5:07 The reason why the separatists can't do that is well the same reason why the republic won't do it. It is explained only a portion in some episodes. This is my second favourite arc in the series! I think the clone centred episodes were what made the show amazing! A lot of the episodes that involved the Jedi were good but the episodes focusing on the clones were amazing
I'm glad you are doing these reviews. It's been a long time since I've watched any of the episodes and it's nice hearing your perspective on them and my memories of them are flooding back. The whole Clone Wars series was fantastic and I truly believe you will grow to love it as much as many of the fans do. Enjoy and thank you.
The List is not bad, but I think there are some MAJOR episodes missing. So I took the time to write down the best episodes, that are not on your List (chronological Order). Trust me YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THOSE!!! Holocron Heist (s2 e1) + Cargo of Doom (s2 e2) + Children of the Force (s2 e3), Bounty Hunters (s2 e17), Death Trap (s2 e20) + R2 Come Home (s2 e21) + Lethal Trackdown (s2 e22), Hostage Crisis (s1 e22) + Hunt for Ziro (s3 e9), Kidnapped (s4 e11) + Slaves of the Republic (s4 e12) + Escape from Kadavo (s4 e13), Deception (s4 15) + Friends and Enemies (s4 e16) + The Box (s4 e17) + Crisis on Naboo (s4 e18)
Wastydest I gave him the official chronological list first. He was overwhelmed by it. I told him I could break the list down by arcs in mostly Chronological Order keeping to an arc flow. He asked me to make a recommended list of ones that were important or that I thought he would like. Really it was a choice between him watching some... no really most of the show or none of it. Greedo isnt really fond of the Prequel Era which is why it was better to go this route because the Clone Wars, by these arcs in my list, redeem that era. It is likely he will go back and watch the rest of the episodes later. I/we/you dont want him to not watch any and we definetly bo not want him to watch a little and stop midway which would probably happen if he was bogged down to watching all of it. Cad Bane is a cool character but the episodes he is in serve little purpose to the overall story of star wars. The Kenobi undercover arc is good but it is also resolved in show without wider consequences and there are enough other things that we know about for Anakin to distrust the council. The slave arc is pretty interesting but still not on the same level of importance things needed to be cut for the list it falls short.
Hey Greedo, once you have watched the series in chronological order, you must, you *MUST* watch the other minor arcs and episodes which you missed and weren't in the list. Especially the longer arcs. There are a lot of them and most of them are really well done, most importantly the "Gathering" and "Secret Weapons" arcs from Season 5.
Added to that, they also released two arcs comprising of unfinished footage about Anakin and Obi Wan travelling to Utapau and another arc telling about a Clone Commando squad called the "Bad Batch". The Bad Batch arc also reintroduces a character whom presumably perishes in of the episodes in the list, won't spoil the details. Also, if you want, read the "Son of Dathomir" comics after seeing the arcs about Maul. The final episode of that arc is a cliffhanger which the comic clears out.
SO glad you loved it and are digging the series so far. I binge watched the entire series about a year ago after realizing I hadn't seen any of the episodes for some reason but I didn't know about the order you're watching them in. I just went through them all starting with episode 1. Now I've been inspired to re-watch them all in the order you're watching them in, PLEASE keep doing reviews after each arc!! It's fun to see your opinion!! 👍

excuse Mr. Aguilar I have a rebuttal to your repeated statement. First off you included the Malevolence arc which contradicts your statements saying " Not important to star wars lore leave it off." Nothing in the malevolence arc is mentioned again. So you could have said " while that ark is cool and all it serves no purpose to the lore." But you did not leave it off. Also if you think that chronological order is all that matters then you should not have given him the list at all. About 95% of the arcs contain no connection to star wars lore. Do we hear anything about Ahsoka except for Rebels? NO!!!!! Explain to me Mr. Aguilar what ARC qualified to be in that list. Also in that list you gave him 60% of the show to watch. " Their are other things we know about for anakin to distrust the council" BULLSHIT. You know he hates the prequels yet the reasons for him to hate the council are either in episodes he is not going to watch or in the prequels. Next time think before you send a list. Also Mr. Aguilar you repeat yourself a lot. You just copy and paste what you said before to people who disagree with you stop that.
