My dream of an alternate sequel series is that Rey is the child of Cassian and Jyn (who survived) and Chirrut trained Rey as a Force spirit, keeping an eye on her when she is separated from her parents due to Resistance/First Order conflict. Wish they'd given Rey just one scene like this before she left Jakku to make her skills apparent before they gave her a lightsabre! Something a bit more Arya-Stark-in-training. Oh well! Scenes like this are gold and I will cherish every single one!
Gareth Edwards and the writers of Rogue One knew so much more about Star Wars than the jokers writing the sequel trilogy. We've got a guy here who is a guardian of the Whills, a strong Force user who isn't a Jedi. The writers got so much right in this movie and even delved deep into Star Wars lore to pull this character out of the oblivion of material. One of my favorite Force users in Star Wars. It shows that the Jedi and Sith didn't own the Force, there were other people who knew the Force to a deep extent. This guy is blind, for Christ's sake. He doesn't use a lightsaber, just a staff. But he's so strong with the Force that he can literally see and do crazy things. THIS is Disney's path to better movies. Follow these storylines, like Lucas was going to do in his sequel trilogy. A guardian of the Whills, I love it.
Top stormtrooper lows in this scene: Honorable mentions: -Cant shoot a blind guy -Shoots another stormtrooper Coming in at #1: 0:51 Gets dust in his eye, even though he wears a fricking helmet.
While a stormtroopers have incorporated targeting computers and thermals in their helmet, the equipment is sensitive and getting sand on those sensors pr any other obscurity would be lile actually getting hit in the eyes with something causing this actual knee jerk reaction.
Imagine what he could have done as a Jedi-shaolin monk style, with Yoda's same level force control, a good vision and a lightsaber. Darth Vader would have been in danger my friends.
Llllll Naw “you underestimate his power” 😂 but yeah maybe same level but not stronger he is way too strong you forget his massacre dude did that without breaking a sweat
The fact that you can see the entire fight scene without anything getting up closer roughly cut is quite amazing. with rise of Skywalker I know firmly believe Rouge One is the best and most well-being of the Disney Star Wars films
i dunno if it is the same, but maybe donnie told them to shoot it like how jackie chan does it. Instead of cutting in between every shot, they play out the whole scene and make the fight more real. Good thing about this is that the shots look better and more realistic. Bad thing, it is time consuming and if the actors are not skilled, they either can fck it all up or accidentally hurt each other since they cant control their strenghts.
People who watch this and think it's badass but haven't seen any other Donnie film or fight don't know what they're missing. This serious pales in comparison to a vast majority of his other fights

At 0:39, Chirrut smacks the Stormtrooper's gun as he's about to fire causing him to hit the trooper behind him. Although the timing does seem just a little bit off.
who are you darth vaders intern or Donald trump.
i love how he didnt kill any of them and even asked if his foot was alright... dude was more a Jedi than Luke in my opinion... pure badassery
The Empire is lucky he doesn't have a light saber
Cassidy Petersen even if he did, the empire still has Vader. chirrut wouldn't even last 3 seconds to Vader
SuperDerek TV yeah, cause he's blind, but if he's not, maybe he is even better than vader
AssassinHitto He's clearly a more skilled fighter than Vader. The only reason Vader would defeat him relatively easy is due to his force abilities and size advantage as well as better equipment,
He'd be unstoppable in a Lightsaber duel
Juan Cena | THE CHAMP IS HERE that's probably because donnie yen is actually a martial artist so his fight scene looks like an actual fight and not the spinning garbage of the usual lightsaber fights
Storm Trooper 1: He’s blind..
Storm Trooper 2: Is he deaf?
(Beats all the storm troopers up)
Storm trooper 2: ...(beaten up on the ground face down)...are you sure he’s blind?
Storm Trooper 3: ...(laying on his back) Join the empire...see the galaxy...visit different worlds....BULLSHIT!!...I must of missed the fine print where it says “there might be blind guys that can kick your ass up and down an ally.”
I love the way they showed the force in this film like it’s something divine.
Saw this in cinemas, just seen the Ip Man trilogy and had to come back. This guy's martial arts was one of the most refreshing characters in Star Wars
Hell yeah
The director had to protect the talentless jedi master actors. We all know that Donnie is the real talent and if given a lightsaber would render the jedi 'masters' a joke.
"Is your foot all right?"
I'm not sure why, but him delivering that line in the middle of fighting blind cracks me up! XD
And then they blindfolded him
Who knew Cane came from a different universe and is thousands of years old.

The Toph of Star Wars
Cassian: It’s so dark, I can’t see a thing.
Chirrut: OH NO, WHAT A NIGHTMARE!
Cassian: Sorry.

Beer van Buuren, I was WAITING for this comment! Yaas! Indeed Toph.

