@@JosephHoven-wy5te I mean, he kinda is a villain. Literal embodiment of the dark side of the force, killed his sister and attempted to kill his father, downright evil. He's a villain if I ever saw one.
@AdelineD-o6b Let’s look at your argument. 1. He is the embodiment of the Dark Side. That is not evil. Yoda was wrong about the Dark Side being unnatural. It is natural until someone uses it for their own power or wealth. When that happens, it drains the user of their life. 2. He killed his Sister. He was not trying to kill his Sister. 3. He was trying to kill his Father, because in human comparison, he was forty-fifty while his dad was at least 70. And before you gear up this argument, I know he wanted to conquer the universe, but I say, he wanted to eclipse the unnatural amount of light in the universe. Yes, did some evil stuff and he used the Dark Side, but Obi-Wan sliced off all of Anakin’s natural limbs (you know, his best friend) and let him burn on Mustafar, and used his ANGER and HATRED to get REVENGE against Maul, yet don’t hear you shouting he is a villain. So bring more proof next time please.
Pong Krell is S tier IMO. No villain in the entire of Star Wars gets the fans so goddamn heated than Pong Krell. Despite only having 1 arc and despite dying to clones, it was one of the best arcs in the whole show and those clones were the 501st... His showdown with the 501st showed his brutality along with the 501st ingenuity making one of, if not the best battles in the entire show. He's so goddamn hateable that I can't help but to utterly adore his writing. Goated villain.
He's also a great device for the story because it shows the viewer that the corrupting influence of the war is absolutely permeating every level of the republic. He's not some lone senate guard or clone trooper that betray the republic for money but a pretty respected Jedi master. I saw him as a symptom of the problems within the Jedi order that ultimately contributed to their downfall. Umbara in general was an insanely cool arc, it felt like an actual war movie and was so insanely different from the beginnings of the show which were very kid friendly. I also think these darker arcs in general really gave the feeling of the corrupting influence of the war
it's clear that pong krell saw order 66 coming long before it happened, thats likely why he hated the clones so much as he knew what they were ordered to do

wdym revenge of the sith ruined grievous the clone wars ruined him. the amount of incorrect info in this is astounding. 2003 mini series was literally made by george lucas, it was filoni that made him a joke. grievous wins a grand total of 1 fight in the show and it's in the massacre arc. nearly every other fight he straight loses, has to fight dirty (with that mon cala jedi, with eeth koth who he just uses his magnaguards when he can't kill him), or struggles to kill someone who's meant to be so much weaker than him (ahsoka twice). revenge of the sith and the mini series made him a tacticalmastermind and actually scary. he not only hunted down a half dozen jedi by himself but orchestrated the battle of coruscant and kidnapped the chancellor. the clone wars made him a bumbling dumbass who can't win against a 14 year old padawan
I think it's unfair to put Wat Tambor in C. He is much better than Nute Gunray. He is much more ruthless, sadistic and evil and actually does real harm. He uses twilek as living shields, he orders the bombing of all Twilek villages and even says the inhabited ones first. He also uses Echo as a living computer and tortures him for years. Basically, he found out the banking clan was lying or something and he tried to stop them with the help of Padme, and when he did, he made a deal with Dooku to make him the new leader of the banking clan. In the end, the truth came out and people only saw him as a villain, and the Republic attacked him, long story short, I'm pretty sure he gave his life so Padme could live. Also throughout the ark, Clovis tries to pull some moves on Padme which Anakin doesn't exactly love so Anakin hospitalizes him. Clovis also finds out about the secret wedding. Even though he had another ark about him, this doesn't change the fact that he's a C tier villain, he's not even that impressive.