Brayden Zaja #1 I copy and pasted so that everyone who complained could see why because that was easier than making a video and trying everyone to watch it it is an effective way to answer people if I only make the statement once not everyone would see the reply. #2 Malevolence Arc is the worst arc in my List but it serves 2 purposes: 1. The whole point of Malevolence is that it is a Prototype of the concept of the Deathstar which is why Palpatine is agreeing with the council does not want anyone even anakin to find it. If Malevolence was successful the Deathstar would have been more likely a type of Ion Canon the idea of harvesting Kyber Crystals to create a massive beam weapon wasn't fully though out until later. The destruction of the ship put the weapon idea back to the drawing board a littlebit (even though they had a blueprint of how they wanted the deathstar too look) 2. It gives further development of Anakin and Padme's relationship which is further expounded on in the "Marriage and Politics Clovis Arc" in the movies their relationship is not well shown but the clone wars helps to remedy that along with many other things. #2 Kenobi Undercover was in my potentiel list but I worried that my list was getting too long as it was reaching 3 full pages. As I stated before, I originally heavily encouraged him to watch the show based on the chronological order on the website. He looked and it and was turned off. I knew i needed a list that broke it into smaller arc pieces focusing on what I know he likes, things that effect star wars as a whole and carry into the later lore, and things that fix the many problems people like hello greedo have with the prequels. #3 I told him about the Kenobi Arc today and encouraged him to watch it if he likes clone wars enough to watch the rest. #4 Ahsoka is in Rebels, Ahsoka trained Saw Garrera. Ahsoka converted Wedge and many others to the Rebel Alliance. Going back to Saw, the Onderon Soft War arc is an analogy of Cold War Middle East where we trained groups to fight the communists who later became terrorists. Without ahsoka's training saw wouldnt exists to effect the galactic civil war and likely would have died in the Clone Wars. I think there is yet still more to ahsokas story. I think the Mortis Arc provides us clues to the bigger picture of this ENTIRE series which will come to a head at the end of this new trilogy. What happened to ahsoka is tied to the mortis arc in a yet unknown way perhaps it will be resolved in S4 of rebels but even then that proves that ahsoka is an important character to the timeline since she and also Rex are intrinsically tied to the Galactic Civil War.
I think the way you planned this list out was a smart move. I love Cad Bane, but he doesn't have much of an effect on the story or universe (which is a shame, because he's such a cool and effective villain). HelloGreedo would have a hard time watching the series with a whole bunch of filler (even if it's really exciting or interesting filler). You definitely managed to pick out the more important arcs, and in my opinion, those are the best in the series anyway. He can go back and watch the others once he's already drawn into the series by the higher quality, more story-driven and impactful arcs.
With the DNA sample, it was Jango Fett's unaltered DNA. The Clones were altered to be more obedient and as a result had less capabilities than Jango Fett. The Separatists wanted the better, unaltered DNA rather than the DNA of a lesser Clone.
So pleased your enjoying it. It really opens up the mystery of the clone wars that obi wan talk about with Luke. I use to think when I was a kid "what where they like?" The best stories in this involve the clone as troopers and there side and perspective, even the odd jar jar fool around stories pad out jar jar as a character. And the politic base stories can be a tad heavy but help understand the war more than what just explain in ep 2 and ep3 so much to enjoy. It's gets stronger and stronger in season 4 and 5
I love seeing a huge fan of Star Wars discover this stuff for the first time! Like they’ve stumbled across a hidden treasure. It’s exciting to see this series through fresh eyes.
Took the plunge into Clone Wars back in 2015 after a lot of doubt and hesitation, and was surprised it became one of my favorite things in Star Wars. Keep these up!
Just watched it an hour ago and now you review it :D I also started watching Clone Wars in the chronological order after your video a couple of days ago!
Really glad that you're watching the series now, and I have an answer to your question about the clone's DNA. To understand this, imagine making a copy of a document on a printer. The original is still perfectly intact, and you have what appears to be a perfect copy of the original. But it's not. There are very tiny imperfections that are too small for a person to notice. Now, imagine you take the copy and make a copy of that. It maintains the imperfections of the first copy, but adds more of it's own. If you continue this process of making a copy of a copy of a copy etc., then you'll eventually have something that in no way resembles the original. That's why the separatists needed Jango Fett's original DNA. So they wouldn't have to work from a copy and the imperfections that come along with it.
