Sue: "And CUT! Fantastic. I got--- oh, no, damn it! My finger was over the thingie. I didn't get any of that. Come on, Becky." Becky: "That was really sexy." 😂😂😂
I never watched the series (except for the episode with Neil Patrick Harris) but I'm pretty sure that Sue pressed stop on the camera when the teacher started calling bullshit on the girl. (my opinion) BWF
I noticed after season 1 Quinn did a lot of whinging of what she used to be: I was the prettiest, I was the head cheerleader, I was Miss Popular blah blah blah. It bugged me because the reason she lost those 'important' things was because she cheated on her boyfriend with his best friend and got knocked up! It was her own damn fault and she kept trying to blame others and sound like the victim! So glad Will called her out here, she really needed to hear that! Luckily Quinn got better towards the end, er despite an odd moment where she hooked up with one of her college professors.
Plus didn’t she gain all those back in Season 2 despite all that happened in Season 1? She quit Cheerios on her own stance in S3 and gained back her popular status in S2 and was nominated for Prom Queen twice. Sounds like Quinn is just trying to stir up pity for herself
Jameelia Moonrise it does in season 2 she was allowed to rejoin the Cheerios (even though by force #Bribary) that similar action in season 1 for the yearbook photo was for the goodness of her heart. Once the glee club had her back Season 1b she was more positive compared to the majority of first half. Season 2 she got popular again. But as full of vengeance and jealousy. In season 3 she did rejoin the Cheerios but had to quit because she was in a wheelchair from S3E14 I love Quinn to pieces this isn’t a dig at her, she needed positives and negatives she was representing a natural mean girl becoming a nice girl. Both Santana and Quinn were horrible to Rachel. Although Rachel often rivalled with many glee club members especially Quinn and Santana. Everyone was mean at some point. These characters were representations yet an interpretation at the same time. Santana and Rachel bonded during So Emotional parts of Season 4, 5&6. They made up in S5E13 with the song Be Okay In season 2 Quinn slapped her Rachel and apologised. Quinn also has a voice break when she roasts Rachel yet inspires her to write the song ‘Get it Right’. Season 3 onwards in when they are much closer. It’s a show about teenagers and adults shit is about to get real
"Mercedes even let you live at her house" I'm surprised the writers even remember that considering how they never interacted again after season 1. I will die mad about this.
There are very few times during the course of the show where Quinn did the right thing for the right reasons. I would say her most selfless act was to give up her daughter. She knew she couldn't provide for her the way she deserved. Also, she did help Sam and his family when his dad lost his job. Her and Santana also talked sense into Rachel when she thought about doing that nude scene. Quinn is a complex. Her parents failed her by expecting her to constantly be perfect and live up the standards her sister set. I think what she needed was some tough love. The Glee club was the only source of positivity and support in her life, and even when she treated them horribly they were there for her. As Mr. Schue said she needed to grow up.
Also don't forget when mercadise fainted because she was starving herself and quin helped her realize that it was wrong and stayed with her in the nurse's office
I really disliked Quinn’s character when I first started watching Glee but as time went on I began to relate to her and still to this day she’s one of my favourite characters on the show. I feel like she went through the most and grew the most.
I agree, people forget all the nice moments she has had with characters.. and honestly she has done SO MUCH for the glee club, like getting them a yearbook page and convincing MANY members to join back.
Am Lily she asked for his reaction tho. none of her problems were his or the glee club’s fault. and sometimes we need ppl to throw the truth at our face to make us see clearly
I wish they wrote her better after S3. She started shagging her married Yale professor like wtf? The real Quinn we saw graduate would respect herself too much to do that.
I love Will's face the entire time Quinn is saying all this his face is like oh bullshit we helped you more than you deserved which is true and then when he finally called her out on her bullshit she realizes that he's speaking the ultimate truth is priceless
I can admit Quinn has done some bad things in the past but she is So underrated! Her character just got forgotten in later seasons. Its annoying because (I love santana) Santana has done some horrible things too, but BOOM everyone loves her. Its a bit sad because Quinn is genuinely really sweet, for example, remember when Mercedes fainted and Quinn stayed with her and reassured her? People seem to forget these moments and hate her (not everyone) but when Santana does something bad everyone still loves her? Honestly, I feel like its because Santana is a 'favourite' character for a LOT of people so anything bad she does gets forgotten.
I mean he is pretty awkward like that whole thing of his insta caption being “ 👼😔👼” like that was fucked yo, I laughed at it but it doesn’t mean it wasn’t wrong
@@sara-vf5xz The storyline they did for Scheu was creepy but his versatility is incredible. To me, I grew up knowing him in his romantic heartthrob roles like Link Larken in Hairspray and Fabrizzio Naccarelli in The Light in the Piazza.
One of Will's best moments. To be honest, I was never crazy about Quinn. I always found her to be very selfish throughout the entire show. She needed to hear this and get over herself.
Zoeyy._. ??? Rachel is literally the one getting the most backlash mostly because the actress who played her is also allegedly a horrible person but talking about the show only Quinn was also super annoying
If only he'd said the "There's only one person in this world you care about and that's yourself" and the "Grow Up" line to Rachel. Don't look at me like that, she's needed people to tell her that just as often as Quinn has and you all know it.
I think what people are maybe not realizing is that Quinn was going through postpartum depression; I wish that they had shown how much giving Beth up had really affected Quinn instead of trying to have her ruin Shelby's life.
The thing is Quinn choosed to join glee club to have an eye on Rachel and Finn, then realized she liked it. It wasn't Mr. Shue's fault in any way whatsoever because SHE were the one to join. She screwed it up herself!
