In this video I am featuring some early impressions of the Simjack Pro pedals available through AliExpress. These are some of the cheapest premium sim racing pedals available, and I just had to try them out.

After your review, I bought a set for my son to replace the TruBrake modded G25 pedals he inherited from me. Having seen, tried, and made a couple of mods, I am giving my V3i to him and keeping the SimJacks.
I used skateboard bushings to replace the brake spring instead of buying branded pedal rubbers. 80a, 90a or 96a (soft, medium, hard). These revealed the benefit 200kg load cell!
Barn Find is an excellent description. The build quality of HV is clearly better (I have used them but could not justify buying them), but I am sure I can get these to be very similar with some "Barn Find Care."
Do yourself a favor and get some skateboard bushings for the brake Mike. I've had these for several months and couldn't be happier with them.
Same. I use the skateboard bushes in place of the preload spring of the brake. I’ve also heard that car sway bar bushes can work well too.
Do you have a guide for this?
@@gatorhighlights4 Sorry, no guide but it couldn't be easier. Just buy some stiff skateboard truck bushings and replace the rubber bushings in the SimJack brake. Use a little silicone lube when swapping (use silicone, not WD40 or anything that will harm rubber) to keep them running smoothly.
Hi, nice review. Do you think the hydraulic rods make any sense? They also ship regular rods if you choose the one with hydraulic rods?
Really looking forward to knowing what you come up with in terms of setup. Really happy with my set so far and a ton of customisation potential. I got them without the rods, though.
I’m very excited to share it with you. The video is ready to go and should come out Tuesday. The pedals feel excellent
@@SimRacing604 that's great!! If it helps, another idea for a video would be to dig into how to set up the clutch pedal in a realistic way. I'm referring to how to calibrate it so that the bite point matches the point the clutch engages in game. Thanks for your awesome work.
Thanx for showinging
Aside from stiffening them up a bit ...
I also own this set for a few days now and I have limited the way of travel for the brake and gas pedal by adjusting the red plastic rools to about 50%.
Also elastomers have already been ordered (80A, 90A, longboard dampers).
Compared to my previous G29 with Truebrake mods, that's at least a 100:1 improvement. 😜
Costs shipped to the EU: ~ € 192 for the 3 pedal set
additional 19% EUST (which corresponds to VAT) and 2.7% customs duty
These have been 50% off forever. I keep thinking about getting them, but I've been too scared to. Finally a trustworthy reviewer!
The pedal travel can be adjusted along with several other things. These pedals are not ment to be just used out of the box. You need to adjust them to your preference.
This is very true. However, swapping the brake spring for a couple of skateboard bushings is a definite must-do.
seems like it is too difficult to comprehend for some people
"50% off" is just the price :) - They are always about $250-275
Looking forward to an update on what you have done to upgrade and Mod, I managed to get the two pedal set with two rods for £152 incl Vat and shipping and came in just under the customs charges limit so £152 was all in, I plan on upgrading them with Haptics made from a Nobsound amp with Daytonaudio DAEX25 pucks to drive the feedback from simhub software, done this way it seems to be the most cost effective cheapest way to get to feel at least ABS and TC through the pedal faces and I will have to see if I can get away with a few others such as curb strikes and the like without muddying the haptic feedback too much.
This video os a godsend, i´m in search for a 3 pedal around the 500 euros mark but so far can´t find something that fits but i don´t want to keep using the g29 pedals specially since i´ve ordered the MOZA r12+wheel. Tried the Fanatec CSL pedals and they are meh, the MOZA ones on that price point are basically the same so these are looking quite enticing, specially if you end up finding good elastomers for the brake. Can´t wait for part 2 :P
I got them on sale as well. Worth it. Upgrading a set of moza srp lite
I ordered these pedals because the price in my country, including shipping, was $180 (a complete set with three dampers). They haven't been delivered yet, but I think it's a good deal. It's a pity that there's not much information about these pedals on the internet. But I'm switching from the standard Thrustmaster T3PA, so these will definitely be better :)
In my country, used TLCM pedals are more expensive than these.
I was about to order the Moza SR-P for $264, but I came across the SimJack Pro and decided to take a chance.
I'm looking forward to your full review of these pedals.
How are they?
about pedal travel ... its like this .. its up to YOU haha , ill explain : long pedal means more "pedal control"/"actuation" meaning the longer the brake or gas pedal , the more FINE adjustments you can make with your feet .. so for a long pedal lets just say it gives 0-100 in fine pedal adjustments mid braking/gas short pedals : they are also good but for other reasons .. short pedals mean full throttllle faster .. or full brake pressure faster , so be like 0-50-75% but those 50/75% markers are actually the 100% .. so its really your choice .. do you want full input quicker or do you want more full control over said pedals ..
did you review simforge pedals? if so which do you prefer?
looking forward to see how you tune these pedals to pick up some tips. i bought these to upgrade from the fanatec csl lc pedals because they were so cheap in my region (basically ~$120USD shipped with only the hydraulic rod installed on the brake pedal) and i could never get the csl lc pedal adjusted fully to my liking with various spring/elastomer setups. i liked the longer brake travel of these pedals right out of the gate and feel like i can trailbrake better than my csl lc, but strangely i liked the throttle of the csl pedals better as i find the throttle to be too "squishy" and doesn't rebound as crisply as the other throttle pedals i've used so far.