This is also my favorite arc in the whole show and I'm just like you. I'm a sucker for these kinds of stories as well but that ok because that makes me enjoy it even more.
Seeing the clones getting screen time and stories of their own was what I appreciated the most during the show's air time. and the domino arc was always the part I remember the best and rewatch... damn! Now i have to watch the series again and thanks to the internet I have to watch them in THAT ORDER!?
Yeah man this is just the beginning on of my favorite ARC’S as well. Glad you are enjoying The Cline Wars and Reviewing the episodes. Can’t wait till you get to the best stuff. Your just scratching the surface 👍
Please keep doing reviews of the Clone Wars arcs! One of my favorite and most underrated Star Wars media. I'd love to see you review the 2003 Clone Wars micro series that was done by the Samurai Jack team. Its super stylish and badass as well.
One my favorites arcs from the Clone Wars!!! There are other fun arcs, but these are the best non-jedi focused episodes . Also, be on the look out the Second battle of Geonosis - "Landing at Point Rain" (there's an awesome mod of this battle for the classic Battlefront 2) and "Darkness on Umbara". These are some of the best war-focused episodes of the series in my opinion. Man, you brought back some memories... keep watching the series and I'll keep coming back to your channel :)
I know I’m super late but I never watched any of your reviews for Clone Wars and I’m really happy to see you talk about it. Whenever you brought up the prequels I always thought you would love the show because they’re kinda the prequels done right in a lot of ways. Glad to see I was right!
Make sure you watch the unfinished episodes - Utapau Arc - Bad Batch Arc These are episodes that were in the middle of production when the show was cancelled. Rough animation and voicework were completed and due to the demand for more Clone Wars were released on StarWars.com. You can also find them on TH-cam. Additionally, an arc involving a certain villain was adapted into a 4 part comic miniseries entitled Son of Dathomir and another set of arcs revolving around Ventress was adapted into the novel Dark Disciple.
Hey Hello Greedo as you watch more episodes take note of the clones modification to there armor . It will also help keep track of which clone is which. For example Five's has a hand print on his armor.
Hell yeah!! So glad your watching The Clone Wars. Ive watched all the episodes and loved them, your reviews are top notch too. Keep going, these videos give me something to look forward to.
I believe he left a few out, like where I think it was fives who found out and tried to tell everyone but was killed from troopers who forgot what a "stun" is
Hellogreedo thank you for still doing these recap reviews, im really interested to hear what you think of the clone wars and interested in the points you have to make, keep it up!
I just finished all three episodes. I haven’t watch The series in a while and it’s my first time watching in chronological. I decided to watch along as Hello greedo watched them. So far this is the best arc for me
the short episode length hampers this one a lot more than the rest of the series. I just wish we got more time with Heavy contemplating his place as a Clone.
I think the reason they want the original dna is similar in what we do in digital photography: we keep the RAW files to copy because details and resolution can get lost in .jpgs
This and Umbrea are probably the best star wars storytelling you will ever watch. Anyway, I love that you're talking about Clone Wars. I know most fans dismiss it because it's based on the prequels, but this series is so good that it elevates them, revenge of the Sith especially. As you get to later arcs you'll start to recognize alot of little stuff that didn't make since in ROTS finally click and have ah ha! Moments. I fully recommend watching ROTS again after you finish clone wars, it makes the whole movie more impactful as a series finale. Clone Wars makes ROTS have such more meaning. I never got emotional during order 66. Now I get water in my eyes a little bit.
This is great seeing you talk about these and I'm glad you're liking them so far. Please add Obi Wan undercover to the arc list though! I'm really not sure why it isn't on there. It's a great arc and it adds a lot to Anikan and Obi Wan's characters. It's Season 4, Episodes 15-18, but chronologically it takes place kind of in the middle of arc 11, so you could either watch it after or before arc 11. Either way works, but I think it's more effective to watch it after. Just my opinion though, ask a couple other people if you have too.
