Same thing happened to me, I can clearly find the Sims 4 Shortcut, but i cannot find the folder therefore I cannot get CC on this computer..

Hi, Darielle! I simply cannot find my electronic arts folder! I can only find the Electronic Arts - Shortcut folder

None of my Cc or mods are showing up , but it all shows up in my mods folder.

Hey there! I really need need to know something, if I delete my entire Electronic Arts folder and reinstall the game with a new folder, what happens to my gallery saves? Do they disappear or remain unaffected by doing so if I have sims and lots created with cc? I'd probably be unable to download them due to the missing cc content but I just want to know if they are saved in my gallery despite having deleted the folder. I'd really appreciate if someone replies. Thanks in advance!

Your a LIFESAVER! I got mad at my game (for something that was probably my fault lol) because just something happened, so i DELEATED my EA folder and i couldn't find it again! But omg girl you saved me with going to the sims 4 game thing and going to the folder and finding the EA folder too! like omgg. ❤❤❤ Nothing but love for you!!!

I have a electronic arts folder but the sims 4 folder is not inside that folder. It’s inside another folder called EA Application. And mods don’t work.. What is wrong :(
my whole folder is actually gone I click on electronic arts and all that there is sims4 and packs and when I click on sims4 it try to take me into the Game but then it can't and it automatically go's off
Hey Darielle! The last two patches from EA., all the CC on my Sims dissappear even though I dissable them with TS4 MOD Manager program.Then I have to redo all my sims hair and clothes. Any ideas??

Soo you can try to reset your Mods folder this way and see if it makes things better!
1. Make sure you have mods&cc enabled in your game > close your game
2. Rename your Mods folder into Mods old (but keep your Mods old folder bcs we'll need it later on)
3. Open your game & close it straightaway
4. A new Mods folder should pop up
5. Copy all of your cc (but no script mods!!) from your Mods old to the new Mods folder
6. Download the latest versions for your script mods
7. Put your script mods into your new Mods folder

Hey Danelle, I need help with my Sims4 folder, I thought I deleted it, but I found I think it's hidden cause I saw it and I tried to move it to my EA folder and I thought I did but I don't see it there. But I know it's there, has this ever happened to you? or anyone here and how can I get it back ?
Hey there!! We might have a show hidden folders option turned off!
So we can try to check and see that:
1. Let's go to control panel
2. Search 'file explorer options'
3. Select the View tab
4. See if the 'show hidden files & folders' box is ticked
If it is not, then we can try to enable it, click apply and then OK

Here’s what we can do
Type in the search bar (on your task bar) The Sims 4
Right click on the app > open file location
Right click the selected The Sims 4 app (in that folder that showed up) > Properties > open file location (once again!)
This will open up for us the Sims 4 folder

hii, I have a problem: I have had the sims 4 for over 5 years and everything was fine until I switched from origin to the new ea programm and now my sims 4 folder looks nothing like the original one. It now has folders that are called: _Installer, Data, Delta, EP01, EP02, ... , EP06, Game and Support. Do u have any Idea what he problem might be and how i can get my original folder back?

There might be 2 different sims 4 folders on your computer, one on the local disk c and the other one in your documents folder

Can you help me please lol. My laptop only has 16gb storage and i got a flash drive for just the sims, downloaded the game onto the flash drive and it only came with 5 folders- installer, data, delta, game and support. none of which have the ea folder with all the mods and such. how can i fix this?? i can’t download the game onto my laptops regular storage 😢
Heya!! The thing is, when we install the sims, the ea folder is automatically going to be installed in the Documents folder.
But since there is no Docs folder when we install it on our flash drive, it won’t be generated.
So in order to be able to play the sims 4 fully on hard drive & ALSO have the EA folder in there, we need to install the game on the PC first (so we get that EA folder in the Documents) and then create a link between the Docs folder/EA folder and the flash drive location, if I made sense!
Here’s a tutorial that is of help (in terms of linking the EA folder to the flash drive)

If you search on the windows search bar (on the task bar) Saves, does the saves folder pop up? Do you have there all of your saves?
Did you ever copy + paste or move the location of your Docs/EA folders?

Hey!! There are 3 ways:
- check the recycle bin and see if the cc / the docs folder is there (if so, select all + right click + restore)
- open your onedrive app (if you have it installed on windows) and see if there is a backup for your Documents folder
- check your downloads folder and see if you still have all the downloaded cc there & then unzip them to put them into the new EA folder (the game will generate a new folder if you open it up)
I can find electronic arts but not sims 4
If it’s located in the Documents folder, it should be there
If it isn’t, backing up + resetting the EA folder might help

You can try to type in The Sims 3 or Mods in the search bar on your taskbar and see if those folders show up elsewhere

Here’s what always works for me 🙏
I’m sharing it in hopes it helps you, too!
- open the documents folder
- rename the electronic arts folder into electronic arts old (and keep this folder there, so don’t delete it, bcs we are going to use it later on to copy+ put our files back into the game from here)
- open the game & close it straightaway
- a brand new Electronic Arts folder should show up
- open the new ea > the mods folder should be there
- time to put our files back into the game > access the old ea folder
- open the old saves folder (inside the ea old folder) > select all of your saves files > copy
- access your new electronic arts folder > saves > paste all of your saves there
- we are going to do the same for the tray & screenshots folders
- so access the old ea folder once again > open the old tray folder > select all those files (inside the tray folder) by pressing ctrl+a or by manually selecting them > right click on them > copy
- go into the new ea folder > new tray folder > right click on the folder > paste all those tray files there
The same goes for the screenshots!
If we want to see if we fully copied the files from our old ea folder, then we can compare the number of files for each folder
(Eg. The new saves folder has 150files > go into the old ea > old saves folder > the number should be the same, aka 150 files)

If it is in the bin, you can right click it and restore it
Or press ctrl z to undo the action (if you did not close the pc)
You can also try to search it by typing in the search bar ‘electronic arts’ in case there is another folder on your computer (if you have onedrive enabled)
