I really like him, I’m already scared, but he’s so relaxed and so informative, I calm down and just listen to him. I appreciated him sharing his own experience as well, which means so much as far as sharing. But, he gives you options, least invasive treatment to other alternatives. One thing, yes , tried all the creams,but don’t bleed every day with bowel movement because I’ve fiber extra into daily. One thing annoying, I’ve to wear a pad in underwear with creams every day….don’t feel confident without .

Regardless of what happens, I'm not letting any surgeon (whether it's a general surgeon or a true proctologist) perform hemorrhoidectomy or THD. The THD sounded like it could be a more tolerable alternative at first, but I heard it's about as painful as excision. In that case, why do they even do it? Fistulotomy is not unbearable, but there's no way I'm letting any doctor go in with cold metal shears (or stitches) to extract or reduce hemorrhoids.

Hi Dr.Chung, I recently left a few comments on different videos explaining my thrombosis hemorrhoid it just popped and began to drain. A color similar to lasagna sauce and ricotta cheese. I’m not as worried bc you mentioned they can pop and it’s similar to your procedure of lancing the hemorrhoid. What steps can I take for cleaning and prevent inflection since the clot ate through the skin as you explained. Thank you for the public knowledge and your welcomed!
To the Friendly Proctologist, can Hemorrhoidal Energy Therapy and Infrared Coagulation be viable solutions? I heard one doctor describe them as "sham procedures." My father had I.R.C. done and it seemed to help him. I had a failed banding procedure with a gastro after colonoscopy.

Hi Dr. Chung, I have been watching your videos on and off now, but can you have a topic on thrombosed hemorrhoids? I have been operated like twice already one when I was 16 but, it was I think a laser preocedure wherein they cut the inflamed ones and right now where I'm 7 days post op. But as to healing I think right now is much harder compared to last last time because it was a thrombosed type of internal hemorrhoids..

What are Rx options for Non thrombosed External heamorroid which is not returning inside???
Hi Doc, is it advisable to treat external hemorrhoids at the very early stages? If so, what can be done in the office? Most of the specialists I’ve seen have dismissed treatment aside from prescribing creams and advice to keep stools soft. But my stools are soft and I don’t have constipation, but I keep getting external hem flare ups.

Can small and visible external hemorrhoids be surgically removed? Or rather, can they be operated on in between flare ups when they aren't as big? Logistically, I'm curious how that works since patients may have surgery scheduled weeks away.
I sometimes remove them in my office.

Since the internal sphincter muscle is not under our control. Does the kegel exercise and diltiazem gel help the muscle to relax and allow for anal fissure to heal ?
I get this doubt coz my fissure problem started last month and now it sprouts now and then but no much pain. It just burns a lil bit while pooping on some days say monthly twice or once.
I'm a big fan of exercise to help you learn what it feels like to relax.
@@yourfriendlyproctologistDR. Chung sir, but do you think kegel / pelvic floor construction exercises where you train and squeeze those muscles could damage fissure more. Or it's necessary to heal better.
Home remedy for external hemorrhoid?
That has really freaked me out at the moment my hemorrhoids don't cause me to much issues.
But does that mean that they are

Love your videos. After 5 bandings within a year, the hemorrhoid(s) persist and the bands continue falling off within 48 hrs? Any suggestions? Are there special bands besides the mini rubber bands?
I would get a second opinion. Not sure why you don't feel better after 5 bandings.
In the same situation myself
Finally this last banding which both fell off within 20 hrs. it lasted enough to remove the bleeding one.
So far for myself no bleeding or external inflamation.
I am treating it like a win.

@@kranch173 Hi. Didn’t realize it’s been a year since I posted but I probably got 9 more banding visits in 2022. December was my last. They kept falling off and I was charged for each visit. I’ve been taking psyllium husk daily to help and avoid any straining. The bands they use are pretty useless. I was thinking it should have some adhesive/glue or be tinier of better quality to hold better.
I think the only other option is to have surgery to get them cut off and sewn. Well, good luck.

