I’m an intermediate drummer still getting into and the girl I’m into put me on this band, every song has a really unique and impressive drum line. Love that dudes work
what an incredible set! first time listener and already so moved and impressed by the musical talent and well crafted sound. The vocalist is giving Conor Mason from Nothing but Thieves level of performance!
My band opened for these folks at the Crawfish Festival in Columbia, SC and they brought stellar vibes! I have vivid memories of that windy, sunny summer day, sitting front row with my wife and neighbor, and the band was rocking out to "Chicago" and "August." We were smiling, bopping to the grooves, and it just felt blissful. I've loved and followed this band ever since. Smooth sailing!
I'm not remotely into this sound, but damn; this band is really talented; great voice; the guitar of the lead; the drummer, woah. Hope they make it. Pretty cool.
@@billywilliams2722 Didn't say I hated it. Just think and am of the opinion that we can recognize talent and passion even if it's not pertaining to a genre that we enjoy and resonate with. I just discovered this band thanks to audiotree! They are absolutely incredible. And their musical chemistry is off the charts. I love their energy especially the drummer’s. And every instrument was flawless and the singer is incredible - he reminds me of Jeff Buckley.
This band, this voice, this setup. Recently stumbled into these guys on Spotify and I’m so stoked Audiotree was already on their wavelength. Mahalos guys 🙏
the vocals always go CRAZYYY. The raw talent shining through just as brightly on a live set as it does in the band's studio recordings has me SO impressed. So much passion, who knew flipturn invented music????
My buddies and I saw them in October of 2021 with M.A.G.S (also amazing!). Watching Flipturn though, you can tell the passion, technique and love they pour into their music. I watch them and think, "holy shit these guys practice A LOT." Super refined. Great set.
Been a fan of Flipturn for a few years now since hearing August played by my local community college radio station here in Monmouth County, NJ. Dillon Basse has such a unique and powerful voice and the band is so tight. Love hearing some new music where the talent is so obvious and doesn’t need studio production effects to make them sound good. Way to go guys, so so happy for you! Hope your following continues to grow and one day you’ll be the musical guest on SNL! 🙏
These guys were utterly insane when we saw them open up for Wilderado. Vocals are crazy and the drummer’s energy is electric. These guys will blow up in the next 2-3 years
i remember coming across this band back in 2013ish through Lunar Vacation and a mutual internet friend who knew LV and they were doing local shows and fairs and now here they are doing big things like Audiotree. 🥺 so cool to see how far they’re going and how much they’re doing too at their age!
Whenever I see Audiotree and a band Ive never heard of... I drop everything and click on it, and Im blown away everytime. These guys rock! Such good musical flow.
What a great live ! They blew me away the first time I heard August in its acoustic version, but the vocalist really has a phenomenal voice, and the rest of the band is just as talented as well. This band is up there with Hippo Campus for me !
Such a great set from a fantastic band! I found these guys on Spotify about a year ago and have been obsessed with them. Have never seen them perform before watching this, as I’m getting prepared to see them live in Seattle in about a month and a half. I’m even more excited for the show than I was before watching this. Thanks Audio Tree and wow Flipturn you’re amazing!
Flipturn rules! I've been hooked since I heard Chicago last year--I would belt that song while stocking milk in the cooler. Props to Audiotree for the best live mixing!
i seen them live this past march after only hearing a few songs. they put on such an amazing show with incredible energy. i’m really grateful to have found them when i did. i love their music and i cannot wait to see them again this year 💓 flipturn my beloved
Wow! This is why I like audiotree. I see new bands, amazing talent, everything is mixed well, you get to see the band in their element. Plus, These guys NAILED IT. You've got a new fan. 🖤🖤🖤
I’m in love. I love audiotree for always introducing me to new music and this was *chefs kiss* Flipturn you are one of my new favorites and if you’re ever in the UK I am so there. Much love to you all xxx
It's so refreshing to hear a real band up and coming as opposed to all the garbage that's come out of the last 15-20 years. This band has been on my radar for about 2 years now. I really hope they continue this upward trajectory
HO LEE SHIT ! I wasnt ready for this, this morning. Lyrics, talent emanating from everywhere, and vocals good enough to convey the bad ass lyrics. I watch Audiotree and search for local bands across the country. Google makes it nearly impossible with thier search functions. Ill have to say “hmm is there a Salem in Wyoming? Then ill search Salem Wyoming for bands using multiple methods”. TH-cam/google algorithms are quickly tailoring to americas flavor of protecting monied interest at the expense of everything. american “radio music” has left art as we know it, unless you consider commercialization to be art, in which case: listen to a country radio hit, lyrics written by 6 people and sung by another. Music is borrowed at best. Overall, everything from the vowel placement in the chorus, switching the sound of vocal direction (ie: see my post below). We need more artists in america. Sadly, unless the EU defeats us in battle some day (fingers crossed), the middle class and art from the people is dead. You guys are truly amazing to have rose up from the ashes here. Please continue to change, adapt, be yourselves but learn the tricks of the rat (no offense to any good producers or the actual animal as theyre the best small pet animal for sure). Once you learn their tricks it will not effect your style negatively, it will only give you more tools to fight with. This is a battle for art in music, please continue fighting the front lines dudes and lady.
Here’s a little chorus i just heard yesterday. The syllable placement seems to be almost rap like, a trick lil wayne has mastered where he keeps the same chop going then it sounds as if his voice changes but instead its just syllable length meter change to sound more sped up, slowed down, excited, upset, etc. well heres the non artistic yet cool sounding creating by a team: I was just thinkin' 'bout that weekend out on Cumberland Lake And that one time in Baton Rouge when we made out in the rain Where we went chasin' fallin' stars on a hill at your daddy's farm Don't be sorry for callin' me up out of the blue I was just thinkin' 'bout you Oh, I was just thinkin' 'bout you

They sound superb live too, got to see them in Charlotte last year and the bass tone was out of this world
what an incredible set! first time listener and already so moved and impressed by the musical talent and well crafted sound. The vocalist is giving Conor Mason from Nothing but Thieves level of performance!
I agree and I also hear huge jeff Buckley vibes too
I hear hints of Tilian Pearson with some Freddie Mercury vibrato on occasion. His voice is so good.
Same, this played after Momma's video. Glad it did, instantly a fan now. Have to catch a live show now.
@@johnbis7999 you will absolutely not regret it. Best show we’ve seen in a while
@@atrainofthought99 That was my impression. Not quite the power that Jeff Buckley had in his high notes, but the same style and agility. So good.

I came to say this. Yes, very Jeff Buckley. Cool to see it. Not an easy vocalist to replicate or take inspiration from.
