion is a true rare thing these days. I’m a country fan have been for a long time. I also love pretty much every other genre. Guys like Chris are generational.
When he sings live, he has this small rasp in his voice that is so beautiful. The studio recordings tend to clean that up and I miss it. His live performances are so absolutely wonderful.
The first time I ever heard Chris Stapleton, it was seeing him perform live at the O2 in London. It was just him, his band and his wife onstage, absolutely phenomenal. I was so incredibly lucky.
Your face through the whole song!😂 Thank you for not stopping the song every 5 seconds. Your face said it all! Love Chris Stapleton. Check out Man’s World!
Right!!!!? He is the only one so far who reacts more than playing the song all the way through. You really miss the emotion of the songs when you stop them every 2 seconds and react for 5 minutes. I think it would be better to play the song all the way through ( especially a song like this) make faces then verbally react after the song. Maybe it’s just me. Why I love them because we are introducing each other to music we would have ignored any other time. This creates a human connection. We need this
I am a country music fan, but not today's country, mostly traditional older country and some new acts. Chris happens to be one of those "new" acts that I listen to regularly. I wouldn't categorize him as "country". He is almost a genre all his own. There is a ton of blues, R&B, soul, rock, and some country in his performances. You should check out "I Was Wrong" if you want to hear some more really good music with a ton of soul in it. You should put your twitter handle out there my friend. Would love to follow and see when you have other stuff. I am not on TH-cam regularly otherwise.
Your reaction my brother is not unusual . Most people react. This man pours his heart & soul into his songs. Thats what real blues are. Thank you for your honesty.
No those of us who enjoyed music listened to country in the late 60' and the 70's knew they could. We listened to Rock,Soul,Disco,Heavy Metal , Pop and yes Country. Right On!✊🏾
Soul is soul no matter who's stage you get up and sing on...some peole got it, some don't. Chris was blessed with an extra helping of it that's for sure.
Thank God we're coming out of those boxes that we've been living in. Things are not always what they seem. Chris is one of the vessels, that God is using to break yolks in people's lives with his music. I love this man and his wife. Peace and blessings
I understand why he's labeled as a country singer but anyone who has their sense of hearing can tell within 5 seconds of hearing him for the first time that he's an equal mix of soul and blues. I guess they need a headline performer at the 10 or so country music Awards shows that litter our airwaves.
Man, this was probably the best reaction to a song I've seen lol. I'm a big fan of country, but you gotta dig deep to find this good of country. I'm thinking... I'll try to find you something else. For me though, country music is about living life out in the country, love, heartbreak and life. Really glad you liked this song bro. I hope you find more.
Try this one.. This is much more out of fun than talent lol Although, there is serious talent with them spoons... th-cam.com/video/_nLmM9kcBKs/w-d-xo.html
Somehow I have stumbled on all these country rap vids. Like said, I am not a fan of rap in my country. I'm not really sure why I keep sharing them. Maybe because the lyrics hold true. Anyway, I promise no more tonight lol. Hope you react to a couple of those though. Haha, just realized I didnt actually post the link for this one. th-cam.com/video/QD9G9tG7WXQ/w-d-xo.html
His wife sings the harmony with him. He tends to be a bit introverted so her being there helps him. Although he is not typical of country music, he is an amazing country star.
its the type of music that touches the soul, that type of music doesnt have a genre....it comes in rock, metal, blues, country, rap, hiphop...folk, you name it..even in dubstep and techno....when its from the heart...its for the soul.
My new hobby is watching black people reacting to Tennessee Whiskey
Watch when they see devil went down to Georgia! 🤣🤣🤣
I wonder why we don't white people react to music predominantly sung by blacks? Interesting. I want to see white people react to black gospel music.
neetrab I’m white and I Love Black Gospel.
ME TOO! I'm korean and love it
Oh good I'm not the only one scouring youtube for Tennessee whiskey reaction videos lol my favorite part is waiting for the first run and watching them lose their sh@t.
Everyone who hears this the first time makes the same face. It's epic.
I was thinking that too! So fun to watch their reaction!
Stank face is what it is called
I've watched so many Tennessee whiskey reaction videos and that face gets me every time
It really never gets old. lol
So true...I love it!
What's even more terrifying about Chris is he sounds just as good if not better LIVE. He's unbelievably talented.
Live is best
Nothing like his live, bad man
Definitely better. Like "throw your shoe" better.
Periodt
I’ve seen him live and I’d have to say his guitar playing and voice are better live.
Don't feel like the lone ranger, that's how everyone reacts the first time they hear Mr. Stapleton, lol. He's just that good!
@Chris Stapleton
I`m from Europe and I`m listening to this song for the first time. And yes, I`ve got chills all over. You`ve got yourself a big new fan :)))))
Friendly greetings from Slovenia :)
@Chris Stapleton oh please, whatever
@@lechat8533 Sweetie I'm sorry to have to tell you this but that's not Chris Stapleton.
@Chris Stapleton
Etta james reincarnated
Honey, yes! That bearded white dude can S I N G!
The soul of Etta James has found a new place to live on in Chris Stapleton.
Literally hear her in her voice...
Wait... this is her song?!
Not her song...same intro notes as I’d Rather Go Blind. Check out Beth Hart and Jeff Beck doing it.
The soul can sing many songs a once. It is the feeling from the heart to an ear that influences both.
I love Etta.
" I don't like country music"
Sits there with mouth open & chilly bumps...
What just happened???
💕💗😁🤣
Chris Stapleton got me hooked on to country music and I thank him for that! Country music is absolutely amazing. So many feelings in most of the songs. ❤️🔥
Like most other things, music genres aren't monolithic; there are different sub-categories.
I live in Tennessee and I hate country music
Amen. Not a big fan of country, but this guy has one of those once in a lifetime voices. Perfection.
Chris does that to folks👍🏽👍🏽
Some days, I search through uTube just to find someone reacting to Chris Stapleton for the first time..... I’m never disappointed! Priceless!!!
Carla Wahl LoL, me too!
Me too.And was blown away when I first heard Chris' version.
Me as well!
It replaced my old hobby, which was watching people react to Josh Turner's voice for the first time.
Joseph Porterfield ..... 🥰 Josh Turner!
I have yet to see ANY reactors get through that first"waaaaaaarm" without freaking.
Man, woman, it doesn't matter.

