The fact that she abandoned them and then showed up just to take one of them away just shows how careless she is for not being there when they needed her.
I noticed she wasn't trying to be mommy to all them kids. Just the shiny new one who doesn't remember her mistakes.

My biological mother tried to do the same with me and my younger brother. She dropped us off one day but came to my elementary school to kidnap me because she didn’t want my brother. She only had him to baby trap my dad and she didn’t want a “special” kid.

“Carl made something blow up” its literally the smallest things and fiona takes pride in it. She was so proud of all the kids including so many flaws. Fiona was so underrated even tho she had a drastic downfall, she deserves the love she gets for her character.

@@musadeldaly2732 fiona kept breaking parole, she got arrested because liam got into a bag of coke she left out during a party, and the coke was from her bosses/ex boyfriends brother (who she fucked in her boyfriend’s house) she had a stable job making more than the family ever did, she threw it away for the bosses brother. Then while on house arrest she went back to the brothers house and went on another bender. All while abusing alcohol.

Fiona was a good parent up until debbie hit 12. I know Fiona never got to grow up but she also did alot of harm to other people including Liam, every man she ever dated, debbie, and Carl. She checked out and was basically like,"it's not on me anymore" she was forever itching for a way out

0:56-1:10 This was such a perfect line from Sheila, I loved her so much but that really showed that Monica didn't even think about her kids until they were pointed out to her.
Fionna was put through the worst type of hell and on such a massive scale...she raised her entire family and once Monica was gone again she still came back and did her best.
Actress that plays Fiona was robbed of an Emmy and Golden Globe SO many times. The whole show was. Such great performances 🤦🏾♀️

3:30 you can hear the child like pain coming from Fiona's voice and it you realize that Monica was worse than frank because it's her name that turned frank into what he is and abandoned her kids and Fiona is the one cleaning up behind her nonsense
REALLLL. frank was in college when he met monica, granted he hated it and was looking for a way out already so it was easier, but if he never met her his life would've been drastically different

Can we just appreciate Emmy Rossums acting here for a moment? Everything about this scene was great acting from her and powerful. But props for the scene when she matches Chloe Webs face when she starts to cry. It really sells it that Fiona and Monica are related with the similar facial expressions when they cry. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Monica literally pulled on Debbie’s and carls heartstrings to make them feel bad for her. They are literally kids is this scene. They probably thought that this time something would change and that Monica would finally be there for them. And It’s pretty easy to forgive someone when you have no real memories of that person. God this scene makes me depise monica and makes me feels so bad for Debbie and Carl

Frank was the father when they did the DNA test which doesn't help Liam because Frank is an awful father but that makes Monica a bad mother. All of those things Fiona listed off that the kids did, she acknowledged the fact that it was THEM who did it. Not her, them, they did it themselves with more help from Fiona than from Monica. Notice how Fiona is a grown adult taking care of all these kids, Ian is crying his eyes out because he doesn't know what to do or think, Lip is as pissed as Fiona and despite the fact that Debbie and Carl did hug their mother when she asked to be their mommy again, they immediately pushed her off if it meant losing Fiona. Because they look up to her, they have a role model and it isn't a great one because Fiona fucks up more than a few times but she has always tried to put the kids first, nobody can fuck up as much all of those kids biological parents. It seems like they both really do care for their kids but when it gets hard, they leave or get drunk, or do drugs. It's bs, I'm glad Fiona raised all of the kids because in the end, they all turned up amazing.

Poor Fiona she was never been taken care of she took care of her all of her siblings and her father all by herself when she was 9 years old that’s sad frank should be ashamed of himself for being lazy and ungrateful also Monica should just leave and never come back because she has officially failed Fiona,Lip, and Ian for missing the rest of their childhood and doing the same thing to Carl Debbie and Liam.

It's very telling about how much Debbie and Carl depend on Fiona to keep them safe because when they first hug Monica they know Fiona is there to bail them out if it goes tits up. The second that Fiona leaves they duck out of the way when Monica tries to touch them

The earlier seasons of Shameless were amazing because of scenes like this.
Monica and Frank were literally horrible parents. Fiona raised them kids all by herself. She was their mother, sister, protector more than anyone.
Monica deserved nothing but the terrible karma she earned. She was a POS.
Parentification is CHILD ABUSE. Based on that alone, Monica shouldn't be left within a country mile of ANY child, much less her own. Monica should be locked up for the rest of her life.

There’s so much in this scene. The moment they knew she way around everyone was like I know where this is going. Then the Fiona going in cause she stepped up to be a mother to the kids, then letting the last shred of the little girl she was out to get burnt away… it hit different

Honestly the writing of shameless is just perfection, the best drama show I've seen through all 11 seasons
“I’m here now” that doesn’t excuse the abandonment she put through her kids. Fiona did all the work when she was only 9 years old, helping her family, being a mother when she was supposed to be a child. No child should go through that. Drug abuse, parental abuse and neglect, addiction, etc. I could go on and on with how it isn’t fair. Those kids shouldn’t have gone through that. Monica showing up one day just because she wants to start another family with someone else, go adopt? Don’t go back to the house thats full of trauma, addict, and neglect. She left her kids because she’s a shitty woman. But I’m happy that Fiona got her happy ending at the end of ‘Shameless’. But to be completely honest and fair and we can all agree, she deserved better from the very moment she was born.
Emmy Rossum did a beautiful job here. Anyone remember that part in Look Who's Talking where Jimmy asks Mikey's bio dad "OK, if your the father and that's your kid, maybe you can answer a few questions for me.." then the guy couldn't answer any of them except the birthdate? That's what I would have liked to see Fiona do. Then, when Monica wouldn't be able to answer anything, Fiona could say "You're not a mother. Your just an egg donor. "

This scene was done so so well. When she says “you were my mother too”, the way they mimicked each other while processing that statement, that curl into oneself with the body and face, that really reiterated the point that Fiona is Monica’s daughter

When Fiona punched her mother’s dead body in the open casket seasons later…I felt whatever Fiona felt that moment. Emma was phenomenal playing the role❤

Lowkey this show was a lil disappointing after this scene. Hear me out she pointed out all the sibling accomplishments and fast forward to mid series Debbie rapes a guy then has a kid with another dude, Lip kicked out of university and became an alcoholic, Ian has bi polar disorder and becomes AWOL never to go back to the military, Fiona dips after selling out what was left of her real estate life, Carl is I guess the only one to have a nice outcome joining the police but had his ups and downs like how he was part of a gang. I thought the show would’ve gone a different route but I guess I still enjoyed it

its soo f'ed up how soo many people wanna adopt and take care of young children, that many people feel the need to inforce adoption by ethnicity, and on top of that shame them like recent news with the football player.... pretty sad

Soooooo, I watched this show and literally lived this love, but reverse with parents wise. And after this episode I chose to not watching, the writing is amazing but it hit way to hard and how I grew up, and I personally just could not deal. Still makes me cry and hurts. Great show and sure got better but I just personally couldn’t
