Shauna Scott no in the Season 1 finale Quinn’s Mom goes to watch her perform at Regionals, and she goes backstage and tells Quinn she can come home and she kicked her dad out because he was having an affair
You know, everytime I hear about parents kicking out their own daughters because they got pregnant, or disowning their sons because they are gay, I think about parents who lost kids in combat. Who lost kids in gang violence. Who lost kids in everyday car accidents, or to cancer. And I think about how those parents would do anything to spend just one more minute with their child again. And yet, there are "parents" out there who are so ready to effectively "kill" their own child from existence, for reasons that are not even wrong (being gay) or are genuine mistakes (getting pregnant accidentally). It really blows my mind.
Ofinnof Gaming lol the reaction for sons vs daughters are never the same when it comes to sex. It’s comparatively better for your son to get someone else’s daughter pregnant as opposed to YOUR daughter getting pregnant.
I think Quinn's dad could be a little abusive tho (psychical abuse). Because once she found out Quinn's dad was cheating on her, and she kicked him out... she asked Quinn to come back home. So I guess she was on her husband's side for a different reason that believing Quinn did something wrong.
it’s so malicious how he tells quinn that story about the baseball game. i’m 100% sure he knew he was gonna throw her out the whole conversation. that story was just the final punch to her gut. it wasn’t out of love it was out of spite
what do you mean *even* after finding out the baby was finn’s? that’s the whole reason she let her stay, because she thought quinn was the mother of her future grandchild.
T Mobile adoption exists. That's what Quinn ultimately chose and Beth lives a good life. I get being angry, but this is the part where you talk to your kid about what the game plan is going to be. If abortion is a no-go because they're religious, then talk to the kid about considering giving the kids for adoption and start looking for responsible adult pairs that want to raise a kid. THAT would be the responsible thing to do.
This scene is very powerful...but even more powerful if you knew behind-the-scenes. This season, Quinn’s backstory was SEVERELY cut this season to the point where it was practically nonexistent. In several deleted scenes in the scripts, it is suggested that Quinn has severe Daddy issues. Her dad supposedly disregards her and constantly compares her to her apparently more successful older sister. She’s desperate to make her dad proud of her which is why she formed the celibacy club. She has an obsession to be absolutely perfect so that her dad will finally acknowledge her. There’s literally no one that Quinn Fabray looks more up to than her dad. Knowing this, I think this scene is 10x more impactful. Since her dad teases Quinn with a story of how much attention she gave Quinn when she was a baby. The attention she was demanding all this time...only for him to cruelly take it all away with “YOU are the disappointment here!” Powerful scene.
Annie Center why? And doesn’t even do a good job at that she goes from bitchy cheerleader to nice outcast to bitchy cheerleader and then to skank then to crazy teen mom?? It was just weird to me.
I had a pregnancy scare this year (I’m in my mid-teens, and I realized what I did was wrong) and as soon as I told my parents, I had so much trust in them, my parents told me I was a disappointment, they had one less child, and my dad told me that by the time he gets home from work, my stuff better have been out of the house. Ever since, we haven’t had the same relationship.💔It’s funny how the people who say that they will love you unconditionally, can turn in half a second.
Even though I wasn't crazy about Quinn, this scene made me just want to grab her and tell her it would be ok. I understand why they were so upset and shocked but doing that was beyond wrong. What she needed was someone who could comfort her and tell her they loved her.
Kaitlyn V True, but i’m more mad at Quinn mom. Letting her husband kick out their own daughter out, then all the sudden she had the power to kick him out. For cheating on her, I don’t buy Mrs Fabray story at all...
*Exactly* She's a teenager. They don't have full impulse control and her parents should have realized that. I mean, I want to teach my kids to wait for marriage, but I would *never* throw them out for it. She was scared, and she had no idea what to do. She needed *help* , not to be thrown out by her unloving father.

I don’t think it’s even about priorities, the Bible teaches love and support, and we all make mistakes- it’s human nature but the Bible says we should love and help each other no matter what. If they were really religious they would’ve helped and supported her.
Heck, even if abortion is automatically off the table, this is still something you TALK to your kid about and try to HELP them. I mean, Quinn ultimately chose to give Beth up for adoption. You can't tell me a rational adult pair couldn't come to the same conclusion and look that as an option if they can't take care of the kid themselves for whatever reason. Ultimately, you need to HELP your kid when something bad happens. That's what family is for.
I kinda understand of why he would throw Finn out, u know, he was angry at him. I mean his daughter got pregnant. But the fact that he threw her out just shows that he doesn't really care for her. Children make mistakes and it's theirs to make. He should've been supportive.