Everyone: I hate Country music
Chris Stapleton: Hold my beer and Tennessee whiskey
🇪🇸👍❤️😍
Hold my whiskey....
🙌🤣🤣
Love this
Thought I didn't need country music
But I was wrong lol
The harmony is out of this world, but that voice is out of this universe!!! Mind 🤯
My husband and I danced to this song at our wedding. I still get chills EVERY time I hear it.
Chris Stapleton is an extraordinary artist: his voice is soulful, edgy, bluesy; the vocals are amazing, the arrangement is perfect; he's an exceptional artist
i just love watching non country music listeners listen to GOOD country music for the first time lmao
@@jmit3491 i think chris Stapleton could be classified as country but i agree, david allen coe & george jones is pure country. the best it gets.
Same. Some even end up adding the songs to their playlist lol
Me too, especially Chris Stapleton,
LOVE YOUR FIRST REACTION!! CHRIS HAS THAT EFFECT ON THE PEOPLE HEARING HIM FOR 1ST TIME...YOU ROCK!
I thought my screen froze when you first reacted 😂🤣😂
@Chris Stapleton nice try
I tell You when I first heard this song it moved me. He sinks his soul in these lyrics. I love love love this song 😍😍😍

Broken Halo I heard right after my niece passed away. 9-24-09/10-17-17 definitely an amazing year jerker
“Sometimes I cry “
Broken halos is magical
Fire away
See what you've missed from Country music?
The look on your face when you said, “Oh my God.” That was GENUINE shock!!! LOL
This is one of those songs where you close your eyes, sit back and let the song wash over you
With a class of Brandy
Goes to show you that every genre of music deserves love and appreciation for talent
Grammy award winner. Singer/songwriter and great guitarist. He's the real deal
His Wife is the Female singing with him. She is also a talented performer in her own right.
He said, “Whoa Chris!” 😂 You didn’t know country boy‘s could sing like that did you Rome? 🤠 Great video man!
You don't hear this song, you feel this song!!🔥
It’s better that you were late to the party than not invited at all. Chris Stapleton and his wife are
in a class all by themselves
I listen to all kinds of music cause you never know when you're going to find a gem.
Your face the entire time is “what have i been doing with my life!” 😂😂

