    Wonderful video. Your voice and the way you narrate are very calming, while still being informative. I like that you don't sound rushed but you don't just ramble like some I've watched. I also love to have felting videos on while I felt and I can guarantee that yours will be the most used. :-) Thank you!

    I am delighted to discover you! I have been felting for a couple of years with some success, but I see now how much better it will be to leave some air in the wool. Thank you for offering your extraordinarily excellent instructions for free. Your skill and your generosity are deeply appreciated. I can't wait to tell all of my felting friends about your channel. Thank you.

    I'm a beginner.. I learned a huge amount, especially about taking.ones time .. about leaving the air in at first, etc brilliant. Thanks for sharing

      That’s great! Yes I think finding that balance of felting the life out of something versus leaving the air in to sculpt and firm the surface layer only was a tough one to learn, but makes all the difference. So glad the videos could help.

    I always think of the way the fluffy areas tighten up without poking them like the drawstrings in the waist of pants. You pull one string but it brings all of the fabric with it...if that makes sense.

    I'm back & working on a face for a house elf instead of one of my forest dwellers. Good thing I can back up to follow up on doing this as you go. I already scrapped the first nose. I'm using the purple Spiral needle & Linen MC-1 in Linen for the skin tone. I'll share a picture on FB when I get done. Thanks so much! I'll be binge watching all of these tutorials when you finish them too!

    Hi I just subscribed to your channel. I've recently, like in the last week found heard about felting for the first time, ordered me a little starter kit with different colors of wool, a bunch of tools and extra needles and a bunch of other stuff and also I made a little fairy doll. All in the same week! I'm making my little fairy to go into my miniature dollhouse project that I'm starting. Do you have any tutorials on how to do the facial features on a very tiny fairy? I think her head is actually smaller than the gumballs you used to get out of the quarter machines. Everything else is done on her except her nose, eyes and mouth. Well she has them but I don't like them. I also need to find out how to make her wings. I would love to watch any of the videos that you have to help me. Thank you for your time. I hope you have a great day! Thank you.

    • @leightfootfelts
      @leightfootfelts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s great! Just keep practicing and for the tiny faces a hint of a nose might work better. Living felt has some great beginner tutorials. You won’t get much detail on something so small. The Waldorf style also doesn’t include faces so maybe check those out. Overall have fun! Stay tuned for more videos. I will go over wings when the witches are done. I will make it back to fairies. Love them!

      I'm just tossing my 2 cents in here. I've done a few tiny beings & getting faces in is tough... I agree on just a hint of a nose & mouth. Also there are A LOT of tutorial here on TH-cam for wings. I've watched at least 50! Our channel host here makes my ultimate favorite faces & also has a Face Book page you can see other projects by her. The channel here is new so stay tuned for coming tutorials & re-visit these when you're ready to do bigger pieces too. All bigger ones can be modified for tiny/small ones. Look at Living Felt for anything you could want to make. Also supplies. I got addicted to felting watching them all & every Weds they have new projects. Have fun but do your chores first. lol Time zips by while felting!