My cousin got pregnant her senior year of highschool. We went to the same school and even took the same bus at one point so I heard all the comments made about her. I stopped talking to one girl because she made a mean comment about her to me without knowing that she was my cousin. I found out later that my aunt would talk to my dad about her parenting and where she went wrong, but not once did she ever turn her back on her daughter. My aunt got her a job, supported her by babysitting the little girl once she was born and their relationship never suffered, in fact I think that they grew closer because of that. My uncle was also very supportive of her and he loved the little girl since the moment she was born. I think about that a lot because even thought my aunt and uncle wanted more for their daughter, they never judged her, they helped her, and if they ever got angry at anyone it was at themselves because they thought they hadn't been good parents. That's the kind of selfless, loving, nurturing bond that I think a lot of families lack.
I see a lot of people getting mad at Quinn’s Mom for not saying anything here, but keep in mind her husband is implied to be somewhat abusive. He’s clearly intimidating and has made himself the head of the house and the decisions and actions of the people in it, while priding himself with his pure Christian values and beauty pure Christian wife and daughter, which is what Quinn’s pregnancy is against and so he deems her unacceptable. His wife is obviously scared of him, and probably thought if she stood up for Quinn he’d kick HER out, or WORSE.
I feel like he just told her the story about the baseball game to show her who his real daughter was and not her now, hinting to her how much of a disappointment she is and that she is a stranger showing her that he will never forgive her. judging by the way she acts around them she’s terrified as she is completely different with her parents than when she’s at school which is probably why she is so mean because she’s angry due to her past and confined to her fathers ways. Unable to express herself.
This is honestly the most heartbreaking moment in Glee for me. It made me realise how amazing Dianna Agron is as an actress. But this moment where your own family turns you away just killed me.
I feel so sorry for Quinn's mum living in fear of what her husband will say or do if they disgrace him but I can't even begin to sympathize with her when she abandoned her daughter who needed her the most at this moment in time it's honestly disgraceful xxx
Louise Mills Maybe so, but I’m mad then feel sorry at that moment. But Mrs Fabray didn’t even try to support her daughter, then just let he kicked Quinn out like that. Then all of suddenly had the power to kick him out, some mother she was...
I know everyone is talking about how bad Quinn's parents are, but can we take a second to give a round of applause to Carrol who not only took in her son's pregnant girlfriend but looked to be in complete shock that someone would throw out their pregnant daughter. She was always a good mother and even after they knew the baby wasn't Finn's she allowed Puck and Quinn to be in her wedding. She was an amazing person in the show Period.
This situation is not an easy one. Technically Puck is the baby daddy, right? Although, Finn stepped up because he thought the baby was his and there's a reason Quinn chose him. Yes the parents have a right to be upset, but kicking your daughter out doesn't solve anything. It only makes it worse for her and her future newborn. Until the baby is born, she needs a place to stay so making her leave home is not only wrong, but unsafe. #Glee
I never noticed how many ppl from Glee came in2 the Arrowverse. Obviously there’s Sebastian Smythe (I’m using their character names), Marley Rose, Quinn’s mom, Dave Karofsky, Blaine Anderson, Ryder Lynn, Will’s dad, and etc.
honesty I can relate to Quinn, my mom has always been scared to what my dad will do for every mistake that I made so she will pretend that she just knew about it and be on my dad's good side.
Jesus, what happened to this show? Scenes like this made it so good. Also the fact that her mother followed her das out of the room. I was SICK. And Carole is such a queen.
I’m a pretty religious person but if I ever found out my future child was pregnant I would never do anything like this they are your children and it blood you support your kids through there mistakes not throw them out yeah it’s against your beliefs BUT ITS YOUR CHILD and it’s there mistake that they have to live with but you can support them and help them through it ❤️
Quinn reminds me of Helga from Hey Arnold because they're both popular at school and are bullies because their home lives are absolutely shit they're both constantly compared to successful older siblings, heavily neglected, unable to express their emotions due to their home lives, and take out all that pent up emotion on other people
I hate it when characters pull the “I don’t recognize you” card during an argument. That is the child YOU raised, the child you are responsible with PROTECTING. Quinn made a mistake because she was raised to believe that every problem can be brushed off and ignored til the end. She didn’t even conceive the baby sober or in her right mind-it was as much Puck’s mistake as hers. If she stepped over her family home’s threshold fearing for her life and safety everyday after school, then her parents clearly weren’t fit for the title.
i'm a teenage mum as well and quinn's storyline was so bloody heartbreaking for me, even though our situations are drastically different. i had my baby at fifteen and he'll be two later this year. while his father didn't stick around like finn was prepared to, we're living with my boyfriend, who's been there for us for a long time and who loves my boy almost as much as i do. i don't really know how i feel about quinn's story, as it's a bit unclear as to whether or not she genuinely wanted her baby back with good intentions, but it was heartbreaking nonetheless, for both quinn and the baby's adoptive mother who likely loved the baby just as much.
