Instead of getting him help, they swept it under the rug and then once others were coming forward about him they once again wanted to sweep it under the rug and pretend like it did not happen. They know damn well that it was happening. The adults in your life have zero excuse for them not protecting you or anyone else that was being abused in that home. It makes me sick when someone doesn’t believe a child. If that child has not been exposed to learning about sex or any sexual interaction, then how else would they know that this is happening to them? How could they make that up?!?! Beyond ignorant! don’t you dare carry any of that guilt or shame Girl. I am proud of you for being a survivor and a warrior. I know how you feel.
I want to adopt this precious woman ❤ How can we help families BREAK this cycle of abuse? These stories break my heart, so I can’t imagine how broken their hearts were/are.