I forgot this dudes name and he still has better character development than Rey did in three movies
He’s Chirrut btw.
I like Baze and Chirrut
I agree with you 💯
Couldn’t stand fin or Rey. The dude though he was cool Baze and chirrut are sick!
His name is Chirrut
“Your almost shot me”
“Your welcome”
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHA
The way they both delivered those lines was pure comedic gold.
This guy made the Force feel magical and mysterious again.
Imagine if Chirrut had been around to train Luke.
folklore19*obi wan gives Anakin's lightsaber*
Luke: NO f**k that I'll use a staff
He would train more Wing Chun than Force
My dream of an alternate sequel series is that Rey is the child of Cassian and Jyn (who survived) and Chirrut trained Rey as a Force spirit, keeping an eye on her when she is separated from her parents due to Resistance/First Order conflict. Wish they'd given Rey just one scene like this before she left Jakku to make her skills apparent before they gave her a lightsabre! Something a bit more Arya-Stark-in-training. Oh well! Scenes like this are gold and I will cherish every single one!
What’s more embarrassing than getting beat up by a bunch of teddy bears in return of the Jedi?
Getting beat up by one blind man with a stick
A force sensitive monk with a staff capable of delivering blunt force trauma that bypasses armor, as with other staves.
To be fair he did train Bruce Lee
@@rusty7984 actually the real Ip Man was born in 1893, and Bruce Lee was one of his students. Donnie yen just acted as Ip Man

I know just making a joke still tho dont sleep on Donnie Yen dude is a beast
@@rusty7984 oh alr then :)
It’s amazing to see how he wipes out the stormtroopers. The details in the helmets breaking. This scene was amazingly crafted
“I want to fight 10 men.”
The stormtroopers never stood a chance against IP Man.
I like how the villagers in the background instantly start raiding the x-wing when the stormtroopers become distracted XD
M 17 gotta scavenge by any means necessary
Went inside the market for five minutes, came back out and saw my speeder was on cinderblocks.

same lmao, i'm now a die hard donnie yen fan
"You almost *shot* me!"
"You're welcome."
best lines in the movie
Donnie yen is absolutely one of the best things you could’ve added to the Star Wars franchise
wait... did the stormtrooper at 0:50 get blinded by sand while wearing a helmet?
MrLeowzk maybe didn't want it to damage his visor, idk
MrLeowzk no not really but what he did was a normal human reaction.
Well it is course and rough
MrLeowzk Well, nobody likes sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating. And it gets everywhere.
No, but most people flinch when things get thrown at them even with protection.

Stormtrooper Getting Shot: AH! AH! AH! STOP SHOOTING!!!!
Stormtrooper Shooting: WHAT?! KEEP TRYING TO SHOOT HIM??! OK!!
Stormtrooper: AH STOP SHOOTING ME YOU TEAM KILLING FUCKTARD!!
I laughed harder than I should have about this thread.
One thing I love with thus scene is you can physically see the stormtroopers' armor breaking when the staff hits them if you look closely
My all time fave Star Wars character. The blind and the badass.
This scene and the final 5 minutes makes the ticket price worth every penny
I love that he does all this to save three complete strangers. It shows his compassionate nature.
Man, imagine being cast a stormtrooper in this scene. I would have loved to put on the outfit and get my ass kicked by Donnie yen haha
not a real jedi but better than any jedi saw since now
Yeah it's amazing how some blind Asian killing storm troopers with a stick is cooler and more entertaining than any of the fights in the sequels.
Donnie Yen + lightsaber + jedi status = unstoppable force
Cuz Donnie’s actually a trained fighter unlike other actors
Is force is along with him.
@@thegiftedfire3470 I like to think he was force sensitive but not a force user.
0:52
I like how he kicked sand into the Stormrroopers eyes blinding him for a brief moment.
Top stormtrooper lows in this scene:
Honorable mentions:
-Cant shoot a blind guy
-Shoots another stormtrooper
Coming in at #1:
0:51 Gets dust in his eye, even though he wears a fricking helmet.
While a stormtroopers have incorporated targeting computers and thermals in their helmet, the equipment is sensitive and getting sand on those sensors pr any other obscurity would be lile actually getting hit in the eyes with something causing this actual knee jerk reaction.
Gets knocked out after small kick in the head despite having that damn helmet. God these amours are so useless
@@mixererunio1757 he actually cracks those helmets so yes, they really do become useless
Plot holes
Years ago when I found out Fucking IP Man was going to be in a Star Wars movie, I literally cried. They did him justice also
If Chirrut had a lightsaber and more force powers, he’d be unstoppable
"Is your foot alright?" That gets me all the time
Imagine what he could have done as a Jedi-shaolin monk style, with Yoda's same level force control, a good vision and a lightsaber. Darth Vader would have been in danger my friends.
Llllll Naw “you underestimate his power” 😂 but yeah maybe same level but not stronger he is way too strong you forget his massacre dude did that without breaking a sweat
Probably one of the best choreographed fight scenes in Star Wars.
up there next to darth maul vs obi wan
Here’s the legendary IP man, and because he has the force, he always wins.
People who watch this and think it's badass but haven't seen any other Donnie film or fight don't know what they're missing. This serious pales in comparison to a vast majority of his other fights
he's already deadly with just a stick how much more when he wields a light saber
He has a staff, and it helps him walk around. I'd say he doesn't need a lightsaber.
Maybe vibroblade?
@@leftcoaster67 Yoda had a staff that helped him walk...he also had a lightsaber
Even Ip Man in the Star Wars universe is still fighting against 10 guys.
We desperately need more Star Wars content that’s just as amazing as this movie was, and still is.

Yes, he makes it look so easy.
Caine Blindman from John Wick chapter 4
I can’t believe they actually blinded him in both eyes for him to play this role, incredible
I was going to comment that Donnie should have been a Jedi, but I realised that the point of this is that he basically is!
He literally plays the exact same character in John Wick 4.
He would have made an amazing jedi knight.

This is a definition of, “Make ten men feel like a hundred”
The only time where you really see a martial art expert in a Star Wars movie.
A blind man in Star Wars and …
A blind assassins in John Wick.
This movie was a masterpiece honestly one of my all time favorites, i loved everything about it but Chirrut and Vaders halway scene were the highlights of this film much better than the last 3
I like how with Yen, the force is seen from the perspective of Dao and they treat it in such a similar manner. Really cool.