Kudos HelloGreedo! I look forward to watching you take on this journey I found myself on years ago. I watched the clone wars movie and felt dumbfounded... only to fall in love with the series in season 4 and have to binge watch all of it to get up to speed and then watch season 5 be the last... I caught on to rebels much quicker!
Definetly was not disappointed in the CW series. Happy you’re enjoying now, HG. Remember when it was proposed to be a live action SW tv series? It ended up perfect. Great animation. I was often amazed by how incredible it looked. There’s many more good characters to come.
Regarding cloning - in the one of the episodes (I can really recall the name) it was explained that they kept some of Jango DNA for black hour, while they were already making clones from clones. This led to severe deformations, such as 99 or The Bad Batch. So yeah, that's why separatists wanted original Jango DNA.

Jon Mercano yes!
If he ever talked about the knights of the old republic video game series if d cru
Jon Mercano For me The Clone Wars has been one of the best Star Wars material out in many years. The Force Awakens was the best Star Wars movie to come out since the OT but TCW is the best Star Wars material to come since the OT.
Indiana Solo
Imo Rogue One > TFA but hey it's just me and i still love both
TohDoh I understand. A lot of people do like Rogue One. I enjoyed what it was trying to do. I just thought the characters weren’t that well established. And I thought it was too much of a prequel and not enough of a spinoff. But hey that’s also just me. :)
The list is good but I would add the Obi Wan going uncover arc (S4.15-18), It helps to show why Anakin starts to distrust the Jedi.
dterribletwins YES
Indeed, those are not only good episodes but like you said, shows how Anakin started to trust Palp more than the jedi.
Yeah, that arc is amazing.
One of my favorite arcs.
Season four is definitely a strong one.
Fun Fact: the young clone cadets are voiced by Daniel Logan, the same person who voiced young boba fett in Attack of the Clones.

That is actually true.

Its such a good arc

Can't wait for your review of umbara and mortis
Nightsisters and ahsokas primary arc in season 3 are the ones I'm also looking forward to
Edit *season 5
My thing is though if he doesn't watch the waxer and boil episode he might miss some of the impact of the umbara arc
Achiever 579 you have a point
You need to watch the entire series in order to get the full impact of some things. Unfortunately that means drudging through the out of chronology and generally poorer quality (with some exceptions) early seasons to get to the good stuff later on, which in turn has increased impact if you are familiar with characters from their earlier episodes.
*SPOILER FOR ANYONE WHO HASN’T WATCHED THE CLONE WARS*
In the unfinished seasons of TCW, one of the seasons has some episodes where they find out that Echo is actually alive and being used by the Seperatists to learn all the Republic’s military tactics. Also, I think the reason they had to go after Jango Fett’s DNA is that during the cloning process, the DNA gets worn out and altered, proven through the Bad Batch story line which is part of the unfinished seasons, which actually involves them finding Echo. Therefore, if they go after the source, they can create something to destroy all the clones, not just with the strand of DNA that the random clone was based off of.
Stuff like this makes me so salty that TCW was canned. They had the rest of the season in development and everything!
Nick Couch this is cannon. There are 20 unfinished episodes that are canon.
Arry 20?
and dont forget Rex and Echo had an arguement that his leaving the 501st ending up joining the Bad Batch BTW
You're gonna absolutely adore Umbara man.
I couldn't agree more. This arc hits really close to home and makes me emotional for every moment (even the happy)
Man this makes me want to rewatch the entire series. I was 7 when this show came out and I watched every episode growing up. Now I am 16 and watch every episode of rebels.

It isn't horrible I just am disappointed that it didn't live up to my expectations. It is nowhere as good as clone wars.
Joseph Bobowicz It's not worth it. It's just disappointing. No ones ever dies, no lightsabers are really even used properly. It's suck doink
I think Rebels is basically the Disneyfied version of The Clone Wars, whereas The Clone Wars was a true labor of love.
Tj's world I was three when this show came out but I still remember some of the episodes especially the umbara arc
I knew he'd love this arc. It's so good. This show made me love Clones a lot more.
Cloning a clone would be like incest, it wouldn’t be a great outcome.
Brendan No, thats not true. Genetically seen there is no difference between a Clone and the original.
Eddiebert There is. The clones were modified.
