He never really liked the finished product because the sound engineering largely due to management's 'add ons' was not what he wanted prior to the release. He was completely in his element live where he was in control and would stop a song countless times until the sound was right sound wise. In front of a live audience was where he truly thrived both from the feedback he got from the crowd and giving him the ability to control how the band sounded and interacting with sound people at the same time. When he was on stage, he was untouchable.

I grew up in Memphis, and Elvis was part of life there as long as I could remember. My oldest sister used to sit across the street from Graceland with her friends, hoping for a glimpse of Elvis. Interestingly, Graceland is pretty close to the church where Al Green used to preach. My best friend had a Graceland/Al Green policy. She would take visitors from out of town to Graceland, but only on Sundays after they first went to Al Green’s church. That’s my Elvis story for the day. Thank you for sharing this song, Harri.