Mine, kept falling off since Feb 2021.
It is mucusy, and they shrink throughout the day.
Mine even did try double banding at one point.
My hemorrhoids are so big, they need their own jock strap.
Doc just wanna ask , if external himorrhoid starts to inflamed and it has mild pain, is external himorrhoid produce small amount of mucous? Jelly like . Is that need to be concerend?

I had an external hemorrhoid and it popped by itself when I was using the restroom. I felt instant relief and recovered by the next day.
Now years later I got another one that hurts more than the first one. It is smaller and I am tempted to poke it with a needle because I need to get back to work asap

I have a question Do I have to do surgery now and I’m using Boraza G Ointment given by doctor but after I apply it, it starts itching so bad but still it’s good for healing.Do we have any other ointment besides this.

Is RINDERON-VG Ointment 0.12% good for fissure? I was told to apply on outside part of anus to prevent skin tightening from fissure and I felt good after applying it but also felt burning sensation

Hello sir few days back like 6 days , I had open hemorrhoidactemy surgery and after that I had light bleeding and pus discharge from my rectum. Pus discharge often, it discharge after every 60 minutes . Please let me know is it normal or not.

This is funny, because, I had never had external hemorrhoids but one day I had two it all started on May 5 2024 I'm better and they are reducing there size but it has take so much effort and I by no reason can strain when going to the bathroom, I will say right now my best friend is Miralax day by day and eating extremely good

I'm 35 and been dealing with external hemorrhoids. Surgeon said next time I have an external flare up that they'll surgically remove the blood vessel causing the issue. Surgeon said this is not considered a hemorrhoidectomy. Regardless I'm very nervous about the procedure. I've been taking a cocktail of Hesperiden, Diosmin, and Citrus Bioflavonoids in a effort support my blood vessels. Anecdotally speaking, have you heard this to be beneficial and do you have any recommendations. I also take Citrucel daily and my stool is soft and tubular.
Look up HemHealer. It has helped me a lot. Not nearly as bad after movements and they relax faster as well since I usually get some sort of small flare up after each movement. Started taking them when I was dealing with an awful experience of external hems that made me miss work for a week because of the pain and trouble walking.
Yes, it can be beneficial if your problem is only limited to the outside hemorrhoids. A careful examination should be done so you don't have other issues.

I have done my piles laser surgery both internal and external 20 days before. Still its very painful. I m taking stiz bath 4 times a day. I cant apply ointment inside the anus as its very painful. Is it compulsory to apply the ointment ? If i don't apply the ointment, what will happen?

I keep trying to see what’s going on “back there”. It’s hard to position a mirror and get the lighting right. I ended up using FaceTime from one iPad to another and just hovered over one while viewing the other. I can’t seem to locate my anus, but there’s what looks like a purple testicle right where I think it should be. I poked at it with a steel pick and the pain was so intense….Anyway I seem to have a massive hemorrhoid, a crushed iPad and small cuts all over my buttocks. The ER nurse said I need to lay on my stomach for a few days (which is how the hemorrhoid started) and I’ve realized I’m too stupid to go to medical school. Enjoy your videos very much. Subscribed.

I'm 18 but I'm already on 5th stage, been bleeding for a year now. My family are against surgery since my aunty who took one wasn't cured from it. I have a question Doc, can I still do workouts despite of this because I don't want to be stucked for another year being extremely cautious about it. It takes like 2 hrs before the lump shrinks then I can finally move properly.

Wow, watching them melt away within 48 hours felt so good, and yes, I used what I mentioned the other day. It actually took a bit more to make them totally disappear, I just go’ogled Melissa Thanderski and the pain was no more.

I agree with Nafiz 100% This Doc is really interested in clout and video consults.
No one works for free and the doctor gets that in order to have a balance between informing us for free and growing his channel, he needs a little showmanship and personality, else his videos sound like documentaries. Seriousness doesn’t sell, just watch any big TH-camr and you’ll see all of them sensationalize because views+subscribers=$.
Bottom line: no one works for free, there is always some type of incentive that gets people moving.