I wish we got another scene with Quinn’s father. Wether it be him forgiving her or still mad at her. Just a final scene to see what happened in there relationship
Just heartbreaking. He prides himself on Christianity but he fails to understand the concept of forgiveness, especially considering how guilty and regretful she feels about it.
The mom to had to have known when she tried on Quinn's dress, acting like she didn't know. But the dad, what a jerk. If that was me as the mother yes i probably would have been a bit angry and maybe surprised. But at the same time i would have been supportive and helped with the baby.
I literally cried during this because Quinn definitely does not deserve this her dad is a horrible father and husband it was very wrong of him to throw his own daughter out of the house and the mom didn’t even do anything which honestly made me really mad because she could of defended Quinn but didn’t. I Love Finns Mom she was so nice and genuine we need more Moms and dads to be like Finns mom!!!!! 😢😭
This scene makes me wish I could tell Quinn she was going to be okay and give her a hug the way she sounds younger when she started crying is so upsetting
I have three kids and no matter what i would always be there and support them. If any of my kids get someone pregnant or my daughter gets pregnant I will be there for them. No matter what I will always be there
Love for your child is unconditional. When you have a child you sign up for the possibility that they might come to you with some dumb shit like this. Also it's not like they were poor they could've helped. Also maybe if they bothered to educate her rather than stick her in a celibacy club she would've been fine
@@samtsang4682 don't get me wrong teen pregnancy is a serious thing and I'd be very disappointed in my child (bc I would've educated them), but I wouldn't call them a disappointment. In my eyes if your child is a disappointment then so are you bc you were the one that failed at parenting
I had a pregnancy scare this year and I told my mom about it and she was alittle mad but then she was accepting it that she goes your b/f and you have been together for almost 5 years I am happy that if your pregnant I am so happy yes I will get mad but I will be accepting it cause that would be my first grandchild and it good that I can come to my mom to talk to her about that kind of stuff :) sad to see quinn not have a mom to back her up it makes my mom a saint :) so lucky to have her in my life

I love how fins mom didn't even asked why she just said that it was ok for Quinn to stay with them and she knew that they really didn't want to talk about what happened with Quinns parents
I dont really understand, how this looks for Finn, like what could he do, to prevent from happening. Like the reaction of the parents it's like insane for him. 😂
Quinn’s father standing up and walking closer to her was so particularly evil of him. She asked him to hold her, he gave her a moment of hope when he paused next to her, and then just ripped it away from her. It would’ve almost been better if he just continued sitting in the seat. Louise Mills Maybe so, but I’m mad then feel sorry at that moment.
But Mrs Fabray didn’t even try to support her daughter, then just let he kicked Quinn out like that. Then all of suddenly had the power to kick him out, some mother she was...
Quinn has gone through so much throughout this whole show like wow
#Glee
I think Quinn's dad is horrible. Her mom should go back to her ex-husband the calculator and spend time with her older daughter, felicity
Zachary Vargas I KNEW SHE LOOKED FAMILIAR!!!!!
Arrow!!!
Wait hold up....
Quinn has a sister.
Yes, Frances "Frannie" Fabray
I've never seen more rants on anything but glee
At least Finn's mom is sweet.☺
Diego S. Betanzo Agreed.
I love Finn's mom 😿❤
She is so sweet
honesty I can relate to Quinn, my mom has always been scared to what my dad will do for every mistake that I made so she will pretend that she just knew about it and be on my dad's good side.
Jesus, what happened to this show? Scenes like this made it so good.
Also the fact that her mother followed her das out of the room. I was SICK. And Carole is such a queen.
Quinn is the only person on the show that made me cry.
I just realised that Quinn's dad played Mitchum, Logan's father from Gilmore Girls. Good actor, he seems to always play the asshole.
This is the Cooper family
Oh you mean because Betty's parents sent Polly away to the Sisters of Quiet Mercy because of her pregnancy. Yeah it's the same thing with Quinn🤰
@@nadimabbas4093 lol the Riverdale writers copied that storyline from here since glee came out earlier
Yeah kind of because the dad is the same actor who played Hal cooper on Riverdale
Is honour and marital values really more important than family?! No it's not!
I hated this scene so much. Who throws out a scared pregnant teenage daughter??
Unfortunately a lot of people do
“I just need my daddy to hold me and tell me that it’s going to be ok” my heart hurts 🥺💔
Quinn breaks my heart in this so much💔
what is this piano music at the end its so beautiful
so random, but so true!