Boba Fett Thats true. However cloning a modified DNA is not different to cloning the original DNA. So stealing the original DNA Sample really is kinda pointless...
Cloning does not work like normal procreation. Therefore, no actual incest
I mean if you stole a copy of the DNA they could change how they copied it, but having the original give you a blueprint for all clones regardless of how the DNA changed
They can't clone a clone , it will be deficient
I think they added something in their DNA code so they won't be able to reclone them
also had a shit tone of handicaps like accelerated aging and low independence.
Couldn't they just remove the defects? If they have the technology to alter it one way, should be able to undo it.
DNA isn't perfect, A copy of a copy of a copy and so on, would result in "errors", I guess that's why it's called a template.
And yes I just realised the clone Genetic material is modified afterwards anyway.
goldfishprime yes, but to do that they need the original so they know what to revert back to. Also dna is like way to big to store on a computer, I don't care what technology you have it's just huge.
***HELLOGREEDO*** Just make sure you watch ALL the arcs that were suggested! Also the Holocron Heist, Boba Fett stories, Obi-wan Undercover and Padawan Lost ones as well;) YOU KNOW WHAT ACTUALLY JUST WATCH THEM ALL HELLOGREEDO! ALL OF THEM ARE BLOODY GOOD!
Yeah and what about that episode where R2D2 and C3PO get lost in some random planet and get captured by a village of miniature aliens
What about when Jar Jar saves Padme and C-3PO from Nute Gunray on a giant underwater slug. That episode is a classic!
Well they are all better than forces of destiny and none of them were filler as their plot points carried on from each episode
5:07 The reason why the separatists can't do that is well the same reason why the republic won't do it. It is explained only a portion in some episodes. Like some people in the clone wars explaining that the jango fett DNA has to continued to be stretched to supply the clones for the army. I suppose they did attempt to "Clone the Clone", but most likely ended up being a failure since it's never mentioned up the idea of cloning clones. Can't beat the classics. Literally.
And plus they aren't exactly perfect clones of each other. If we had an army of Jango Fett's the Republic hell even the Empire would be unstoppable.
And even in the real world, cloning something with the same DNA doesn't mean it will look or act 100% the same as the original.
The domino squad arc really hits ya right in the feels
Roger Roger is my weakness
For your DNA question, I think it's because Clones are artificially grown from the sample, tainting the DNA the clones have a bit. 99 may have been a result from an experiment like. A clone from a clone's DNA and it messed up the whole process.
Another reason may be that a dead clone cannot give a good sample for the CIS as the skin decays after death.
And the fact that were grown so fast. Shorter lifespan, and "programmed" with orders and allegiances. "order 66"
I am loving these Clone Wars reviews. It's like watching the series all over again through your eyes (or helmet) ... Thanks!
If you enjoy clone driven stories, try the Umbara arc. Truly some of the best the clone wars has to offer, in my opinion.
I'm loving how you are going through this whole series this way. Make more as you go please!
Fives is my favourite
Baggs echo is cooler in my opinion but fives is still bad ass
Baggs fives will always I'm my Hart be the best of the domino squad
"CT-5555"
"My name is Fives"
"oh, it makes no difference"
"It makes a difference to me"
5's was the best.
Klocko Fett was this in an episode? I don't believe I have ever heard of those lines
Fives R.I.P.
This put a big ass smile on my face Greedo!
You have no idea how happy you talking about this arc makes me
SO glad you loved it and are digging the series so far.
Watch the Obi-Wan Bounty Hunter Ark (S4 EP 15, 16 & 17)
João Ricardo Shadowstriker Wastydest I gave him the official chronological list first. He was overwhelmed by it. I told him I could break the list down by arcs in mostly Chronological Order keeping to an arc flow. He asked me to make a recommended list of ones that were important or that I thought he would like. Really it was a choice between him watching some... no really most of the show or none of it.

João Ricardo he will.
I love these analysis videos that come out every so often, don't stop it's so awesome
Just watched it an hour ago and now you review it :D
I also started watching Clone Wars in the chronological order after your video a couple of days ago!
im so glad your watching this show! there analysis videos are on point!
I am so glad to see you enjoying the clone wars and hearing you talking about it!
It only gets better, man. I'm pretty excited for you tbh. When you get through with this series, you're going to be a changed man.
