For six months, he held her mentally hostage with threatening pictures, instilling fear for her life if she told anyone. This unfortunately happens too often. One of my young mentees fell victim to this also🥹. She now has an old school mobile phone that can simply call and text. No internet, no social media, nothing.
This is all any child needs under the age of 18 in my opinion ‼️

@@abou8963 that doesn’t stop anything… all you have to do is put in a fake year. ID. Me verification needs to be required. At my job, I validate unemployment insurance appeals and ID. Me is required.. why not for these types of sites. It’s insane.

Exactly !!! That's what I told my kids when they were young. They told me everything. That's the way it should be tho. We were all young once and I'm sure a lot of adults did things we weren't allowed to do.
for anyone wondering why this girl sent the pictures in the first place I can tell you that I told my daughter at least 50 times over years to never share explicit pictures with anyone for any reason. At the age of 17 she did and it was a mess afterwards to say the least. I could have told her "I told you so", but I knew it was no use. She had to learn on her own. But its our responsibility as parents to guard our kids from the world. Let them know its manditory that you are allowed to see their messages online or on their phone until they are adults. If they are on a computer with a webcam, the computer should be in a public place with no closed door and you should monitor what is on that computer. The World is not a safe place.

I agree. And companies are Heartless and stupid. And the courts say parents are responsible when a 45, 55, or 65 decides to cheat a child!

very well spoken. demonstrates just how innocently these situations can begin and then be maximally exploited. this guy had a key to kyra's 12 year-old brain and rewired it to replace safety with fear, innocence with shame, and victimhood with blame. i can imagine the harmful effects of this manipulation remaining long after the embarrassment of leaked images has subsided.

The way my heart would have sank seeing an old ass man behind the camera, knowing you’re already doing something you’re not comfortable doing then seeing someone’s ole pop pops behind the screen just confirming the situation was wild and totally out of hand. Not your fault girl, you should speak at schools too. All the best with your life ❤
You were a child and thats why its calling grooming. Children always feel shame and that cause them to feel guilty and it changes how you assess negative things in your life usually for your whole life. I am so glad that you found strength, may we all heal from the grip of these monsters.
The initial stage of telling her how pretty she was, making her feel special, etc was the grooming part. The part with the pics was ultimately ped@phelia through the likes of extortion and blackmail. Nevertheless, it's only committed by very sick individuals. It amazes me how long these freaks get away with it.
Ive been in a situation like this before as a teen, Its really terrifying especially when your parents are strict and you feel like you have no one. Never let anyone have power over you like this and force you to do things youre uncomfortable with! Thank you for sharing your story

Also the police knew for years, and didnt tell the parents, something tells me some of those officers are still "reviewing" her photos, to this day

Just wanted to say that I cannot believe that a 12yo dates! My daughter had just started going through puberty at 12! She was not allowed to date until she was 16. I am so sorry that creep put you through such an awful experience.
The worst ones are the scammers from overseas who are professionally trained to target vulnerable people. They don't care if it's a child or not, they will do anything for money.

I heard my friends two daughters (age 8 and 9) talking about the cheerleading outfits they wanted because of how short the shorts are. Why would they say that? Because the screens told them to. Now.
