To be honest, I've tried practically all of these types of behaviors in my life, and all people do is still look down upon me and disrespect me. And what's funny is that I've seen people who are literally the stark contrast of these 7 behaviors who earn way more respect and adoration from people than I do... 🤷♂
All I can say is just keep trying and eventually you will find people that give you that same level of respect back. Personally I can't stand it when I'm not getting the respect I deserve, but sometimes that's just a part of life. I'm not saying I'm happy about it, but it's a lesson we all can learn ... and I think Alpha M summed it up best when he described how to effectively be your own best friend even when others doubt you , but at this point, I'm just sort of paraphrasing.

When I think of respect, how a person looks, talks, dresses, grooms themselves, their financial stability, and their ability to take chances doesn't really play into it. If you're not in shape, I'm not going to think less of you. If you have a nose hair showing or your hair is messy, I'm not going to think less of you. How you treat others. Do you have manners? Do you keep your word? Are you respectful of others? To me, those are the things that matter. Sure, you can spend hours in the gym and sure, I might look at you and say wow, that guy looks good. Doesn't mean I respect you for it. Same with taking care of your grooming and dressing well. You can look nice, but that doesn't mean I respect you for it.