Thank you so much for the clone wars content happy to see you like it man
From one star wars fan to another. I'm glad you're giving "the clone wars" a try. There are a lot of great arcs in the series
I really enjoy hearing your opinions and review's on the clone wars I hope you plan to do more
keep up the reviews, I love seeing and hearing about people watching clone wars for the first time.
NOTE: ARC Troopers happens around one year after Rookies in the timeline
This is probably my favorite arc in the series
Just bringing up 99 made me tear up.
Rest in peace 99. The Republic needed more like you.
So glad you're getting around to this greedo. They are mostly all very good and cant wait to see your review of all of them.
This is also my favorite arc in the whole show and I'm just like you. I'm a sucker for these kinds of stories as well but that ok because that makes me enjoy it even more.
This is probably one of my favourite arcs in the whole show. First time I saw it, 99's sacrifice actually brought a tear to my eye.
I'm watching the series with the guide and I love the show so far and I love seeing HelloGreedo's opinion as I watch.
Seeing the clones getting screen time and stories of their own was what I appreciated the most during the show's air time. and the domino arc was always the part I remember the best and rewatch... damn! Now i have to watch the series again and thanks to the internet I have to watch them in THAT ORDER!?
he is going to beat it to the Umbara ARC
Yeah man this is just the beginning on of my favorite ARC’S as well. Glad you are enjoying The Cline Wars and Reviewing the episodes. Can’t wait till you get to the best stuff. Your just scratching the surface 👍
#SaveTheCloneWars
Please keep doing reviews of the Clone Wars arcs! One of my favorite and most underrated Star Wars media. I'd love to see you review the 2003 Clone Wars micro series that was done by the Samurai Jack team. Its super stylish and badass as well.
God I love Domino Squad! One of my favorite story arcs through out all 6 seasons so far.
Love this kind of videos keep it up!!
I remember watching rookies the night it aired and everyone talking about it the next day at school. Great episode
Like many others have said, it makes me very happy that you can share the Clone Wars experience with us. :)
Make sure you watch the unfinished episodes
- Utapau Arc
- Bad Batch Arc
These are episodes that were in the middle of production when the show was cancelled.
Rookies is my favorite one in the whole series :) glad you got to see it and domino squad!
Your reviews make me want to rewatch TCW in the order you're watching them in
Hell yeah!! So glad your watching The Clone Wars. Ive watched all the episodes and loved them, your reviews are top notch too. Keep going, these videos give me something to look forward to.
So glad you are finally getting into Clone Wars.
So far this is the best arc for me
Omygod its so exciting to hear you loving the clone wars as much as I do!
That last arc with 5's will really draw out some emotions
the short episode length hampers this one a lot more than the rest of the series. I just wish we got more time with Heavy contemplating his place as a Clone.
I think the reason they want the original dna is similar in what we do in digital photography: we keep the RAW files to copy because details and resolution can get lost in .jpgs
i love these please keep making these vids for every arc
I can't wait for your reaction to the Fall of the Domino Squad. It's not an arc, but still some of the most emotion scenes in the show
This is one of my favourite arcs for sure! Have fun watching the rest😉
Please keep doing these reviews. Love hearing your thoughts on this.
I legit cried when 99 died.
#BestCloneEver
I love how informative these videos are!
Watching him get so excited about Clone Wars is just so... cute.
5:09 all the clones have a 0.2% difference from jango. boba is the only complete clone
Definetly was not disappointed in the CW series. Happy you’re enjoying now, HG. Remember when it was proposed to be a live action SW tv series? It ended up perfect. Great animation. I was often amazed by how incredible it looked. There’s many more good characters to come.
Man, this makes me want to rewatch the show a third time. I forgot how dang good it was.
Great video as always greedo!
"We're just just numbers 99 , just numbers"
"Not to me.. to me. You always had a name"
Echo and Fives still have a special place in my heart.
Love these video's hope you do one for every arch and a final conclusion of your opinion of the whole series
This is some of the best content from the show
Rookies in my opinion was the first time in Season One where the show began to truly become great, it was such an awesome episode!
I dont know about you guys but I personally loved almost all Clone War episodes, even the droid mission with the green frog and the jar jar episodes