This is the same reaction ever time I hear this humble unbelievable man. His wife adds so much to his songs. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ them
LOVED your reactions to Chris! Especially when you jumped out of your chair :) Can we all assume Chris has a new fan?
Check out his performance with Justin Timberlake at the 2015 CMAs. You will be blown away.
His performance with Dwight Yoakum doing Seven Spanish Angels made me cry.
Avery R yeeeeeeees they turn it out!
” Say something ” with JT. I buy every song of Chris’. 👍
They performance was bad ass
Their video of "Say Something" is one of my favorites. So clear and amazing, what two talented people can make with some passion and hard work.
I've watched as many reactions to Chris as I can and yours is my absolute favorite!!!!
There ain't that many country singers like Chris Stapleton in my opinion. This man is rare! 💯
Listen to Delbert McClinton
People- "Country music sucks."
Chris Stapleton- "Hold my beer."
@@jmit3491 why do you care so much for commenting on others that like this version so much ? Because it’s not “country enough” for your liking
Nothing compares to no show Jones for sure
The man sounds better live.I don't think hes human.lol
I got to meet and work for him he's a great dude and definitely agree he's better live
When he sings live, he has this small rasp in his voice that is so beautiful. The studio recordings tend to clean that up and I miss it. His live performances are so absolutely wonderful.
He may be the best singer to ever come out of Kentucky.
The first time I ever heard Chris Stapleton, it was seeing him perform live at the O2 in London. It was just him, his band and his wife onstage, absolutely phenomenal. I was so incredibly lucky.
None of us have think he is lol
The live version with him and Justin Timberlake is the best live performances ever
Hands down
I DO AGREE!!! THEY DID AND AWESOME JOB!!!
You wanna hear him really go off vocally? Sometimes I cry at the Bing lounge. Dude straight kills it.
All his music is incredible. I love watching your reaction!!
That was a genuine reaction of shock and amazement
I absolutely love seeing people's reactions to Chris's Tennessee Whiskey!!

I love the live version of "I was wrong" at Austin City Limits!
I agree I tolerate new country but for me anything from.the 90s back
I found that if it's a new country song and I actually like it, there's a solid chance that it was written by Chris Staunton
I love country and western Marty Robbins my favourite still listen to him today along with slim whitman
@Michael Martin Turn on push notifications for TH-cam. You will know when new followed channel videos are released
"I realize how ignorant I was", and that's fine! Ignorance is just a lack of knowledge, you just didn't know country had soul too.
You've just been baptized by Chris 🍻
Honey you can't beat Chris !! That voice is some thing else .
I could see your mind being blown!! Love your reactions!!!
Probably the best reaction I have seen of this song. I've had the pleasure of enjoying for a minute. Don't sleep on Country especially. Chris
And Yes that is him on Guitar the man has a VOICE with Soul
I felt the same way my first time too. Hearing Chris Stapleton’s for the first time is like seeing your first sunset. It’s breathtaking...🙏🥰
But your reaction is priceless...and hell yes...#chrisstapleton is that good!!!!
Keep up the good work young man. I absolutely love your reactions. You are the real deal!
Chris is obviously an old soul damn I love this song and l live in Tennessee lol
When Chris hits that first run every time lol
Most modern country music doesn't rise to this level.
Your spitting truth there
That's why I am not a fan of modern country but the stuff I was raised with in the 70s......and of course Chris Stapleton......

Country music has a lot to offer.
Chris ain't just "country"; he's soul.

Love, love, love this reaction. I had the same experience my first time listening to Chris. He is very special 😁👍
Yes he is!
His wife Morgan sings with him. You should hear the two of them sing "Amanda", or " You are My Sunshine". So talented.
Love "Amanda" by Don Williams.
Love first timers face the second Chris starts to sing!
Soul is soul no matter who's stage you get up and sing on...some peole got it, some don't. Chris was blessed with an extra helping of it that's for sure.

You sing this to your girl she's gonna melt like butter in your hands.
I love how people who don't have a background with country react to this masterpiece of a song, it always brings a smile to my face
You’re face at the top is the best reaction yet! I watch a lot of these reactions cause Chris gets em every time. But your face wins. ❤️🇨🇦🌶🥰
James, you're going to find songs you love in ALL genres. Music is good for the soul. The woman singing with him is his wife. They blend so well.
It’s funny that most people say they don’t like country then they realize the blues and soul of the music and it speaks to you in another way..
I love your reactions ❤
