Buying any used equipment is a pain in the A. You have to be very careful otherwise before you know it, all your money is going to waste! Watch this video till the end, and I'm pretty sure all your doubts will be gone, and you will be confident while purchasing any used computer equipment.
► Things To Check if GPU Temp is High:
1) Casing Airflow. Make sure you have at least 3 fans and the casing can circulate air easily.
2) Dirt. Clean your GPU gently and remove any settled dust on the fans or the card itself.
3) Thermal Paste. If airflow is fine, and there is no dust... Try changing GPU thermal paste as it could be the reason why you're getting high temps.
4) Increase Fan speed, but don't make it very high as it makes the system noisy and it could reduce the lifespan of your GPU Fans if you keep it running for long times.
► MINED GRAPHIC CARD? How to tell if the graphic card is Mined? Well, you can't. All you can check is if the clock speed is the same as stock, or if the clock speed is changed through the BIOS of the card. Secondly, mining is long gone... So it is a lot safe now, especially if buying from trusted seller. Underclocked Mined cards are much safer than Overclocked Mined graphic cards.

@@jaccetaylor3672 because I don't (or didn't at the time) see any TH-camr make such a video. I've seen such videos from other TH-camrs but the ones from Pakistani TH-camrs that I'd seen at the time were just voiceovers on top of gameplay footage. Hope that clarifies :)

But furmark is good for thermal testing as it is a power virus it will make your card draw max power possible. And mostly cards people buy in used have poor/dried out/broken vrm mosfets cooling so they dont do that well in furmark because they need good cooling to maintain higher clocks in a test like furmark.In the end furmark is just good for thermal testing and just to make sure if your psu can handle your card at max power draw.
For performance and overclock stability testin better use something like unigine superpos, 3dmark firestrike (this one is free other tests in 3dmark are also good but paid) , unigine heaven is fine but its outdated.

Just run the CPU and GPU on their stock configuration. No need to overclock them, they will work fine.
Overclocking leads to overheating etc. sometimes but not in all the cases.

just wanna clear some things,, mined cards are used very carefully they are actually downclocked to work at lower voltage and power , a one year mined card would work better than a one year gaming card cimply because its like. the mined card are like driving a car on a straight road at 60mph with very little stops and speed difference where as gaming cards are like driving a car at 120 and then coming down to 6- taking long breaks taking it over speedbreakers and turns, and drifitng it. ik this is hard to believe but just check performance comparision of mined and gamed card. the fan might break but they can be easily replaced and in the end mined cards are just cheaper better cards ;)
