Nice set up. How much better does this system sound than the JBL system Toyota offers in the Tacoma? Also, how much does this set up cost? Does it come with an amplifier upgrade?
Bought the $1800 oemaudioplus system for my 2017 4runner. Yes it was an improvement, just not worth $1800. Wish I had spent a little more and bought a proper head unit & got away from Toyota obsolete 2 ohm system & joined the 4 ohm club. Think I would have been more satisfied. They like to use the tired old statement its factory tuned for your specific model blah blah blah! Its plug and play blah blah blah. It's your money so do as you please just wanted to give you a heads up. Like I said it was an improvement. But almost anything would have been an improvement.
Can you just add the speakers? I don't want to go drilling or running wires, I just want a better sound, not too concerned about subs. Will it improve the sound much, or do I need to add an amp?
Can u just add better 6x9’s and 6.5’s and tweeters and get a decent sound? Im not looking to impress anyone i just would like a better sounding system. After owning my 2019 OR i am a little disappointed with the factory sound.
You saved money, trust us, the JBL system is frustratingly poor..I wish I had the non-jbl because it would have been way easier to upgrade components vs the rats nest
for the price of this system there are way better options that are vehicle specific and plug and play as well. you had to turn it to max volume just to get a little vibration from the mirror... honestly pathetic

Experienced this system in person. Absolutely amazing crisp sound.
How,would you describe the bass compared to other subs ? Maybe JL Audio w1 or perhaps w3 ?
Can I use the factory mount for a new set of speakers for the front and back?
Did all the panels go on back on like they should of im having trouble with the driver threshold its not going back on the way it should any tips ???