Hey, where did you buy them from?
@@Alex-eu7ls TaoBao, so basically AliExpress in China w/ free shipping to HK
Do you think they are worth getting with a base plate right now as they are even more discounted currently for me if i dont have a rig? (i use a cammus c5 and load cell modded logitech g29 pedals which i hate as they have 0 brake travel)
I made a baseplate out of wood. I actually had speaker stands putting a diy wood base on a 30" tall side table that I wasn't using. I pulled both bases which were perfect sizes for a base plate I bolted to a thin metal base plate on a GT Omega Art rig, and inverted the pedals. I used the other plate as a foot rest. The wood was already routed for rounded edges and painted black. :)
I have had these pedals for about 2 months they do have a bit of play that is true but you dont really feel it i got the hydraulic rod included from the seller for the gas pedal, does not feel stiff whatsoever honestly feels great it cost me $7usd more
Where would you rank these in regards to say a set of Fanatec CSLs with the LC? Worth the upgrade, or keep saving?
In part 2 I “tuned” these pedals and they now feel fantastic. I need a bit more time to process and test them, but they’re quickly climbing my ranks and I would say they are going to land comfortably above the CSL pedals with the LC
@@SimRacing604 good to know. thanks!
Nice video
I bought them for $200 equivalent in my region including shipping
They were replacing fanatec csl elite gen1
After 4months of ownership i would agree with your comments on the brake bushing and i liked the clutch but could not make it more stiffer and also feeling the bite more realistic
My biggest issue though is with the gas pedal
The shaft sleeve had a bit of play out of the box and it got worse to the point where i need to fix them not to mention the noise that comes with this excessive play
Its a pity because they are great value for money overall
Fantastic video Mike! I’ve had these in my AE cart for months now and this is the cheapest they have ever been, and these should be a big upgrade from my current T-LCMs. Have you tried swapping the clutch and throttle springs? Many on the interwebs have had the same criticisms of the springs in both and have found swapping them to be a good solution.
I really didn't like how stiff the throttle was when I got mine either (coming from g27 throttle), but while using it before I got a chance to get a different spring I got used to it and now like it more
Do you know if the Heusinkveld upgrade kit work with these pedals?
yes and no - the rod on these is M10 i believe and for HE is M8 - but can be made to work
does they have a system load cell like the fangirls?
Are these hall Sensor or potentiometer
What shoes do u use
Lack of proprietary software is a plus for me.
might be time to sell my T-LCM's esp as I have to use them in USB mode anyway
Are these worth selling my fanatec v3 for these?
Yes they a are far better. More tuning and better feeling
Only get two pedals for that price in Australia :/
He said he paid 422cad, but we can get 3 pedals for $324aud+ gst here...
I actually think that the fact that there is no software and all the values are raw is an amazing thing. You can be do pretty much whatever you want
Oh, interesting point. I hadn’t thought of it like that, but you’re right!
@@SimRacing604 Ordered one set for myself last night, Thanks for your video!
How much time do you spend adjusting the pedals in your real car? ZERO. You just get used to the way they feel. I treat these "fake" pedals exactly the same. Yes, you could spend hours fiddling with them, but wouldn't you just rather be racing? The DiView software does the job. No extra springs/elastomers to swap in and out. That's why they're cheap. I bought them to upgrade from t-lcm's and they are vastly superior. Love 'em.
You buy these sort of pedals for the adjustability surely
Yeh, cus we all drive race cars, GT3/GT4/F1/MX5's on tracks all day every day so we should just get used to what we are given, seems smart
@@trevz1048 - they are, ignore the above.
😂😂😂
Sitting here watching this video with my Logitech Momo set that I bought second hand in 2005 for 50 dollars lol, I do wonder how much of me sucking at simracing comes from this..
allot
any updates on upgrade?
I hope to have the third instalment of this video series done this month. I have the upgrades installed and working, but I now need to do more testing.
@@SimRacing604looking forward to the third video! Ghost Sim Racing (a rebranded American reseller with bearing and elastomer upgrades) just restocked and I’m debating between them, the Simforge pedals you reviewed, and Simagic P1000s. The Ghost Sim Racing pedals and pedal plate will be just shy of $400 landed to my door. Simforge comes in at about $520, same with the P1000.
Do you think the Simforge are with $120 over the Simjacks?
is it better than fanatec Loadcell(cheapest one)
Definitely, yes.
@@SimRacing604 thanks
They are always 50% off they are 250 dollar pedals
I gave a thumb down on your first review. You should have did a quick basic adjustment to them first before saying anything.
wow it seems that you don't use Content Manager and any PP filters. WTF??? 2023 here