Am I the only one genuinely upset about this scene? Telling a student to "grow up" or to "act their age" doesn't actually help them, especially when it's not Quinn's maturity that was causing her to act out. But what bothers me the most is that Will acts as if Quinn owes him and the glee club something when it was never the club that was there for her. It was Finn, Puck, and Mercedes, and only the last one didn't do it out of duty. The rest of Glee didn't do shit for her other than let her be a part of the club, which.... isn't actually meaningful. But he conveniently chooses to forget that because he wants to hold onto the narrative that he is doing something more important than it actually is. Also, her blaming Glee club for everything wrong in her life? That's literally Sue's script, 5 seconds before Sue is telling her to say "what they rehearsed". Even if she did feel like that, she was only repeating what sue told her to say, and Will could see that. Quinn is a teenager who is going through a rough time and is trying to figure things out. Quinn didn't need to be yelled at. Quinn needed therapy. If Quinn needed a wake-up call, I doubt this is the one that helped her.
I love her the most, and I enjoyed seeing her character change. You can tell she holds so much anger but her priorities are weird, so she focuses on the only thing she lost that brought her a sense of control, being popular. I mean she's a former fat kid, from an abusive family that exerted huge amounts of pressure on her, she became a teen mom and ended up losing everything that is relevant to teenagers, her body, her popularity, her boyfriend, etc. She's rebellious, but probably has always been taught to be obedient and not show that anger. Everything she did was controlled by others, but by being top bitch she had control over the school. I think Schue is right, but also a bad teacher here. She is still just a child and in those previous years she had hugely traumatic things happen to her. Yes, she ultimately made bad choices herself and blaming Glee Club would not get her anything, but it's understandable. She's allowed to be upset, she's allowed to act out. Glee Club has always been an instable institution. There was pressure and gossip there too, and it was always close to getting shut down. No one there tried to understand her position, so I get why she would ultimately blame the Club, because in her eyes joining Glee Club was the point in time where everything went to shit. Her secret got out because of Rachel being nosey, she lost her good faith with Sue and thus her status as cheerleader because she chose Glee over Cheerios. ugh her character is just so interesting.
I think the dumb thing here about Schue is that he is just yelling back at her. I feel like if he was a good teacher he would have a better response to her than lashing out at her. He might be right about the things she's done (although we don't really know what happened between the s1 finale and the s2 premiere, we don't know if Quinn thanked Mercedes or not, how she acted around the glee club after that regionals, so it seems unfair to take the writers' lack of finishing that storyline and pushing it onto Quinn and telling her she's immature and rude, imo). But I still think it would've been more productive if he had taken the chance to stay calm, and ask her some (rethorical) questions. Something along the lines of "Isn't it true that Coach Sylvester kicked you of the Cheerios, but we kept you in glee club because we didn't think your state should interfere with your performances? And without Glee club, you would have never become friends with Mercedes, who took you in when you needed it most, right? There are things that have happened in your past that might haunt you, but you have a bright future ahead of you, as long as you could forgive yourself and the people around for the pain you've been through. And if that future involves the New Directions, we'll gladly take you back as long as you change your tone the next time you speak to me." Idk I feel like it would've been more productive.
Danae Schillemans I feel like she needed to hear it like that, because hearing Schue this upset is quite rare, and this way she would know that she fucked up (let’s be honest, Sue talks to her students much more inefficiently than Schue 😅😂). On a filmmaking note, I can see it as some catharsis for the audience who, at this point, are as annoyed with Quinn as the characters. She’s been sabotaging the glub, while at the same time finding a new accepting family with them, I feel like they wanted to truly hammer this point home. ☺️
@@candidesque6470 yeah, I suppose. I guess I just never liked him as a teacher much, and I feel like people often propped him up as such an understanding teacher. But often it was only in a situation where nearly anyone would've been sympathetic, like when Finn starts crying over Quinn's pregnancy, or when he's trying to get another year for the glee club. I think I would've respected him more if he would've been more understanding in this scene since he didn't have to be but still wanted to. But maybe I'm just more upset about the storyline they tried to give Quinn with this pink hair, grey clothing crap. It begins as a shock factor in the season premiere, probably to get the people on social media talking, but when it comes to why she changed her appearance so drastically they just have her hate glee club again? Seems kinda weird to me, as if they're missing an event that actually caused this like her dad coming back into her life, or a family member passing away. But maybe I'm just grasping for straws here because I feel like the writers' grip on Quinn's plot started slipping away around here.
Danae Schillemans Yeah maybe. I do believe that she was already somewhat influenced by Sue for a lot of her behavior. This is also right after Beth’s birth and the desire to reinvent herself after being the teen mom in the year before makes sense, especially for a teenager. I think that she has really complicated feelings of love and hate towards Glee. And it depends whichever she is feeling stronger, so her behavior flip flops. Particularly if someone new gives her a shot, like Sue does here ☺️ I don’t want to defend the writing, we all know it’s pretty weird and Quinn was absolutely robbed of good storylines, but I do like analyzing and making the best sense I can of it 😅 I also have conflicting feelings towards Schue. I’ve never seen him as a particularly bad teacher, looking back on it now, some things are weird (like Toxic 😂). Maybe it’s because the writers usually made his teaching effective, and in the few instances that he is wrong he learns a lesson. I think it also nicely teaches people that not everyone is perfect, and even authority figures can have bad days and be wrong, but that’s just my personal endless positivity 😅
