One somewhat alternate scene I thought of (and I know it's perhaps not a realistic scene) is that Soyona got into a fight with Claire, grabbed her by her neck, and lifted her off the ground.
Thank you. I know its not perfect (and by jingo have the CC fans and the Spino haters wasted no time telling me that) but i gave it a go (which is far more than they have.) Glad you enjoyed it. Might try to tackle the JW trilogy as a whole and kinda outline what my trilogy would look like perhaps.
Your version of what the film should’ve been sounds way better than what it turned out to be. If only the people at Universal, could have thought of your idea themselves, the film could’ve turned out much better. Though I would’ve kept the dimetrodons for the cave scene or instead replace them with sabertooth tigers. And in the scene where we see stegosaurus and triceratops, I would add woolly mammoths in it as well. I know you might disagree with me on those changes, but it will illustrate that dinosaurs and other Mesozoic animals are not the only prehistoric species being cloned.
So im aware that it was very much a Camp Cretaceus thing to show that cenozoic animals were being cloned too. I personally wanted to avoid crossing the film continuity over with the shows as i find the 'marvelisation' of films, where you have to watch multiple tv shows to understand them completely, to be a bad thing.
Anyone can make a better dominion. One thing I hate though is people just thinking a bunch of T.rexes versus the spino in the final showdown somehow makes it better. As if there aren’t a bajillion problems with it
@destroyerzilla7634 Yea, I hate when rewrites get way too fanservicey. Like it just sounds stupid getting every known Rex in the franchise to beat up one Spino because of fanboy rage
@@tri-clawgaming7682 the point that shouldn't have been there because canonically it was captured by the Mantah corporation. The animated series Camp Cretaceous explains it. Putting the Spinosaurus there is fanservice. Dominion doesn't need to add external stuff but fix what's in the movie.
I really couldnt give a shit about the two animated kids shows ^^. As far as im concerned they arent canon to the movies but you are welcome to your opinion mr spinosaurus hater ^^
"Rewriting Dominion is no easy task." I think Dominion would be the easiest film to rewrite. I've noticed that all of the Jurassic World films have good ideas that are poorly executed, if at all. A fully-functioning dinosaur theme park and the struggle to build and maintain it could be a movie in and of itself. Training dinosaurs to be weapons of war is stupid, but I could definitely see a movie about a company making "domestic" versions of dinosaurs to sell to customers. The thing I like most about your rewrite is that it actually continues the story set up by Fallen Kingdom, with the main being about dinosaurs on the mainland and how they're being/going to be dealt with. It's low hanging fruit, but clearly not low enough considering how Dominion actually turned out.
I love what you’ve done with this, but I would have definitely added atleast one nod/reference to Camp Cretaceous/Chaos Theory. Like maybe having a scene with Toro, Bumpy, Chaos, or the Eaties. Maybe even mention the Spinoceratops, Angel and Rebel, being kept and tortured in that scene with the baby hybrids. Edit: this was peak. I really wish this is what the real film was. Everything in it felt extremely satisfying being a fan of paleontology and the Jurassic franchise. Everything just made me so happy watching this. Showing that the dinosaurs are actual animals and having all of this is just oh it’s just amazing. Having the Troodons is such a good call back to Jurassic Park: The Game. It’s amazing just I can’t even contain how happy this made me.
Thank you As for the CC or CT refernces...my issue is i have never watched them and i personally consider them too 'cartoony' for inclusion into the film universe. I wanted to create a story that was solidly grounded in the film continuity, as well as try to get back some of tension and fear. But the bigger reason theres no references to them is i simply havent watched them, and so didnt really feel i knew them enough to include a worthwhile reference. For me references have to be more than just fan service, they have to serve a purpose. Hence the spinosaurus reveal here serving the purpose to update its design, update its mannerisms and also highlight alans appreciation of the animal.
@@tri-clawgaming7682Personally I think CC and Chaos Theory are worth the watch. Chaos Theory is just fixing Dominion mistakes left and right and is commonly seen by the fandom as "much better version of Dominion". CC itself is for younger audiences but its still confirmed to be canon and should be respected as it. Its also not that cartoony. Sure seasons 4 and 5 are insane but seasons 1-3 are genuienly great and season 3 itself is much creepier than any Jurassic World movie. It Has suprisingly big kill count and sure main characters here dont die but in the movies main characters also are never dying. And honestly everything that happens in CC is not less silly than guys from Dominion who could shoot Atrociraptors but decided to run instead xd Characters are also better written than any Jurassic World trilogy character and it explains few plot holes. Just because it doesnt have blood and guts it doesnt mean its bad. Besides it is suprisingly brutal. I mean...people are dying off screen but usually you can hear their bones getting crushed And as I said it is 100% canon. Action of the show literally was set in motion because Indominus Rex rampage.

They have hotels on the island and that would be nice hiding spot for them. In the show they live in the jungle. Not to mention one of them is Dino nerd who knows everything about natural dinos on Nublar. In the show they are just so unlucky that few really dangerous dinos somehow always find them and chase them even though its not worth the effort. Yeah if it was "realistic" they would have good shot. And yes characters are very well written. Every single one of them Has character development. One suffers from severe PTSD which in the movie is shown like once in JP3 for few seconds. They are not just well written for JW standards. They just are. "Kids show" argument is silly. There are many amazing kids show that put those "adult, bloody" shows to shame. @@tri-clawgaming7682And I as adult women with common sense can tell you that clonning dinosaurs is impossible and two kids in the first movie wouldnt survive because in reality T rex would see them anyway or Raptor would catch them So does that mean the first Jurassic park movie is trash?
I don't blame you for not liking this film at all either because let's just be honest they used the same writer from The Fast and Furious movies for Jurassic world dominion and we all know how crappy the latest Fast and Furious films have been.
@tri-clawgaming7682 the latest ones from the same writer are very bad and when I found out who the writer was and I thought well that makes sense why the movie was bad. I am grateful that Universal is actually taking the time of hiring back the same writer from the first Jurassic Park film for this film and I'm hoping that it'll be giving off The Vibes of the Jurassic Park sequel we wanted for a long time and my hope is Jurassic world rebirth will carry on that JP vibe.
Even though I do like the Jurassic Franchise, I didn't like Dominion that much. The moment I heard of some scenes, I knew I had to watch the full thing. And I have to say, you did a great job rewritin' it. I'm glad you've removed the Prehistoric Locust plotline, as I know that's a major issue. I also like how Dr. Wu finally gets his sacrifice, which I'm surprised didn't happen in the actual movie. And the fact that you gave the Troodons a special scene makes me happy, as I wanted to see them on the big screen ever since Jurassic Park The Game. It may not be perfect, but it would've made for a way better conclusion than the actual movie.
This is honestly a pretty good rewrite. I like how the Tyrannosaurus is portrayed so much better than it has been in the films. I loved seeing the Spinosaurus in a more peaceful light. I do kind of miss the Dimetrodons, but the Troodon is a really good choice. I wonder what will become of Beta though as she's now an orphan, unless I missed something.
Yeah one of the areas that i didnt really focus much on in the re-write. I would probably have the baby blue shown in the final scenes living in a raptor pack with the JP3 raptors, as a sort of symbololic connection between the JP raptors and JW raptors
Removing the entire mutant locust and crop monopoly plot would have improved the movie by 200%. Replace it with showing more impacts on the ecosystem from the dinosaurs and fleshing out the search for Beta and the Malta black market.
