Hi Ryan, loving the channel and your learning experiences. It might be worth just revisiting the exhaust near the seat for any potential heat / leg & seat burning issues being how close it is. keep learning and the channel is great for us beginners.
check out the exhaust on a 1970s Honda CL450, the pipes run just above the engine crankcase and then horizontally all the way to the back - stunning exhausts and that way they are nowhere near the seat - good luck!
It might be best if you get a mudguard first to roughly know where the hoop position needs to be , like the look of the proposed exhaust route , but not sure if it's achievable due to the heat , looking forward to next episode, its starting to take shape
Even with an isolated muffler and heat wrapped pipes it might be dangerously hot tucked into the seat and very close to your butt 😮 will keep you warm though 😅
Hi, the sump is certainly lower than the exhaust, but around here there are deep ruts caused by 4x4's so its the sides of the bike that hits the walls of the ruts.
3rd time lucky maybe - check out the super dream scrambler on lace h00k meerkat plaice (deliberately misspelt) - i tried to paste a link but it got removed twice! it has the cl450 style exhaust I mentioned on a superdream scrambler - looks good, hope u can find it
Hi Tim, I have found a blue one with a custom 2 into 1 exhaust in Margate, so presume this is the one? Looks interesting as they are using a shield like I had in mind for my legs, but hung lower to avoid the seat. Thanks
That pipe is running awfully close to the seat. Even if you don't mind a burnt arse, I think it would melt the seat cover. Heat shield might help, but there isn't much room for that, either.

Thanks Neil, i am hopeful that with wrapping and heatsheild it could be okay, but i am giving thought to other options.

Thanks Tim, i will google an image of that bike.

That sounds like good advice. Thank you.
Heat on the seat ain’t good Ryan. Great video as always and your doing a great job.
Thank you once again. 👍🏻
You must might have to route the exhaust a little lower at the back if possible Ryan👍
Thanks Derek, i am considering my options.
How about a bash plate for the sump - attach to front engine mounts and collector box mount under the engine
Thats not impossible, I will give that more thought. Thank you.

Thanks KI, I'm hearing this feedback from others too, so i am considering my options.
Yh mate looks great
Thanks.
I think your gonna burn your ass on that exhaust lol, and the seat base is only nylon so very low melting point, other than that great work as usual.
Had exactly the same thought!😮
Thanks Pete, you are perfectly correct, but I have a sneaky plan to resolve these issues (that may or may not work!!)
Ryan, how low is the underside of the sump? You might be going to a lot of trouble for nothing . . .

Thanks Tim, i will try searching for it later. 👍🏻 I think all URL's are automatically removed. Its not me doing it.

Glad u found it!

Hi, i think you may well be correct, i have a plan to help that issue which i hope will work well enough.
Can't put exhaust there you would burn your leg off 😅
Thanks Mike, was thinking wrap and sheild may be enough. But not sure myself yet.