SORRY ABOUT THE RANT. i dont really agree with mr schu here. he's a teacher. he's supposed to watch out for signs that might show something is wrong. in the first season we got to see a little bit of quinns family life. not only we saw her father kicking her out and her mother doing absolutely nothing about it , but we also saw some signs. like the drinking or her father authority not only over her but her mother as well. he also talks about her sister and how she was perfect and married a perfect christian guy. this was probably something that happened a lot, quinn being compared to her older sister. so she does what shes supposed to do. she is a cheerleader, president of the celibacy club and dates the quaterback. but, she loves art,had sex and liked a guy that her parents would probably not aprove of. i guess the reason she lied about who the father was, was not because she was selfish, but rather she knew her parent woul disown her and knew that out of puck and finn, finn would be a better father. so everyone finds out, she is a homeless 16 yr old. she knows she cant take care of the baby so she gives her up. even though her mother came back and divorced her father, she didnt know if that was gonna thing would be, since her father had the final word. thats not selfish at all. and in the second season she expects to everything to come back to normal and so the rest of the world. we dont see anyone worrying about her mental health after being kicked out of her home and having a baby at 16. and yeah whatever she cheats on sam, but in this show everyone cheats on anyone. she clearly was invested in finn at this point and he only used her to get back at rachel. when she tells santana and brittany "i just want somebody to love me", thats clearly a sign of someone that doesnt feel lovel by anyone, not even her family, and cant love herself either. i totally understand skank quinn. the thing about blaming glee club was probably she only going with sue's flow,as she did not really care for anything anymore, not that it was right of her to do so. but will yelling at her here is totally irresponsable. he is the adult. he should have seen signs that something was not right,as should emma and other school teachers. "grow up" really? quinn here was not in the right but she needed help, not a teacher yelling at her. not saying she was right to do any of the stuff she did. just thinking about where her motivations came from, and how she shold have been helped.
For those saying that Will was right, NO HE WASN'T. My mom is a teacher and when she watched that epiosde with me she said is a miracle he didnt get A LEAST suspended. Yes, Quinn made a LOT of mistakes, but the last thing u do for a broken teenager is saying stuff like this to them. Yes, they need a check of reality, but there are A LOT OF BETTER WAYS to do this, and thats NOT one of them.
I love Quinn but she really needed that. Although, to be fair, she showed a lot of appreciate to Glee in season 1 & directly said thank you to Mr Schue when he gave her a pass on the Glist. He must have forgotten 😏 but anyway, Quinn's behavior in that ep would've made it very easy to forget her good moments because she literally came for Mr Schue with Sue to destroy the Glee club....
Won't lie, Quinn had her flaw that needed to be called out but She was literally a kid in late teen, still in a High school. That wasn't a wake up call, that was him being not good enough to be a teacher, an irresponsible teacher
Kenneth Jones lmao no she’s was playing the victim card when it was all her fault just be cause she was acting like an egirl and shit doesn’t justified
I always wondered if this was one of Sue's twisted ways to actually help Quinn. By convincing her to be a part of the video, Sue got Quinn to confront Mr. Schue and in turn get confronted with her own immaturity, irresponsibility and selfishness. Sue knew Mr. Schue was the only one able to get through to Quinn.
Mercedes let Quinn in her house, YUP cuz Quinn’s parents kicked her out, she got pregnant at 16 with no supports of her family, had all eyes on her, everyone thought she was so perfect, her character growth was amazing.
Will had no problem yelling at Quinn who was clearly going through some problems but never got mad at Rachel for always putting herself before others and leaving New Directions to help herself, Will playing favorites once again Also Will says Quinn never said Thank You to Mercedes or the glee club Quinn let Mercedes watch her give birth, Quinn insisted that Mercedes had to be there because of how thankful she was and who was it that helped Mercedes when she was struggling with her weight? QUINN
That was kind of hot and true. Quinn was one who made all those mistakes, I didnt see anyone pointing a gun on her head said "Do It! Do it! Sleep with Puck!"
still don't know why rachel wanted to be quinn"s friend so bad if everyone else was tired of quinn"s bullshit and will was the only one who had the balls to stand up to her
alexander aldana because Rachel was always jealous of Quinn and always wanted to be like her. She was this pretty blonde cheerleader who had literally the perfect life and perfect boyfriend. And after everything she and Quinn went through in high school Rachel admired her even more because she's more humble now
Will was right to call Quinn out. I like her as a character, but one of her major faults is that she constantly plays the victim card. She refused to accept for so long that the only one responsible for her bad decisions and her unhappiness was her. Every time things don’t go the way she wanted, she reverts back to her default personality. It’s easier for her than dealing with her emotions and fixing her problems.
everyone's villainising quinn like she didn't get pregnant at fifteen, then get kicked out by her parents... she edured more as a teenager than most people go through in their whole life.
I mean.. what she said was kind true, if she never joined the glee club, she would never been in this situation. She would be the most popular kid in the school and she would have everything.
EFİ No. the fuck?! If she wasn’t a hoe and cheated on her bf and has unprotected sex she wouldn’t have become who she was. The Glee club was nothing but nice to her

