- I ride from Kasane to Pandamatenga, in Botswana, in Africa.
On the way, many people warn me about the dangers of wild animals on this road, and I meet a couple of elephants and a few giraffes.
As I reach a lodge in Pandamatenga, a group of funny kids surround me, amazed by my trike. In the lodge, I enjoy some luxury food before diving deeper into the bush... tomorrow.

It's nice to see a police officer react to a stranger in unusual circumstances without being hostile or domineering. Some officers elsewhere in the world could benefit from following that example!

Botswana police are very understanding. Got caught there doing 160km/hr. I thought I was headed for the slammer. To my surprise the Policeman forgave me and told me to be careful next time.That can only happen in Botswana!!
compared to the Eastern African region... the Southern is more welcoming cause it understands the culture of tourism.
Especially Burundian police!! Very undisciplined police really!! I can remember how one Burundian police harassed Yves just only for taking a picture!! And Yves was like: "No wonder Burundi is the poorest country in the world" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 he said so all the way pedaling leaving the poor police on the road

No, Kino realized, but you missed something. See 9:21. He writes on screen "Are you still okay?". Kino obviously caught the word "still", meaning since last they spoke, which means both parties recognized each other.

I have been following Yves right from Kenya, am Ugandan but I believe he is on course to reaching Cape Town.
I have been following since last week when his video "first impressions of Botswana" popped out in my feed. I was curious to see how strangers view us but i was pleased that he liked our country. I have been viewing his other videos from Eithopia to Kenya and thoroughly enjoyed them. For your info guys, the northen part of the country is more expensive than other parts of the country. Thats because there is more tourists going there. I'm sure he would find similar accomodation from Francistown all the way to Gaborone for P350 (about $30). Enjoy our beautiful and peaceful country Yves. We like you guys!

Bostswana looks like this desert town I used to live in, in Australia, completely dead flat and everything is dead, termite mounds all over.
May be it is dry season otherwise it may be green. But Kalahari Desert is within proximity
