This fan was tested in free air.
These tests were done with the engine running to achieve full voltage.
14.5v: 10% duty cycle. 1280 CFM (760 RPM). 1.25 amps.
14.5v: 50% duty cycle. 3200 CFM (1740 RPM). 11 amps.
14.5v: 85% duty cycle (full power), 5000 CFM (2580 RPM). 39 amps.
It's interesting how this fan produced significantly more air flow with less amps at 14.5 volts compared to 12.7 volts. These fans really like higher voltage.
The low 11 amp draw at 50% (3200 CFM) is very impressive.
CFM testing was done using an Aiomest AN-846A anemometer. Same one used by Fast Monty's Garage in this video: • How to measure the CFM... . The same fan area calculation methods were used.