Becky "whoa". 😂😂😂😂😂 Quinn really needed to her that.

@@amyclarke41 Your comment doesn't make sense.
In season 3 she did rejoin the Cheerios but had to quit because she was in a wheelchair from S3E14
I love Quinn to pieces this isn’t a dig at her, she needed positives and negatives she was representing a natural mean girl becoming a nice girl. They made up in S5E13 with the song Be Okay
In season 2 Quinn slapped her Rachel and apologised. Quinn also has a voice break when she roasts Rachel yet inspires her to write the song ‘Get it Right’. Season 3 onwards in when they are much closer.
It’s a show about teenagers and adults shit is about to get real
"Mercedes even let you live at her house"
I'm surprised the writers even remember that considering how they never interacted again after season 1.

@@c.hantel7716 when? for half a second when she came in the classroom with duct tape on her mouth?

Thank you at least somebody thinks that Quinn is not selfish!
I agree, people forget all the nice moments she has had with characters.. and honestly she has done SO MUCH for the glee club, like getting them a yearbook page and convincing MANY members to join back.
Yewh, Will may have been honest here but he was unprofesional and cruel, I've always hated him bc of this scene
Matthew Morrison is 100% terrifying when he's angry. He really creeps me out and scares me. What a great actor!
I love Will's face the entire time Quinn is saying all this his face is like oh bullshit we helped you more than you deserved which is true and then when he finally called her out on her bullshit she realizes that he's speaking the ultimate truth is priceless
will was my hero in this scene. Quinn really needed to be told to take responsibility for her own choices rather than blame everyone else.
BECKY IS SO ADORABLE
I can admit Quinn has done some bad things in the past but she is So underrated! Her character just got forgotten in later seasons. Its annoying because (I love santana) Santana has done some horrible things too, but BOOM everyone loves her. Its a bit sad because Quinn is genuinely really sweet, for example, remember when Mercedes fainted and Quinn stayed with her and reassured her? People seem to forget these moments and hate her (not everyone) but when Santana does something bad everyone still loves her? Honestly, I feel like its because Santana is a 'favourite' character for a LOT of people so anything bad she does gets forgotten.
exactly!
Honestly quin and santana are my favorite characters they both start horrible but you quickly learn to love them

If only he'd said the "There's only one person in this world you care about and that's yourself" and the "Grow Up" line to Rachel. Don't look at me like that, she's needed people to tell her that just as often as Quinn has and you all know it.
So we're all gonna pretend that Quinn never thanks the GleeClub members? Well if Will say it then...
I love her hair and make up like that!
If Quinn needed a wake-up call, I doubt this is the one that helped her.
facts.

When Becky’s reaction always gets me 🤣🤣
"That was really sexy" 😂😂 I love becky
“Oh damn my finger was over the thingie” 😭😭
Will doesn’t even bat an eye at the sight of Sue with the camera rolling.

I always wondered if this was one of Sue's twisted ways to actually help Quinn.
