  • SPAL aftermarket brushless 16” fan 30107101
    Fan part number VA117-ABL506P/103A
500w brushless motor, 16” blade tip to tip, 16.5-17” hole, drop in installation 2.25” depth under mounting flange and 3/4” above mounting flange.
Running this on a eBay PWM+ generator 100hz, fan starts at 15% and full speed at 90%. fan shuts down at 98%. Here is some flow data on a HOWE dual core 1” tubes aluminum aftermarket radiator. Anemometer is only showing airflow and speed through this rad in my conditions and are not accurate CFM numbers.
    15% = 1.67amps/22.5w and 846ft/min
    30% = 3.72amps/48.8w and 1259ft/min
50% = 9.21amps/119.4w and 1771ft/min more air than flexalite and almost as much as procomp at 50%. Look at the wattage 194w brushed for 119w brushless and about 5amps less
    70% = 19amps/242w and 2302ft/min
    90% = 34.2amps/425w and 3109ft/min 35.1mph

@@cesarsaldivar8138 that’s alot of $$ lol. These things are normal $500 per fan with no harness or anything. They do move a good bit of air tho.

@@jonathanstansfield735 it’s worth it! I travel a lot to Baja California and the heat out there is horrible. No more overheating and AC works the whole time.

Thanks for these test! For a second I thought this was @dbarton since he does a lot of similar testing lol

no problem! I'm comparing this to a flexalite 16" flex wave brushed and the new proform 16" brushless low profile. The Spal clearly wins but they usually retail for 3x the cost.

@@jonathanstansfield735 Have you tried the Delta PAG brushless fans? Their 16" fan kit with adjustable controller, ECM and sensor goes for less than $500. Supposedly performs just as good as Spal.