I’m a pretty religious person but if I ever found out my future child was pregnant I would never do anything like this they are your children and it blood you support your kids through there mistakes not throw them out yeah it’s against your beliefs BUT ITS YOUR CHILD and it’s there mistake that they have to live with but you can support them and help them through it ❤️
*Exactly right* Everyone makes mistakes.
Quinn reminds me of Helga from Hey Arnold because they're both popular at school and are bullies because their home lives are absolutely shit they're both constantly compared to successful older siblings, heavily neglected, unable to express their emotions due to their home lives, and take out all that pent up emotion on other people
His speech would have fucked me up. Quinn is a strong woman
“I’m your daughter, who loves you. And I just need my daddy to hold me and tell me everything’s gonna be ok.”
*walks away*
wtf
I wish we got another scene with Quinn’s father. Wether it be him forgiving her or still mad at her. Just a final scene to see what happened in there relationship
Just heartbreaking. He prides himself on Christianity but he fails to understand the concept of forgiveness, especially considering how guilty and regretful she feels about it.
Quinn looks so sweet
The mom to had to have known when she tried on Quinn's dress, acting like she didn't know. But the dad, what a jerk. If that was me as the mother yes i probably would have been a bit angry and maybe surprised. But at the same time i would have been supportive and helped with the baby.
Still can't believe Finn thought she was pregnant when they clearly never had sex 😂😂
i feel so bad for her tbh
god finn and his family were so good to her. she didn't deserve anything she got in this episode, good or bad
Yo the acting in this scene is pristine. Sometimes glee isn’t that great but scenes like this are not the reason.
my dad would be disappointed but he would never he would hold me in his arms. my mom would be helping me through it all.
This scene makes me wish I could tell Quinn she was going to be okay and give her a hug the way she sounds younger when she started crying is so upsetting
Such good acting
I have three kids and no matter what i would always be there and support them. If any of my kids get someone pregnant or my daughter gets pregnant I will be there for them. No matter what I will always be there
I cant with the guilt tripping from her dad. My heart actually breaks for her
Love for your child is unconditional. When you have a child you sign up for the possibility that they might come to you with some dumb shit like this. Also it's not like they were poor they could've helped. Also maybe if they bothered to educate her rather than stick her in a celibacy club she would've been fine
And he called her a disappointment because she made a super common mistake
@@samtsang4682 don't get me wrong teen pregnancy is a serious thing and I'd be very disappointed in my child (bc I would've educated them), but I wouldn't call them a disappointment. In my eyes if your child is a disappointment then so are you bc you were the one that failed at parenting
I had a pregnancy scare this year and I told my mom about it and she was alittle mad but then she was accepting it that she goes your b/f and you have been together for almost 5 years I am happy that if your pregnant I am so happy yes I will get mad but I will be accepting it cause that would be my first grandchild and it good that I can come to my mom to talk to her about that kind of stuff :) sad to see quinn not have a mom to back her up it makes my mom a saint :) so lucky to have her in my life
Quinn's dad cheats on his wife a couple of times, and then has the audacity to kick Quinn out.
Quinn can't even tell the truth about who her baby daddy is
I need for her to lower that eyebrow
Funny because fin was willing to step up and be a dad because he thought that he got Quinn pregnant when puck was the one that got Quinn pregnant and Quinns dad cheated on her mom in my book Quinns dad was just a scum bag and fin was the better man . I love how fins mom didn't even asked why she just said that it was ok for Quinn to stay with them and she knew that they really didn't want to talk about what happened with Quinns parents
I get why they are angry but kicking her out is a bit much and this is coming from someone who isn't a big quinn fan.
The actor who plays Quinn’s dad I’m getting the same energy from Gilmore girls when he played Logan’s dad
Poor quinn. Her parents were so mean :(
That’s the reaction my dad would have. I’m 21 and I’m scared to death every time my period might be even a day late..
1:43 that broke my heart
I dont really understand, how this looks for Finn, like what could he do, to prevent from happening. Like the reaction of the parents it's like insane for him. 😂
Carol sure was the best side character on Glee
You know it's good acting when you wanna cry
what does that story about her being at the baseball have to do with anything skskskskksks
Mitchum Hunsburger is that you?
Finn's mother is so understanding
Quinn’s father standing up and walking closer to her was so particularly evil of him. She asked him to hold her, he gave her a moment of hope when he paused next to her, and then just ripped it away from her. It would’ve almost been better if he just continued sitting in the seat. That part was really hard to watch.
2:05 SO CUTE!
and poor Quinn
Finn’s mom was the best
