That gear shifter mod should work perfectly 😊

Thank you KI, Today I received the footrests and rear mudguard, so once I receive your package, there should be nothing more needed to sort the back end.

Before you throw out the old brake hose, my suggestion would be to offer it up to the caliper and master cylinder and see if one of the banjos is at the correct angle, then measure the angle and use that info when you order your new hose. Don't forget to check what angle the two ends need to be to each other rotationally, when the line is out straight, and include that in the specification, so you don't end up with a twist in it.

Thank you Rick, I will dive in bin and fetch it out quick. Never ordered a custom hose before so wouldn't know in advance what details are necessary.

Hi Ryan, another methodical work out for your brain with good solutions to the foot peg and gear lever so keep going, your doing a great job !
Just a thought but you could have a bespoke brake hose made with angled fittings to come out the top of the caliper where the notch is and then up to the brake lever leaving enough slack to clear when on full lock. This would negate the need to have a loop and so the brake fluid would have a more straight forward path to travel and potentially less resistance even though it is a fluid.

Thanks Neil, sorry for the slow reply, but I think we are on the same wavelength on this.

you need CB250T foot rests to fit the brackets and it will bring the foot rest further forward, nice one working out the gear lever.

Thanks Pete, I suspected as much, but I have now got an alternative foot rest that I think will work.

Before you go modifying stuff or buying new pegs make sure what you are thinking is a comfortable and ergonomic riding position or you may end up changing it again. Another vote also for Venhill brake lines (great quality and lots of options for an item that will outlast the bike) noting that the banjos screw onto the fitted hose so you can avoid twists. Keep plugging away looking good so far.

Honda CM 250 / 400 TB foot plates hangers and pegs will put your feet where they need to be ,

Thank you, if my alternative plan fails I may well consider that solution.

Second shout for Venhill brakes hoses. You can select the length of line you need plus the right banjo fittings. Brakes are safety critical items. Any second hand rubber lines will be past their best now. Not worth skimping on something like that.

It's better to find a foot rest for the T model. I had the same problem on my current project!
