Yes, it came with a full set of instructions. The Castle Link adapter allows you to hook your ESC up to the Castle Link software on a computer and change a variety of settings. Drag brake, throttle/brake curve, and other settings like motor direction can be adjusted. 👍
GREAT video and camera work. I'm new to the rc world and thinking about upgrading my motor, too. I was looking at this setup, I have Kraton... hoping I will keep temps low like yours. Keep posting!!!
Hey man so i just got a mamba monster two but it's from an xo-1 so it has the big extra cap pack soldered into it so it's almost double the length of normal mamba monster 2 any idea how i can mount it? Thanks
I'm going to order the same exact set up for my notorious 6s v4... How much of a difference did it make over stock system??? Do I need anything else to run this set up???
Nice! This system is much smoother and more adjustable than the stock combo. Seems to have a little more power too. You shouldn’t need anything else, just a plug to solder on the esc.
Brock Diesel You’ll need the Castle Link programming kit if you’d like to make adjustments to the esc’s settings. Castle ESCs usually come with a code that you can enter on their website to receive a free Castle Link. I don’t believe that code includes a USB to Micro USB adapter, so you’d probably have to purchase that separately if you don’t already have one.
@@LVC_RC ok naw I don't own one so I will add one to order... Thanks you so much for your help brother I'll be posting it on my channel when it comes in as well as install.... New sub here 🍻 bash on bro 💪💯
I’m thinking to swap in my motor and esc from a Kronos i have into my Notorious. I know the systems are similar but I think the Kronos has a better esc and motor that delivers a lot of power on 6s. This is a cool swap you did I do like Castle stuff. People forget about castle sometimes because of HW which are great also though.
Hey G what were your diff weights here I know now what to look for and clearly saw what wasn’t happening like diff’N out your weights are spot on and what a session this was I thought you said take it easy 😎😂😂
Hey! I'm actually still running the stock diff fluid weights. I've thought about going thicker in the center diff, but the 10K/100K/10K setup has felt good. 😄👍
Very nice upgrade dude, the truck sounds a lot smoother. Just curious, did you gear down to compensate for the higher kv motor? Even if you didn’t you’d be fine with that nice fan setup.👍
Thanks! It’s buttery smooth now.👌 I left the gearing stock actually. The motor temps seem to hang around 130 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about the same as the stock 2050kv. 👍
Nice flippin action🤘 I have a granite I've converted into a 4s outcast (blx120 esc with surpass hobby 3670 2850kv motor) I'm contemplating grabbing the mamba x esc. How has it performed for you since this installation?
@@LVC_RC kickass man thanks. Yeah it's a pretty rad little machine, just threw some kraton exb shocks on it with mx28's, 18t pinion on hot racing motor mount 😈its evil for a 4s rig
I don't think it's that much faster. Also it depends on gear ratios. This upgrade is mostly for more control over the vehicle and smoother acceleration and a lot more adjustability. But a Max 8 combo would've been just fine for a lot less money if he really just wanted to solve the issues he had 😉
@@Bro_wdf_you_doing a max 8 isn't less money. The BLX185 is a downgraded Hobbywing quiqrun 150a (with less adjustability). You can get a BLX185 for 60$ if you're wanting to buy from a chop shop. But the max 8 is better. EDIT: oh you were referring to the mamba, whoops. Yeah the mamba is a lot more expensive, but probably also better. Depends on how much money you want to spend. Regarding the motors, I don't really know much about them but I don't think there is much of a difference. Keep in mind the mamba monster is sensored, the max 8 isn't.
With two cooling fans and a heat sink, it stays very cool. I'm sure this system would do even better in the Typhon since that vehicle has smaller tires. 👌
The esc was unusable, so I trashed it. The motor is actually already on its way to a new home. 👍 I use BRP double sided tape, it has worked very well for me. I get ya, double sided tape can get frustrating!👌😎 Thanks for watching!
Arrma Outcast looks so good with castle power!
just got this for the lmt, its really versatile
Mamba. the king of POWER! those electronics are huge!!!
They’re no joke for sure...😳 Loving the smooth power so far. Thanks for watching! 👊😄
Great video man. I just got this exact electronic set up for my outcast. $170 brand new can't beat it. Thanks
Wow, very nice! It's an excellent combo, hope you enjoy yours. 😄👍
Excellent upgrade. Looks much more responsive with the Castle setup.
It’s definitely more responsive; I’m loving it so far. Seems to be a very solid setup. Thanks for watching, I always appreciate it! 👊😎
this video made me want to get back into rc
Do it! You won’t regret it. 😉
I did it now have 6 rc lol. And my son is loving it. Great time
Just put the Mamba Monster X my Notorious. Cant wait to run it!!!!! Nice vid.
Enjoy it! The MMX is a great system. 👍
Nice video dude!
Thank you! 👊😄
Awesome upgrades and test run
Thank you for watching! 😎👍
Great vid brother. Very clear camera work on the install.
Thanks! 👍
Awesome video , I just put this same set up in my revo 3.3 electric conversion 6s lipo it's now a 70+mph monster unlike the 40mph nitro truck it was.
The late frontflip 👀
That wheelie bar at the wing is amazing for those long runs. Great video, castle power system is crazy fast.
Damp Action RC Thanks for watching! 👊😄 Definitely loving this Castle system so far. 👌
Awesome man, such a beast🤘🏻😎
Thanks, it’s a monster for sure! 👊😉
Did it come with instructions on how to calibrate the esc? Also what is the castle link?

How did those plastic yeah racing fans hold up?
The stock fans that came with the heat sink didn’t last long, but the upgraded aluminum Tornado Plus fans held up well. 👍
Hi i just put this combo in my et48 2.0 it rocks👍🇬🇧
Glad to hear that you’re liking it! It was a great system for me throughout the time I ran it. 👌

Hey man, cool video! Question would it be overkill to put a momba 8s with this 1515 2200 kv in a kraton exb 6s?
What pinion are you running on this? I set mine up with a 18t and i cannot keep the front tires on the ground and the motor gets hot fast?
I believe I was still using the stock pinion.
How do you like the upgrade with the Mamba monster x with the Castle 1515 /2200kv vs the stock electronics in your Outcast?
UpliFT-RC I’m absolutely loving it so far! 👌 Having a sensored combo is a game changer. It’s super smooth.
@@LVC_RC Finally my motor on my v3 Kraton burnet up on me so I will be adding this combo to my kraton.
Would you recommend this combo for a Stampede 4x4?
I think it would be a little too heavy and large for the Stampede 4x4.
@@LVC_RC I'll keep that in mind ! Thanks for the reply !
so the Castle at 2200KV is more potent than the stock BLX at 2050?
what was your receiver and transmitter
I believe it was still the stock Tactic TTX300 and TR325 at the time of this video. 👍
That looks very nice bro, I put a hobby star 4092 in mine
Nice! That thing must rip! 😎
Can i ask what pinion gear you use? Or what is the highest pinion u can use with a 2200kv motor without over heating it
Lenny Geijs I’m still using the stock gearing actually. 👍 You can gear it higher, but I’m not sure how high exactly.

Absolutely, I think it would work very well on 4s in a Kraton EXB. 👍

This started out as the 2019 Outcast 6s. 👍
